Link Web App points to CRM

I'm not sure this is the right place to post a feature request, but I hope that Yes.

I really wish that when there is submitted by a client, Web App components that the CRM record for this customer had a direct link with their elements of web application.  If I could have what I always wanted, I'd like the option extend CRM to give you the possibility to extend it with a Web App form, which I guess would be a command.  I'd be happy as a clam if there wasn't just a tab in the view of the CRM client, or even just a link added in the more dropdown menu.

Alternatively, if long forms CRM had some features that is only available in Web applications, like linking to other applications or modules by using the Data Source - I probably not count on web apps so much.

Bottom line is that, as it is now - if you have a customer who, for one reason or another, includes additional information in a web application, this is a very tedious to click their CRM folder in the web application, then find them in elements, etc..  It would be so nice to have just a simple link to click back between the two.

See you soon

As soon as BC finished the new API V3 you must web app that connects.

1. you can have a web form update that updates a details of people including their custom CRM entries. -Already in place.

2. you can use module_data and liquid to make CRM entries (don't not need to be connected) If you want to show people in the CRM on a Web site.

3. the only thing missing at this point 2 is the custom of the CRM fields, but it will come soon.

In saying this, I also try to work with BC on a concept of relationship to bring BC modules together and more usable.

I'm not sure if im understanding the way webapps working properly or if you understand my explanation, but would be nice to get help on this!

    Hey there,

You don't need a separate web application. You can just put all this information in the original web application, you have nothing here by the looks of it that requires that.

    BUT

Regarding your question - data source also generates the ID of the web application element. So if you call just a module web app that generates output a specific element, when you arrive you will see the itemid parameter - just put the liquid data source id tag in there, instead of the real id.

The feature "Display list of web app points submitted by a user" is not available in the free trial version? I can see it in the tutorials but its not available when I am connected.

It is just named differently now. You should be able to add the {module_webappscustomer} module through the Toolbox Modules in the web page editor window, as shown below. Please note that the webapps function is available only for sites webCommerce. • Web App point record and present functions is possible?

I created a web application I want the user to be able to record without trigger a workflow, then go back and change the content and save again if necessary, then when all is complete submit so that it launches a workflow and web app submitted can be verified.

This should be used for a course so that assignments can be submitted online.

    Thanks for your help

    Eamon

To do this, is to use a form in line/update - details - form to collect and record data, they can continue to come back and update the form, you need SAR = false on the form action, if you want to stop the answering machine, and you can easily define the workflow against zero on the form itself with in the admin. The thing to note is that you must use system fields or extended CRM fields in the online form that you can not use form fields custom Web in a form of updating details. Also note that the person needs to be registered to do it all.

the next thing is to send them to the form of submission Web App (which should be a mirror of your previous form fields) preloads all fields with their customer data and data CRM extended, configure the fields to read only so they can not make changes, do as "final review" page, then all they need to do is to hit the submit button.

Hope this helps - Billy. P.S. Let me know if you need clarification or expansion on any of the points

  • The submitted user Web App point release Date

Hi guys. I'm kinda a beginner so excuse me if this seems a simple question.

I dragged the forum and cannot find an answer to this.

I created a Web application for the new arrivals and created the user input form in the secure area.

I can't find a way to allow users to set the release date of the news item which, in many cases, not be the date of their entry into the information but at some point in the future.

It doesn't seem to be a way to add the release Date for the user input form,

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Silverfox01,

There are a handful of items that can not be updated from the entrance of the Web App / modify forms. Release date and weighing are two examples.

There have been several requests for that lately, then you are not alone in your quest! - And expectations.

Still no solution has yet been taken available. Please lets you create a support in British Colombia ticket so that they can get an idea of are weight and release date are to front-end web app entry/change of important forms.

    Hope that this 'help '.

  • web behaviour point app 'image locator' seems to have changed

The default behavior of Locator image to select images in a web application item has changed from how he was a few weeks ago and it's pretty boring.

Previously, during the loading of images in an article of application web, BC remember you were in the folder. For example, a site that I am building, if I were you select Picture 1 I would go to 'select file'-> used equipment-> excavators-> aSpecificExcavator-> a picture. Then to select the Image 2, I just had to click on "select file" and the path of the folder of the image-1 default image index. " Something has changed, and now, whenever I want to add a new image to the element of web application I have to go through the whole spot the case appropriate for each new image process of ' select file-> material opportunity-> excavators-> aSpecificExcavator-> a picture. For the loading of the images a bit to an element of web application, it's a real pain-in-the-experience user for customers (I explained that they could use a CSV but file import method which becomes too technical and too tedious, even if it is likely to be more effective).

I can do to change the behavior of web Locator apps select the image file to get it to remember the way previous web app point image?

    Hello Stephen,

Deactivation of the new admin editor should switch back to the old file manager. Could you send me a private message with the site and I am happy to look through?

As for remembering the file selection, we add this into the next release so that when you add images found in the same folder, you don't have to browse the structure of the entire folder again.

  • Submitted clients Web App with profiles of customers with categories

How would everyone on the creation of a Web site where customers could submit web app where the customers have a public profile that shows all of their memories, web app?

My first thought would be to create web applications 2: a customer introduced web app points and the second for customers to create their own profile. The trick would be limiting only the profile web app for communication by the customer and list all their bids to point web app in their profile. For the client the web profile app it's because (as I'm sure most of you know) that the CRM information is not visible publicly.

It seems that the only way to do it is to create a category for every single customer and then assign the category to each individual web app submitted by the client. It seems that there is a lot of work of the Chief Executive and perhaps some confusion.

Is there a way to capture client web app profile ID and possibly use the item form in a hidden field on the present client web app to enable them to classify it themselves? I think the best way would be for them to do, but without being able to classify their submission under another customer accidentally.

Is there a best way anyone has found to do this?

Actually, on second look this Kiyuco.com tutorial only covers that allow members to change their elements of web application in a secure area, not not to view them as part of a public profile.  You should find what you are after in this forum thread I posted - Nicole de BCGurus described a good solution.

  • Submitted by users web app

    Hello world

I need to create a webApp submitted by the user where someone types a testimony in a web form, and then when the form is sent an email is sent to a user admin who then approves the testimony by clicking 'activate' in the webapp element which then displays the testimonial on the Web site. I know you can do this "out of the box" in catalyst for business but is necessary for the form be in a secure area, as I want the form to be on a page that is not secure if possible?

Would be very grateful for any advice.

User must be connected to the web app points.

  • Is it possible to use math.random to generate the name of the item web app?

Math.Random () can be used to auto fill in the name of an element of web application field? I have a client who needs web app point briefs to be random and we do not ask the user to have to create a name for their presentation.

I think that I thought about it. If anyone is interested:

I should add that if you try to do, make sure to place your script AFTER the element, you want to be pre-populated. Otherwise, the script will be executed before the load element and it won't work.

  • Catalyst for help | Building Web Apps part 3: creating a Web application with content submitted by visitors

This question has been posted in response to the following article: http://helpx.Adobe.com/business-catalyst/partner/building-Web-app-visitor-submitted.html

To save other hours in research to do this, if you want to know how to set the Expiration Date of a custom HTML Web App point presentation shape, you can do something like this:

    input type = "radio" style = "" display: none; "checked ="true"value ="2"id ="daysRB""

    input type = "text" value = "60" maxlength = "2" style = "display: inline;" Width: 25px; "id = 'Days' name = 'days '.

You cannot set the date directly, but you can tell how many days from today, you want it to expire...

  • Web app href image broken link

I have a web application that creates a link to a document to download. In the web app is a series of links that I works very well. Here is a bug while lifting upward regarding what makes an image as a link.

On the same web application, this link of the code works fine. Obviously occurs when a predefined image is surrounded by a href and the link is generated:

    "< a href ="{file_value tag_link}"> < img src="/images/arrow-read-more.png "alt ="Read more"/ > < / a >

The href preceding when live will generate a working link: http://sitename.businesscatalyst.com/Documents/test-document.pdf

In the same web application, I also have another image of the thumbnail of the document which generates the web application and then I surrounded who a href link also generated by tags web app effectively 2 web app. In this case, although the image looks good but fails the surrounding href.

    < a href = "{file_value tag_link}" > {tag_image} < /a >

The above code that uses the same href tag in the item even web application generates a link: http://sitename.businesscatalyst.com/current-investment-opportunity/item-2

This bug is all relative to the fact that I have 2 tags next to each other. It is interesting to note that the href tag is a link to a pdf file so I used the technique of creating an image field label in order to make a link to a pdf file.

Yes I could just create a url link and paste that in place that may end up being the final solution, but I want to keep this whole process as simple as possible for the customer updates so if they can just use internal link then the better.

Has anyone come across this and or have a fix for this.

    Hi Matthew,

No what I'm saying is still correct.

You have two types of fields in the custom image, one for the image, a file and then your only using a _value while the default tag will anchor point to the web app view wrapped around him, so why the thing works detailed.

So what I'm saying is 100%. _Value on both would have solved it with the correct image html tag or _nolink.

  • Submit the form of web publishing app point does not work

Hi guys, I have a web form application point that I put on an edit page. I dynamically add the itemID/OID of the web application element that I want edited in the src of the form. When I submit the form, I get a thank you page that thank me to add a new item (it's an editing tool) and when I check the web application part nothing has changed! What is going on? On the flipside, I went to the Web page change app point by clicking on the link generated by BC and when I submit that form, I get the same exact page thank you, but this time, the changes stick. How can I get my form to work? Thank you guys!

    $('#webAppForm').attr ('src','/ CustomContentProcess.aspx?) A = EditSave & amp; CCID = 21437 & amp; OID = "+ itemID +" & amp; OTYPE = 35');

This is the code used to change the src and then I don't

    $('#webAppForm').submit () to submit.

    FEC

There is no attribute "src" on a form.  I think you need to change the 'src' in 'action '. DOH!  Also, I am sure you know this, but make sure that the user is logged when you try to send this form, so don't forget this form is in a secure area.
