  Thanks for posting the details of your system. I'm skeptical about the "CompTool0234 Community Toolbar". Could you disable some add-ons and see if that helps.

  On this tab:

  Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Plugins category

  Disable «Conduit Plugin»

  On this tab:

  Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category

  Disable the CompTool0234 community toolbar.

  Then very probably a link will appear to restart Firefox to make the change. Does make a difference?

• nothing is displayed in my address bar or change when I click on another site and my home page does not open when firefox starts

  Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the Add-ons is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Modules > themes).

  Hi Ciroamos,

  I understand that you're having trouble to open a document Pages 5.6.1 on your MacBook Pro.  Have you recently updated or changed on demand?  Have you tried to open a Pages document on icloud drive, in addition to your computer? One thing I would try is to use Time Machine and go back to an earlier date and see if you can open a document.  If you can't, then you must uninstall the application Pages and re-download from the Mac App Store.

• Download page does not open in lightroom 5.7

  I use lightroom 5.7 on my PC for almost 2 years and all of a sudden it will not download pictures from my camera, or a disk.  All other functions seem to work but when I click the button forward or when I click on the pictures to download from the dropdown below, that nothing is happening.  It does not open the download page.

• Add ons page does not open

  When I try to go to the add ons page to activate java page opens a new tab, but does not add it to the Manager page. Here are the steps I take to let you know that I know what I'm doing:

  Click on the menu button (the 3 horizontal bars at the top right under the close button)
  Click on add ons
  Firefox, then open a new empty tab

  I wish I could turn on java in my browser so that new get add ons or disable those underway.
  I would also like to keep my favorites, so I have not tried to uninstall and reinstall.

  Try to enter Subject: addons in your address bar and opening this link. Does it work?

  Otherwise, it might be an extension causing problems, try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

  If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

  • Click the menu button

    then select restart with disabled modules.

  If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Mode safe mode as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.

  If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration.   To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

• My home page does not open when I click on "new tab".

  OK, I made the topic: config and it changed to google.com appears when I open a new tab. It does not work for me. When I open a new tab, it happens;
  -There is no link at all
  -An icon for Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Amazon, Ebay, Google Maps, Google Mail, Outlook, Linkedin, Tumblr, Instagram and an option to add another.
  -There is a gear top-left icon, when you click on it, it shows an arrow, a sign more, 3 by 2 blocks, paint palette, and a pencil.
  -This isn't the page that displays your most used pages, and is not the subject: Home screen, words: newtab screen or the on: white screen

  Well I fixed it. There was a 'astromenda' or something like that down so I clicked it and there is an uninstall option. Thanks for the help anyway

• target for a .pdf with the target _blank link file does not open in a new window.

  I have a simple html document with links to all the value _blank .pdf documents but only opens in a new window.  Others open as _self.  Change the target does not seem to make a difference.

  No idea why this is happening?

  It is preferable to share a link to the offending page, so that we can see the code, simple errors as a lack of "or = can cause what you describe.

  However since you work with PDF files there may not be anything technically wrong with your code.

  Files PDF is a multimedia file that is managed in a number of different ways depending on the settings of the user's browser and plugin installations. What gives the target = "_blank" on a PDF link can open a new blank page and the PDF opens in Acrobat instead. There is no way to force a PDF file to load in the browser, this is a user setting we as developers have zero access to.

• Links Hypertext does not open .pdf on local computer

  I can't have links to open, it is only on my computer, it works in FF and chrome, but it does not mean ie, that the links are not a professional activity or thet they just do not work on my computer in ie, but will work if I upload them to a server?   I'd be willing to bet it has something to do with your brand on the web. Remove your MOTW comments and see if that changes things locally.

• Google Chrome snuck in. I changed the default IE. A Win 7, Outlook Home and Business 2010. Links Hypertext does not open now. How to fix it. Explanation below.

  Chrome seems to sneak when we don't look for an upgrade.  I can not even find it uninstall except that I have reset my browser than IE.  I have Win 7, Outlook 2010 Home and Business.  I can't open a hyperlink in email.  The answer is,"the operation was canendeled due to restrictions in effect on your computer.  Please contact system administration. "I'm the system administrator.  I used what I found on the web to reset the Regedit and nothing helped.  I need help in what setting should read.  I don't know that I had to change the HKEY CLASSES ROOT to data to read html.  I did, restarted and nada.  What else do I please you?  I was after this problem all day and don't want to mess up this PC.  A person must have been messed up with Google Chrome and should have a fix for this.

  Secondly, how can I get all this Chrome on my computer?  It is not yet listed in so I can remove it entirely.

  This is a known issue. Update both machines to v5.6.1 Pages (providing you have Yosemite 10.10.4 or later). Unfortunately, v5.6.1 Pages can also forget open documents of his own creation.
