  I know that you can add links and bookmarks in a pdf document, which will lead you to other areas of this pdf in particular.  However, I need to put a link or a bookmark in a pdf document that will allow a user to click a link in Captivate, Flash, Dreamweaver, etc. and be taken directly to this section in the pdf file.

  You can create a link on a Web site that will take you to a particular location in a pdf file?  Or will simply open the pdf file and display the first page, and then the user would access this section?

  After the last update, placed Firefox download dialog box and bookmarks in the same dialog, which cannot see both at the same time. I can't find any option to separate the two. It's severely cramping my workflow. Can you tell me how I can see once more my download progress in a single window and my favorites in another?

  You can view the new download manager in a tab by opening the words: download page and you can consider opening this page in a separate window.

  I turned to the forums and I saw that many, many people have the same problem with Vista SP2 Upgrade. Microsoft and several of its Vista customers realized that Vista has a lot of problems, but people who have need of the service. • How long database links stay open at the APEX?

  When a report region runs a query on a remote database via a database link, how long the link remains open in the APEX? Usually the database links get closed the dedicated session ends, but I don't know when this happens at the APEX.

  Hi all

  I seem to be unable to understand the configuration of parameters for protective Apex listener when connecting to a database.

  We have a lot of servers of databases (without data guard) and we use the command line Wizard to generate the configuration file. It's straigthforeward and
  easy. We enter the server, port, and Service_name and it works.

  But for a guard database, there are two servers and I seem to be unable to set it in the right way. After doing some research I came across the parameter apex.db.customURL which should solve the problem.

  I removed the references to the server, port, and Service_name and put the key in.

  The result were errors of connection due to some incorrect port settings.

  Keep the references the server name, port and service. No need to delete.

  You must create two entries in the configuration file "defaults.xml" for your ADR (formerly APEX Listener).

  One for db.connectionType and, secondly, for db.customURL, for example:

• Oracle form functions and procedures in the APEX, how?

  I'm working to recreate in the APEX, already existing read only forms in Oracle Forms. Report features interactive APEX among other things, in fact worth as well as to target a different audience than utilizies versions of Oracle Form. Versions of Oracle Forms use a lot of pre and post query triggers, PLSQL functions.
  
  In Oracle Forms that places, these functions can be found in the "Units of program" section of the form. A feature typical of this kind, based on a particular Mission ID route, collecting names of regular passengers, is shaped with a comma and a space after each of them, in a single string that is returned and displayed the list of passengers of a line.
  
  I have all of this written code so I can move most of the main request of the Oracle form in an interactive report. These functions and triggers called in the form of the "Units of program" section of the Oracle form rather than stored in the database schema in a package, where they would go inside the APEX? Can I create a 'shortcut' in the APEX and call it from the interactive report "Source Région"? I can create the PLSQL function at the level of the region of the interactive report or page level? Or, my best bet creates a package that is stored in the database, all these functions and/or proecedures I might need the original form of Oracle?

Reproduce things is the best way to solve most of the questions, particularly those relating to the layout and Visual formatting. If you expect a detailed response it is appropriate that you take on an important part of the effort by getting as much as possible with an example of the problem on apex.oracle.com before asking for help on specific issues, then we can see firsthand.

  Assuming you are using Apache?

  You can place your Word documents in the same folder as your current Apex images directory (or a subdirectory it) and then reference them with a URL of the form http://yourserver/i/sample_word_file.doc. Alternatively, you can add a new Alias entry to your dads.conf file (located in your Apache/modplsql/conf directory) to expose the folder on your Web server that contains your Word via a URL like http://yourserver/word_docs/ files

  /Word_docs/ alias "c:\my_docs\technical_word_docs/".

• my search bar (22 FF) has suddenly become unusable; hitting enter does nothing (now get only toward sites via links and bookmarks)

  I am a FF user for a long time. Now uses version 22 (which seems to have updated from 18 in itself even if I had it to ask me before the update - but 22 2 has worked well for me once I had solved the problem of screen being so great he hid my menu at the top and tabs). Now, all of a sudden, just in the last week, recording a (valid) url in the search bar and pressing on enter "does not" do anything. No search functionality at all because that hitting enter does not cause FF take any notice of putting me in a URL for a site that I want to go to the (I use the same sites over and over so not only some new site acting upward).

  Not my keyboard or mouse is defective; they work as usual in other programs I constantly use - email, database of inventory - and no update or the other program, in Word, Excel, NotePad, my photo program, what that is. Security Essentials last updated a week ago, but I can't see inside to see if it changed anything. Am a XP Pro user and update (until next year, at least!). Keyboard is a real Elite Force, the change (wired) mouse. Have used for a couple of years is therefore not new to me.

  Only way that I can use 22 FF in the last days to get to "any" site, including mine, is to spend on websites pinned to my screen open or my favorites. I tried unpin some sites on my logon screen and then type in their URL and pressing on enter but which has not changed anything - the search bar is always unusable and hit "enter" doesn't do anything.

  So why my search bar did stop working? Is there a solution?

  You are running Firefox in compatibility mode?

  You can open the properties of the desktop Firefox shortcut via the context menu and check under the tab "compatibility".
  
  Make sure that all items are disabled in the tab "Compatibility" in the Properties window.

  Create a new profile as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

  Hello world! Hope someone can help with my problem. DB, I have a table with information on employees and employment. This one table I did an OS where I did 2 VO - EmployeeVO and JobsVO. I connect these two VO with ViewLink - EmpJobVL (realtionship 1 to 1).
  
  Then I created 2 .jspx pages. In a page I droped EmployeeVO but on the second page I droped JobsVO. I put the button with which I can navigate between these two pages in the page template.
  
  The problem is when I start my employee page and navigate to the correct folder with the 'next' button and then try to navigate to the jobs page and then in the jobs page I can't see correct record. I still see everything first save. Why this is so and what can do?

  Hi Debuger,

  No probs, you can keep your Jspx so u just have to clean your PageDefs... More fight urself its such an easy task...
  Remove all entries def of your page and then have a copy of your jspx coding in a notebook that also remove...
  Drag your def jspx and page a new re-make your your and paste your new jspx encodings
  your your get binded automatically... :)

  Today, I've updated to 23.0 FF and Tab Mix Plus is more fully functional, and I had to turn it off. I'm trying to reproduce its functions to the subject: config.

  I have two questions:

  1. How can I get all the bookmarks to open in a new tab on the far right? Bookmarks are open on top of the current tab and that I can't respect.

  2. How can I get all links to open in a new tab? No new windows, no button right, without overwriting the current tab... just that all links open in a new tab on the far right?

  Without extension you can just Middle-click on a link with the wheel on the mouse to open the link in a new tab.
