List of device/drive I don't remember me

Hello, community.

I guess I should start by setting up the premises of my problem/question: Win7 SP1 and I think that it is worth noting that I have Daemon tools installed, I use sometimes, but usually when I'm done using virtual drives, I make a point of removing these drives.

I have questions, which I think can be attributed to the same root, so I post together here; If this is not the case, I apologize in advance.

  1. I opened the interface devices and printers, and I saw a device that I did not recognize among the list. I'm assuming that the optical drive named DTSOFT Virtual CdRom Device is Daemon tools, but I see another optical drive, named TQZKH ZCP6FCXIB SCSI CdRom Device in the list. What is this device and should I worry?
  2. Device Manager displays a bunch of discs that I've never connected to my computer. Other than the hard disk, partitioned into C: and D:, physical drive, only I have is a DVD rom to E:. The Device Manager seems to detect five portable drives (from f to j). When I click on it, a window tells me to insert a disc, which is obviously not possible. Why is this happening?

Thanks for your support! :)

Hello

Welcome to the Microsoft community forums. Let me help you with your concern.

You are facing this problem because of the demon tool that you have installed on the computer.  They can be listed as a SATA/SCSI or another name associated with the hard disk drivers.

I suggest to uninstall Daemon Tools completely and restart the computer and check read this.

The 'driver' is here.  It is part of the installation of iTunes.  When you connect it, the iPod screen indicates it is connected, by showing 'do not disconnect' or 'Connected' or another indication that there is a data connection with the computer?  If it shows that the battery symbol, there may be another problem that requires no software and 'drivers '.

  • CD/dvd drive is not listed in Device Manager

my laptop is a hp pavillion entertainment pc dv6605us, running windows vista. the cd/dvd drive is not read / write any CD and it is not listed in Device Manager. I tried to fix this problem by using the microsoft fixit tool, but I'm still having the same problem. I checked the system registry and found no upperfilters and lowerfilters.
Please, how can I solve this problem?

    Hello

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as it is often the total process
    which solves the problem.

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

    Hello

These issues are always a bit tricky, but impossible.
First of all respond to a short and not so good:

The best way (in my opinion) to find the missing aircraft is to watch what you have configured in the Device Manager and figure out what should be absent.
My best guess is that it is the Modem or IR. Those are often called just PCI Device because Windows can not really know what deviceclass to which they belong.

    Now to the qualityinformation:
Sometimes, it is imperative to set up your machine correctly. This means not only to install the drivers, but it also means to install them in a certain order. If you don't you might well end up with a machine that could behave very strange in particular situations.
So to save you from this headache in the future, take your tools & utilituies CD (if your model didn't come with that one, use your media recovery, recover your machine and burn the CD tools & utility via a special folder). Insert the CD into the machine and watch the list of drivers and utilities. Follow the order in which to install them and install them all. Then, you will not have the problem with the PCI-strange device and you will have a stable platform to work from.

    Good luck!

    Tom

  • W520 - Base system device driver does not

    Greetings.

This morning at the start of my ThinkPad W520, the player no longer works. A glance in the (Windows 7, 64-bit) Device Manager shows the 'Base system device' and points out that "the drivers for this device are not installed." Trying to get Windows Installer natively drivers does not work. Some googling shows others with similar problems in the past; recommendations include installing a card reader driver Ricoh for Windows XP or Vista; It did not work. Other drivers available include 8ass82ww.exe and 8axv51ww.exe - these don't work. Installation of the own Support Center Lenovo software shows that the Base system device driver is not installed. I can't find a way to install it. I tried installing driver exe files and searching the same files using the browse-for-the window Windows files during the installation of the drivers for the Base system device.

Seriously, * beep *? I lost more than two hours on Sunday morning trying to solve this problem. It worked yesterday. I did install new software crazy, or any software besides. Why this happens and more importantly, how can I FIX it?

This morning, ran Windows automatic update; I don't know if the updates were designed to the card reader, but the driver is now installed and the operation of the device. Too many updates to list them all, but thank you all for your help. Between the time I opened this thread and now probably I rebooted my machine 30 times and tried all combinations of drivers + restart. Then, poof, this morning, it is fixed.

Evasive classic.  It's always the problem of the other guy.

And the classic response of some evil-educated person "technical support":

Microsoft help put me on this site

If the error message says 'Mobile Apple Device not found Driver' then it's an Apple problem, pure and simple.  The device driver mobile for the iPhone comes from Apple, not Microsoft.

Do you remember what you were doing when you "deleted all the drivers mobile when I uninstalled my Blackberry and removed the current mobile device drivers?"

Probably not... and you have not explained what has been included in "Apple went through everything."  It is time to start over by removing everything related to Apple and then put it back correctly.

First, however, the fact that the iPhone does not load even when connected to a USB port is a bit worrying.  Works in everything else in this USB port (for example, a USB flash drive)?

Have you tried all the USB ports on your computer?  Take a look in the Device Manager (start > run > devmgmt.msc > OK) and see if there are any icons showing warning.  If so, double-click on the entry and information "device status".

Take a look at the event viewer (start > run > eventvwr > OK).  There is no need to go far.  Connect your iPhone, then look at the newspapers (System and Application) for since a few minutes see if there are any errors or warnings.  If so, double-click on it to get the event properties window, and then click the "Copy" icon (just below of the)

Have you tried to recharge the iPhone using the adapter connected to Apple's USB cable?  Does it work?

Have you tried to connect the iPhone to another computer?  With what results?

Assuming that the hardware (iPhone, USB cable, and USB ports on your computer) is not working properly, see the following topics.

To perform a "clean" iTunes installation uses this technique proposed, from Support of Apple HT1926 article.

Warning: uninstall utility for cleaning Windows mentioned in the instructions below has been removed from Microsoft download servers because sometimes it seems more removed he was supposed to (I think that this phenomenon was linked to the bureau uninstalls).  You can still get utility Windows Installer Cleanup--> http://majorgeeks.com/Windows_Installer_CleanUp_Utility_d4459.html here is a free alternative Revo Uninstaller. Before using these cleaning products, you must create a restore point from the system first (or back up the registry with C:\WINDOWS\ERUNT).  See http://windowsxp.mvps.org/registry.htm a complete disk image would be safer if you have this ability.
