  Background:

  I created a questionnaire in which the user must answer each question correctly before to proceed to the next slide. That's what I did:

  
  

  • Set preferences Settings > required > respond to everything - the user must answer each question to continue
  • Set the number of attempts at the level of the question to infinity
  • Made the Next invisible button and disabled the PlayBar

  In this way, the user can proceed to the next slide in the issue with the submission process - and, since attempts are endless, this means that after having answered the question correctly.

  Current objective:

  I want the user to be able to click on a prompt for a hint. To configure this, I did the following:

  • Created a smartshape titled 'click_for_hint' to display the text that says: "click here for a tip.
  • Created a smartshape labelled 'hint' text display
  • Show "hint" success value "click_for_hint".

  Now, when the user clicks on the text that says: "Click here for a hint," the suspicion appears. So it works - great! However, once the indicator is activated, I would like to for the user to continue endless attempts until respondent correctly to the question... and then only after answering correctly, proceed to the next slide.

  The problem:

  If the user has submitted one or more wrong answers, and then activates the indicator, the slide just waiting until the user has answered the question correctly. Instead, it will be set in playing, proceeding to the next slide. I tried the smartshape 'hint' to take a break on the success of adjustment, but it does not work.

  Is there a way to make the slide to wait until the answer to the question correctly before moving on to the next slide, even after the indicator has been activated?

  Are you aware that your required parameter can cause problems, the blocking of the user? It is also completely useless because you have unlimited attempts at the level of the issue and hid the next button (hope, you don't need review, otherwise, I would recommend not to hide this button but slide it under the Clear key: the Question slides in Captivate - Captivate blog)

• Can we listen to the audio via Bluetooth speaker and Speaker Pro iPad at the same time?

  IVe tried to find answer to this. Hope someone can help. I would like to get more power audio audio stream in my Bluetooth speakers without losing my Pro iPad speaker.

  I created a slide showing a person who uses a scanner. An audio issue is running "when you scan the carton than another must check if the storekeeper to?  a multiple response facility.

  If the respondent jumps the gun and sent a response and click on "anywhere" to continue, the next slide audio begins and the two routes run concurrently. Is there a way to either cut the audio before moving on to the next slide, or prevent the next slide in trigger until the end of the audio sequence and the chosen response. I'm new here, so there might be some basic rules very that I am not following.

  I never use audio on question slides.  I find the text-based questions work better because people can read faster that they can listen to.  So you avoid the problems that you are experiencing now.

  If you must have audio for the issue, offer it as an optional thing that the user can get by the passage of the mouse on another object of reversal.  In this way, they will have to keep their mouse on this object to listening to all of the audio issue.  As soon as they move their mouse being to answer the question the audio will stop, then when the legend of feedback appears, they will hear the sound signal.  This makes very little probable that you would have two audio tracks playing at the same time.

  When you play any audio on my computer file, or listening to any audio on my computer, either by e-mail or by using Windows Media Player or itunes, there is sometimes a slight distortion that occurs, is not there when I listen to the audio file using a different medium than my computer.

  Everything works well, if javascript is enabled.
  If I turn off javascript, player disappears. If the audio tag "autoplay" attribute is set, you can listen to the audio, but it is not all controls and not just any player on the screen - it's just empty.

  The same problem occurs with the html5 video tag.

• Have problems with the Audio after upgrade to Windows 10

  I got a free upgrade for Windows 10 option on my laptop Acer Aspire SW5-011. Everything seemed to work fine, except that I don't bother checking the audio before deleting the files Windows 8...   Good so I had to update my post because I had to give the good news! However, that is how I am and I almost try everything and tinkering with different things. My audio works now. I went back the download Acer drivers and manual for my camera and I checked under 32-bit Windows 8, which was windows available. I installed my ID which has been deleted before when I had restarted or any number of things, I tried, and then I went in Drivers and installed the Master Installer. I made sure that I extracted all the files before proceeding with the installation. After it restarted my laptop I heard the Windows startup sound and I knew that it worked because I had no sound at all before. Not sure why it worked, but it did!   I like listening to audio (news, music, games), but I don't want to hear the sound of click of mouse, speakers.  I usually play games or use other software while listening.  Will the standard audio mutes everything.  Is there a way to interrupt the sound mouse only?  Thank you

• Last slide audio plays in the slide before him!

  I am using Captivate 5. I have a quiz in my project, and the quiz results page is the 2nd to the last slide. After this slide is a certificate. Users get only to this slide from the slide of test results once they have passed the test. If they had failed the quiz, the quiz results slide shows the Retake Quiz button and it brings the user to the first question of the quiz.

  The problem I have is with audio. The last two slides both have audio.   Try to second donner.1 of the additional slide after the audio in the timeline duration, see if that helps. Otherwise you can give it as an object of a legend of transparent text on the slide audio. Let me know if any of them would help?

• 3 of the 6 slides quiz show "you have not answered this question completely" in the first entry of slide

  I'm working on a project in Captivate 5. I have distributed 6 slides of question about the whole project. Q1 - 3 are working very well, at the entrance to the Q4 - 6 slide, the learner receives the message "you have not answered this question completely" even if it's the first time, they enter the page. They get stuck, just have a 'return' to them button returns to the previous page, in the output of the previous page, they receive the same message again. No retry option. The only way forward is to use the button next to the playback bar.

  The parameters of my 6 questions are the same (classified, 3 attempts, continue on the success and the last attempt).

  I figured it was because I had duplicated the question slides in order not to have to do all the formatting again (would be curious to know: I can do it without problem?) - but it seems that this was not the reason. I created 2 of 3 does not q from scratch and still have the same question.

  Then, I thought it's because by clicking on an icon on the previous page, they can move to page Q without listening to the entire slide - that solved the problem in preview, but after publication it came again.

  I'm totally lost here - would appreciate help from experts!

  This "you have not answered this question" message normally appears only once the user has tried the test at least once and review Quiz button has been clicked on the Quiz results page.

  However, it may also appear if Captivate think user jumped out of the reach of quiz, then jumped into the new.  At that time, Captivate blocks all questions and show this message for any question unanswered.

  So there must be something on your project, you have not told us until now.  Where's the Quiz results for this project page?  AFTER all the questions quiz is 6 located?  Is your project using maybe ramification that could Captivate think that you skipped range outdoor quiz?

• Why not the customer answer my questions

  I sent support of services and the client twice today.  The first time last Thursday, but no response despite their promise of a response within hours.

  My organization will not open port 80, so I need to know where Captivate 4 reviews before loading when on the network.  If Captivate 4 is not on a network by default to download from the internet at the beginning upward.  However if you are on a network there a good 5 min delay why Captivate 4 trying to access a site through port 80.  I asked a technical support and service to the customer but no response.  When I know where Captivate tries to go to that my business will allow me to filter on port 80.

  I am at a total loss to explain why the customer is not answering your question.

  Have you tried to ask your IT people perhaps judicial investigations? I think that if Captivate attempts to communicate on port 80 that is sort of "calling home" to an Adobe web address any.

• iPhone 7 lightning to the questions of the audio input jack

  I often connect my phone to listen to music on stereo systems for listening to music out loud. When I used to do with my 6s, I had no problem with the sound output. Since switching to the iPhone 7 that I need to use the adapter to play music, but when I do this the sound is very distorted and sometimes if you put the volume a bit higher up the music stops. Even with a lower volume, it is still quite distorted. When I use a headset with the adapter and plug the phone into my car is fine no problem and sounds. It is only when I play music on the radio.

  I talked to Apple support and they were not really able to diagnose the problem or give me a solution.

  I was wondering if anyone else has problems with the lightning to the audio jack connector or something similar? and everyone is aware of any other superior quality adapters, you can buy or if there is a fix by apple to do deal with this?

  I don't have the problems you describe at all.

  To the extent where a 'solution' by Apple, not sure there is any 'broken' to fix.  Anyway, we are users here on this forum, we would have no idea what Apple would do.  Speculation is prohibited by the terms of use of this forum.

  Recently, I posted a question that caused of Zenos to answer. I tried to answer this question and have no idea if I used the system correctly - it seems that if I replied to myself! I can't work on how to manage screens etc. Does anyone have a simple guide to how it all works, how answer/reply, which means different boxes of... It seems not particularly intuitive. Or maybe it's me?
