  I installed Windows Live essential 2011. I frequently use Sky Drive. And I guess that got Sky Drive icon with windows 2011 essential because it allows

• Windows live essential 2011 very slow at startup

  downloaded and installed ie9 and a life point windows essetials 2011 has started to take a lot of time to load up. Did a virus scan, disk defragmented, went ahead with clean uninstall ie9 and wle, include the registry clean. I went back to ie8 and installed wle 2011 again with the same result: slow the beginning upward. Also re-installed ie9 and even issue here now, takes forever to load up. I'm about to empty both (have outlook 2007 and firefox 4 is installed and works very well).

• Windows Live essential 11 (KB2434419) stopped after 50%

  Had a Windows Update to check and after that 50% has been downloaded it stopped. Went away from the PC for 1 hour and always stopped. Windows Live Essential 2011 KB2434419. Another essential live windows downloaded ok but not this number KB2434419.

• Windows update - Live Essentials 2011

  I am running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Today, I received a notification that 1 one update is available for Windows Live essential 2011. I had already installed previous version for about a year... Direct Mail, Photo Gallery, Live Writer.  I advanced and installed the update and before you install it, it asked if I wanted to install all of the programs, or just the updates for the programs that I had already installed... I chose the latter.  After installation, I checked in my Start menu and realized that I had a critical Live program to choose from, Live Writer.  So, apparently, that the update did NOT only update that I had installed, he deleted some. Now, when I'm in Internet explorer 8 and click on the mail button, it tries to start Office Outlook.

  I tried the system restore, selecting that point update, but restoring is not... so I tried a second (earlier today) restore, which have no point.  Thank God I checked my AppData folder and can see Live e-mail and e-mail records intact.  Is it possible to cancel the update of windows (since the restoration doesn't seem to work) or do I need to download the following essential full windows live and install it over the update failed, re - set from the beginning?

  EDIT: Please ignore this post... I think the update only deleted the item from Start Menu, since I was able to successfully launches Live Mail via a different/shortcut icon that I had... and it was the version update of mail.   Moderators can delete this thread. :)

  Installed Live Essentials 2011 on laptop.

  After several reboots, clicking on the video link @ MSN.com (in IE)

  Very surprised by pop up by inviting me to "...". install Silverlight' (yet?)

  Anyone idea how these re - install invitations should I expect?

  Windows live essential 2011 is not compatible with windows XP. May be that's causing this issue, then I would say you completely uninstall Windows live essential 2011 and then restart the computer and install Windows Live Essentials 2009.
