Live Mail missing the icon of the printer - how to make the toolbar

My new laptop comes with WIndows & and Live Mail.

I noticed tha your Live Mail Toolbar now is the printer icon in the toolbar - how I can get there?

Hey, old man.

What version of Windows Live Mail?  The most recent version, WLM 2011 (aka build 15, aka Wave 4) uses the interface Ribbon user, ala Office 2007 and Office 2010.  The Ribbon takes a few days to adjust.  But, once you find and familiarize yourself with the bar to access FAST (Quick Access Toolbar), it is MUCH better!

If you use WLM 2011, then click the icon in the upper left corner.  (He seems to have no name, but if you place your mouse over it, the label "Windows Live Mail" is displayed.)  Print is one of the options in this menu; Simply click on it as usual.

To save time in the future, click on print, then choose Add to quick access toolbar. Then you should see a printer icon small appear on the QAT, a thin horizontal bar above (or below) the Ribbon. Next time, simply click on this icon instead of the longer road.  (Note that the QATs are different for each mode: Mail, news and composed).

Almost any command in WLM can be added to the QUICK access bar.  Add icons in the order select you them and cannot be changed except by removing and adding, then you'll probably want to re - organize them after using them for a few days.  After you have your most used icons here, you can reduce the Ribbon to increase office property.  KHAT can do WLM 2011 MUCH easier to use!

  • I have problems to connect to Windows Live Mail on the Hotmail account.

Connection window Live Mail Hotmail problems

I have problems to connect to Windows Live Mail on the Hotmail account.  I was wondering if anyone knows if this requires a paid subscription to Hotmail.  Microsoft does not explain this.
To configure the POP3/SMTP to Hotmail/MSN/Live.com access accounts in Windows Mail, use these settings:
Make sure that all of your settings agree thereby. If you get an error message, do a right click on your error message, copy, then paste it into an answer here. We cannot do a lot of troubleshooting without the full error message.

To give you a little history, Windows Mail does not support the HTTP messaging, which for a long time was the only authorized method of access for free Hotmail accounts. In addition, given that the development of Windows Mail was frozen in July 2006, there no knowledge that Microsoft has enabled POP access for free Hotmail/Live/MSN accounts in February 2009. Therefore, the Windows Mail Account Setup Wizard is hardcoded to reject the Hotmail and MSN addresses. To work around this limitation, when you enter your Hotmail/MSN email address, initially, use a fake domain, such as * address email is removed from the privacy *. After the account setup is complete, you can go back into the settings and correct your email address.

This is the mail of the window, it has been upgraded to manage Hotmail.  The error code indicates "connect to the mobile information server end." I came across this problem with Outlook Express similar years when Microsoft decided that Outlook cannot access Hotmail accounts on subscription.  Email client has no connection to Google problem.  Thank you

  • cannot access windows live mail and the printer connection isn't there anymore after installing windows updates

    Original title:

I messed up my computer.  Help!

I have windows 7 Home premium 64-bit.  I have little knowledge of computer.  I noticed that my computer does not seem to be updated.  With a few edits, I could get updated to work & there were 61 necessary updates.  I made them last night and this morning it changed everything on my computer.  I can't access windows live mail.  My printer is gone.  It seems that I really this damn & don't know how to fix this mess.  I can restore back or?  I don't really know what to do.  All responses should do step by step to a fool.

    Thank you

    Hello

    Step 1:

You try to perform a System Restore .

System Restore can return programs and system files from your PC to a time where everything worked, potentially prevent hours of troubleshooting of headaches. This will not affect your documents, images or other data.

    Step 2:

Now, install the updates in a clean boot State.

Clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow step 3 from the link to start the computer to a Normal startup mode.

Please post with the State of the question.

  • can there be two accounts separate Live Mail on the same computer?

My wife wants to put his email on my desk. The screen is bigger than his laptop. The only way I see to do this is to add stuff to my Live Mail Setup, but there is no privacy in this way. Can there be a parallel configuration where she clicks on a desktop icon for his stuff and I click on another icon of the Bureau for mine and do not mix the two?

This is exactly the scenario that Windows user accounts were invented for. You have all of your user accounts on the computer, password if you really want to keep things private. If you start and configure Windows Live Mail on your wife, its accounts and messages will remain quite distinct from yours. It will be of its documents and images, for example.

It is not just an icon on your desktop (which is also part of your user account). The easy way to fix this is to use the command key Windows + L, which "blocks" the computer and displays a screen where you can select the user account.

  • Windows Live Mail in the background

I can't start Windows Live Mail unless I go in the Manager of tasks and under process complete the task of Windows Live Mail.  Then I can start again.  However, I do almost every time I want to start my email.  This problem can be corrected?  I used to be able to just click on my e-mail icon, and email would begin.  I don't know what happened now I have to go into Manager tasks.  Thank you.

  • Windows live mail in the process of disappearance

I recently downloaded the 2012 version of Windows Live.   When I opened my Windows Live email he says I get emails, but then they appear and quickly disappear altogether.

You are in a forum XP and WLMail 2009 is the last version compatible with XP. WLMail 2012 will not work.

If you do not use XP, but rather a BONE later, please ask in the forum WLMail.

  • during the transition from Outlook Express to Windows Live Mail, is the address book data stored and also the info in files

I'm afraid that if I upgrade the form Outlook Express to Windows Live Mail, I will lose all e-mail addresses in my address book current as well as the information contained in the files - models etc.

If you install WLMail on your XP machine, it has to import messages and addresses automatically and nothing will be lost of OE.

If you like WLMail better than OE, you are a person better than I am.

PS It has nothing to do with Hotmail. I don't know where Christophe that came out of your post.

  • Freezing problems with Live Mail since the last update

I used Windows Live Mail because it is out of beta and has never had as many problems with the program that I do now since the last update which gave him a new look.  (I would include the version, but I still find it).

The new Live Mail program constantly freezing, especially when moving e-mail messages to another folder, deleting groups of emails at once and its audit of new emails while I do something else that just read an email.

I also have difficulty emptying the deleted email folder.  I click the x to clear the folder only to return later and find that emails are still there.

Once again, I enjoyed the convenience of Live Mail, now I find that I use it less.

  • Suddenly can't send/receive email through Windows Live Mail (see the below error code). I tried to use gotoassist.me for the online help, but could not connect as if something is blocking that, too.

Your server suddenly put an end to the connection. The possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

    Windows 7

    Microsoft Security Essentials

We had a problem where some - not all - of our messages are not received. When these messages are sent, they do not throw a notification saying that they cannot be delivered and they appear in the "sent" folder as usual.

We are a company that sends quotes to potential customers, so we really need it is resolved as soon as POSSIBLE. We will send about 10 quotes per week and at least once a fortnight we will have someone complain that they have not received their e-mail while the others will be fine.

The emails that we send have attachments so sometimes fall into undesirable people, but sometimes they are not either and we must resort to getting a second e-mail address to the sent message.

If anyone can help me with this very frustrating problem, I would be very grateful.

    Thank you

Thanks for your replies, but I have now solved the problem by changing the port from 25 to 465 number.
