  I'm having problems with windows live messenger on my laptop Tecra. I tried to get help from the microsoft site but since windows XP Professional is installed when I got this laptop they will not help.

  I downloaded the windows live messenger and install it on my computer. When I finished a talk with someone on the internet, the problem hangs and I have to press Ctrl, Alt and del to exit the program.

  Can anyone help?

  I read that Microsoft have released their latest Windows Live Messenger beta updated to testers. I think the latest version is 8.0.0812.
  Maybe this problem occurs because of a bug in the software.

  I recommend you a few specific sites of Windows Live Messenger or support websites. In my opinion, you should find many sites.
  I also recommend to check all older versions

  It is possible that you have corrupted cache files; You can try to delete the cache folder and check if that helps. You can also temporarily disable your firewall and check if all of the parameters of the firewall is a cause. Better support for the effort, I'd say uninstall you the current Windows live Messenger and install the latest version (http://download.live.com/messenger)

  I had to modify my Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 3 registry to prevent the total number of unread count email to display next to the photo of my administrator account Windows XP on the Windows XP Welcome screen.

  My current version of Windows Live Messenger not save my ID Windows Live ID and my password automatically whenever I have to disconnect my Windows XP Home Edition of the administrator account.  I have to re-enter my information in Windows Live ID and password text boxes, but also by clicking the Remember Me and not sure my checkboxes password on Windows Live Messenger Sign In screen, each time before you manually start Windows Live Messenger.

  The reason for this error is usually because the app is for windows 7 or vista.

  As far as I can see the new windows messenger 2011 is setup for windows 7 and windows vista only.

  For me, it looks like a windows system problem.
  Usually two webcams operate independently from each other and so I don t think that it is a webcam driver problem I think that it s windows or windows live messenger problem
  Maybe something confused keys registry or files may be some updates to update or similar

  In your case, I recommend you to uninstall the software of webcam software, internal external webcam and the windows live messenger.
  Then, you must clean the BONES and the registry tool like CCLeaner cleaning, for example. It the free tool.

  After this, reinstall the Chicony webcam software and test functionality without installation of windows live messenger.
  If the webcam will be functions then you could install the windows live messenger again.
