Live paint bucket in CS5

The help of Illustrator on a Windows machine running XP sp3 with an Intuos 2

I use Illustrator CS2 for awhile and have upgraded to CS5.  I need help with a problem I am experiencing with the live paint bucket.    I select the illustration, go to object > live paint > make and get the blue bouning box.  I choose my background and outline colors and go to work.  It seems to work until I get a close-up view, around 800%, and then I noticed that the race is not filled in some of the traits completely (there seems to be some gaps in the path that do not arise in a normal display mode).  Outline of its artifacts leaving (I don't know what else to call them).  I have attached two examples of these artifacts.  I also tried to fix this with the selection tool paint Live which I am also having a problem with.  I took out the paint group dynamic and verified that all the paths of my connection and have corrected the problems that I can see.

This did not help either.   Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong.  I consulted the help, and either I can't read with understanding English or... I can't find the right words to bring up the problem.

Live Paint artifacts.jpgThank you in advance for any help you can give me.

  • The missing in Illustrator CS5 live paint bucket tool

The Live Paint Bucket tool does not appear in the Toolbox of Illustrator CS5. I looked at other threads which suggest to delete the file "Adobe Illustrator CS5 préférences". I did and it has no effect. There is no empty space in the palette where the button should be, she is just completely missing, as it was never installed (either its hidden somewhere I'm fairly new to Illustrator). However, I can create a "live paint group' using 'paint-make objects-live' in the drop-down menu in the menu at the top of the screen. It's just the button that is missing, so I can not color of the object. I don't know if it the button was always there that I only installed the software a couple of weeks. I needed just now. I have not yet tried re-installing of Illustrator. It's really a last resort. I use Windows Vista if that helps.

    Any help is very appreciated.

I'm new to illustrator, and I hope someone can help me with the living tool. I use CS5 on a mac. I watched several tutorials that show the live paint bucket directly under the eyedropper tool in the toolbar to one side, but I show a 'symbol spray tool' it instead. • Question live paint bucket tool

    Hello illustrators.

Its been a while that I used this tool. But I am facing a problem, I do not understand.

I see some tutorials and I try to follow along I can't have the same functions of the tool, as demonstrated.

My live paint bucket tool doesn't have the same options as the guardian. He can drag his arrows and get colors from the color palette, while I only have one available color.

I have always to go to my color palette and choose a color in order for my forms to be filled. But when he suddenly comes to my shape coloring so no problem, I can slide and get my color

selection. I'd like to use for my fill also color well to drag my arrows and see the available colors if it has meaning.

The top image is what I'd like to achieve.

The bottom image is what I have in my document of Council art. saw that one color is available, and I have to click on my palette of color for color. No sliding with the help of arrow keys is available.

    Thank you.

Click on a swatch. The three places is related to the use of the color chart. Once you just mix a color in the color Panel, it will break.

  • I can't select a single path after using the live paint bucket; Help please?

Before using the live paint bucket, I was able to select the individual paths both to edit. Now when I click on one road, he selects each unique to the image path. Is there a way out of this?

That's what I'm going to talk: (I only wanted to select the star, but the entire image has been selected).

You should always be able to select the individual paths with the direct selection or group selection tools. or open the layers palette and hunt for him. or double click with the black pointer to break into the group.

  • Big problem, changing the strokes live paint bucket

Hi all, if in the first picture you can see the line once in work. When I fill out the face with a vibrant paint color, it changes the features and made them appear jagged varied widths, this is particularly obvious on the eyes, ears and hair - looks like it's the Pathfinder application > divide. I have the race null when I apply fill, please help!

    Picture .pngPicture 1.png

    How about this?

1 duplicate the lineart and place it below the layer and lock the original

2 convert the lineart in a contour line by going to effect > contour line, then object > decaying appearance

3 open the Pathfinder palette, and then select all and unit/Add it.

    4. all change no line and no fill

    5. Select all and then convert it in live paint

6 deselect the converted path and start using the live paint bucket.

    7. after that expand and separate so you can pass the path to fill. you will also notice that it will remove all the path you have been converted.

    answer if it works.

  • AI5 live paint bucket tool

I'm quite a beginner to Adobe Illustrator. I use the demo version of AI5.

I scanned and created a work plan with my drawing.

I have switched to dynamic painting mode, but could not find the tool live paint bucket.

According to their instructions, it is assumed to be with the eyedropper tool.

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong or where the tool could be?

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Bob

Scott misunderstood the query, the live paint bucket is under the form generator tool and above the tool rack perspective in the toolbar and the free transform tool below.

  • Help from live painting in CS5!

I downloaded a sketch and put it in the vectorization. Everythings fine until I get to the part live paint. I click on the paint bucket and I try to fill the inner parts of the vector. It does not get through. He tells me to choose a symbol or a symbol instance. I'm really confused to what it is. I would like to have the black outline, I just need to figure out how to color in the drawing. I know that this is not well explained, but I hope someone can help.

No, Monika is correct, that you have used the tool symbol Stainer instead of the live paint bucket, fairly easy mistake to make.

Below the red arrow is the symbol of Stainer, who tried to use it as well. Same error message.

The blue arrow points to the live paint bucket opinion they are similar is?

They are both hidden under the spray of symbols (red arrow) another under the tool shape (blue arrow).

So you should thank Monika to be as alert and do a good job.

  • How to convert coloring page book to the live paint group?

A coloring book images and clip art. How do I color?

Here are the steps that you can use.

Step 1: Create a new Illustrator document and insert the scan / photo of the image.

    • File > new
    • File > Place, navigate to the image, select it, click on the spot
    • Click and drag on the page to insert the image.

Step 2: Turn the image pixel based vector art Illustrator

    • With the selection tool, click on the Image to select it.
    • Show the track of the Image Panel (window > track of Image).
    • In the Preconfiguration menu choose a response that closest resembles the requirement of trace of your image, select Preview, and click Trace.
    • Check the results and adjust the settings as needed.
    • Once you are satisfied with the result, in Control Panel, click on develop. Note that when you expand the Trace of the Image is more, you will be able to adjust the parameters of monitoring, and you create vector art Illustrator.

Step 3: Modify the work of a live paint group and start coloring.

    • Select the vector art and choose object > live paint > make.
    • You can now use the live paint bucket and the live paint selection tool to color your artwork.

  • In stairway white borders on the live paint groups expanded

    Hello

I'm having a problem with the live paint groups that I can't understand, or find a workaround for.

I create all my lineart for the illustrations in Adobe Illustrator. I use the tool pen in combination with the line tool width to create the thickness of line. Once I finished all the work of the line, I select all and Expand. This translates not have refills for the areas of illustration that need to be colored.

From there, what I do is select all > livepaint > make. I then fill in each area in a base color, using the Live Paint Bucket tool. Once finished, I have to select new all > expand. This leaves me fillings that I can choose indivually to apply gradients and work directly with.

This process works fine until I have develop the live paint group. After developing, there is a thin white border around that meet two distinct colors. This occurs only after having developed, this does not happen when it is still a live paint group. I tried all the options in the window to develop and achieve the same result. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

I exported the work done in several formats (eps, .jpg, .png) and the lines are still there.

I've included a picture to show the problem. (the Red arrows point to the issue of borders)

    example.png

If someone could help out with this it would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!!

Most likely, it will not be printed.

It's a problem of how 100 K is rendered in CMYK mode with anti-aliasing

Turn anti-aliasing off the coast in the preferences. If the line is still there: you have a problem.

It is not there in mode live-painting living objects are treated as a whole.

  • Object drawn with a pencil will not fill with the paint bucket tool

I draw an object using the pencil tool in Flash CS5. Since I use several traces I connect them all by clicking on Edit, combine objects then Union combining the traits in a single object. But when I try to fill it with the color that it doesn't work. Even if I make sure there is no gap. A few small areas that are closed in the fill of the object with the color, but do not know why the rest of the object refuses to be filled with color.

    Open 2.jpg

I fiddled around and switch between the object drawing Mode and drawing Mode, but that doesn't work anymore. Usually when I use the Brush tool I have no problem filling the object with colors. But for some reason, I can't when I use the pencil tool! Help, please!

OK, think about it. If you select your character and in the properties to ask him to be 3000 wide, then zoom in to just behind his ears, you'll see a gap. There is another gap directly in front of the ears.

The thing filling gaps that Chris mentioned does not immediately work, because your lines are still in odd drawing object, the union did you yet left the tiny holes. You can exit this mode by a Break Apart and select all. Areas with gaps fill again right away, but the small fill openings feature will work. The option size of gap is in the tools downwards when the paint bucket is selected.

I'm going to insert an image, which shows the great super version, where you can see two gaps, and you can see how the right box is filled, even if there is a gap.

  • Paint Bucket tool paintings full Page

In Photoshop CC 2015, when I draw something Freehand, say a circle, so do not using the shape tool, & I then want to colour it with the paint bucket tool it covers just the whole page in color, including the circle. I have no idea why it does this when I click on the inside of the circle. It's a totally closed circle, so not to allow color to escape gaps and cover page. I tried different approaches and have installed the latest updates of PS CC 2015. I don't know that I used this tool in the past with no problems. I also PS Elements installed on my computer and the photo bucket tool works very well with it, so I don't think it can be a user error. Does anyone know why it does not for me in PS CC 2015? Thank you very much.

    Hi hotpotato,

Please try and reset the Photoshop preferences.

    Steps to follow:

To re-create the Photoshop preferences files, start the application while pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Windows) or command + Option + shift (Mac OS). Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop settings file?"

Reference: preference file works, names, places | Photoshop CS5

  • Behavior unusual paint bucket tool

    Hi all

I described this Magikarp on another layer with the pen tool and then tried to use the paint bucket tool to fill. As you can see in the image below (enlarged 300%) the Red is not capture the inside edge and subequently makes the horrible image. Red is also very pixelated and pixelated - you can see around the mouth on the left side that the color comes in reality until a point in staircase instead of the vector that you expect.

I tried to reset the tools but I'm having no luck. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance.

    EDIT: I use Photoshop CS5

    magi.jpg

I couldn't use the pot of paint, but anyway:

    1. avoid aliasing by activating the option of anti-aliasing of PBT.

    2. the race on transparent layer has a smooth edge where the sweetness is obtained through transparency, while the color remains constant - black in your case. When the PBT determines a border, it considers that the color of the pixels and does not take into account transparency so in your case, is to see a thick black line that we perceive. Put on a white background layer before using the PBT and settle the PBT to sample"all layers" so that the tool can determine a limit of a mixture of different grey opaque black and white.

Rather than use the PBT, you could create the fish as a layer to form red and he give a layer Style black or, if you want to absolutely pixelated layers, do an embankment of the track on a transparent layer, then a stroke to the path on a transparent top layer.
