Live view in 2014 CC DW is ridiculously slow

Thanks for reading - after having upgraded to CC 2014.1.1 that I find Live View Mode of functioning is ridiculously slow.

I use an i7 8 GB computer laptop.

The file is a .asp with about 6 000 lines and a lot of inline javascript.

Clicking on between the code and the hand some things in live view for several seconds. By selecting a menu option there is a terrible delay before any intervention.

Did anyone else encounter this problem or is there knowledge affecting change, etc. that could fix this problem?

Thank you

Your document is large enough and must be treated by Dreamweaver to each record. It may be an idea to outsource all the CSS and JS. I use Prepros to compile my LESS and JS files. I also use the live PrePros preview which is instant.

  • Live view in 2014 DW mode

Is there something specific to set up to use Live View vs 2014 for a PHP/dynamic site? I know that it works on a Local Server, but how do I use it on a published Web site. I don't want to copy files at the back of my remote site to local site when all I have to do is make a few isolated changes.

Live View mode only works with local files.  You cannot change the remote with DW unless files that GET you from the first server.

  • Harassed by "save changes" dialog box in PHP file Live View on DW CC 2014?

    Hello

I am being constantly harassed by the dialog "save changes to < document name >' when I'm working in Live view on DW CC 2014. Every time I have changes to the code, especially if I use the properties toolbar, I was immediately prompted to save the changes. I realize the rendering system account must have a recorded document to view from, but this happens after every single little change. If I look at watching the live view and decide to make some changes to the code I can get invited several times while I make these changes and it is not until the changes are finished I want to check live view again (when I save the document), but I have to keep stopping to reject dialogue! This means that I must keep turn off live view to make relatively small changes, and then turn it back on.

I've always been able to work OK in this way on all previous versions using the 'Preview using temporary file' parameter, but this version works the same way. I'm not bothered if I save the file when changes are made in order to update the live view, so just remove the dialog box would be a decent solution.

    Thanks for any help

    Hello

Turn it off in "View > Live View Options"... automatically uncheck "synchronize remote files.

  • Live view DreamWeaver CC 2014 not correct

I use the new DreamWeaver CC 2014 on Windows 7. I have a doc html using a separate CSS style sheet, JQuery, JQuery UI, and Modernizr. The page is configured using flexbox and displays as expected in Chrome and IE. All valid outs without warnings or errors.  I turned on the mode live view and the page isn't yet about how chrome displays the page.

Is anyone else having similar problems?

I filed a bug with Adobe report. They contacted me later that day, request a copy of the files, which I provided. Yesterday, I received a reply stating that they have solved the problem and it would be included in the next update. I can't wait to see it in action.

  • CC 2014 Live view does not

I'm woking with a site on a local server. When I click on the Live view mode, it just sits and does nothing and does not display anything. A small bar blue progress in the lower right corner animated permanently. It was working fine before CC2014.

Never mind. He had to be a server problem. I unplugged and plugged back in, it works fine now.

  • CC 2015 live view works only with php files

I try to use Dreamweaver CC 2015 with my local host of XAMPP PHP/MySql.  I use the same configuration I used with CC 2014 for my site, but when I switch to Live View, the default view is not to find the host local sever folder and only for the local page of XAMPP.  My localhost in my setup of site server address is: C:\xampp\htdocs\STproto\, but the poster address bar: http://localhost/xampp/ when in Live View mode.  When I manually change the address mode live view to the specific file: c:\xampp\htcdocs\STproto\index.php, the page appears correctly.

Is there a difference in the configuration of the local server in 2015 for CC that I'm missing?

    Thank you!

PS: I use XAMPP local server php/mysql version 3.2.1.  DW is running on Windows 10.

    Must be http://localhost/YourSiteFolder/

You can see a screenshot of your test server Local DW definition?

  • My page display mode live view, but not in design mode.

In DW CC 2014 and 2015 CC DW, my page display mode live view, but not in design mode. When I switch to Design view, I see only the grid and nothing else. ????

DW, especially the latest version, requires a clean code and valid for many functions to work correctly. Chances are, there are a few code errors in your HTML view Design of the data warehouse can not handle, but browsers and the Live View can.

Run the validator at http://validator.w3.org/nu for a list of errors and correct all found your page.

If you have a clean and valid code, but the problem persists, post a link to your current page, or all of the code and css here in the forum (don't use e-mail, it will not come through) so we can take a look at what's going on.

  • How to pass the album Live view mode Design while working on a fluid page? The drop down option isn't there as if it was on other pages.

How to pass the album Live view mode Design while working on a fluid page? The drop down option isn't there as if it was on other pages.

You can not.  If you want to work with FGLayouts, I recommend drop back to the Release of June 2014 CC before they took the Design of FGLayouts mode.

You can get the version of June 2014 DW direct links below:

    Win: http://download.adobe.com/pub/Adobe/Dreamweaver/WIN/CC/Dreamweaver_14_LS20.exe

    Mac: http://download.Adobe.com/pub/Adobe/Dreamweaver/Mac/CC/Dreamweaver_14_LS20.dmg

Solution #2: Modify your CSS FGLayout file by adding an X to the code as shown below.  This trick DW into thinking that it is a normal page, so you can use the new Design view.   NOTE: Do not change the CSS in design Panel.  Do it in Code view.  Record.  Close DW.  New launch DW.

  • mode live view Dremweaver 2015

Hi I do not know if it was a good idea but I've just updated to 2015 of Dreamweaver. DW 2014.1.1 display live would make modules in British Colombia, but not in 2015.

I noticed that the BC extension is no longer supported for 2014.1.1 upward so I'm sure this has something to do with it.

Y at - there a trick to getting BC back on DW 2015 live mode view, or do I have to start learning the liquid for it to work better with DW now?

OK I load my files the mode live view and don't push is not to test the server.

Thanks for your help Luke you're a smart man!

  • Looks great in mode live view, but not in Design view after adding php code

Can anyone help with this?  I have a php with HTML5 page that looks much like the design view, live view and in the browser. I add php code above <! doctype html > and the page goes in all directions in design mode. If I switch to live view, the page looks a lot like new. The above code <! doctype html > is php with zero html completely. It's as if design mode try to read php despite start-up code and tags php in place.

The only work around, I have found is to place <! doctype html > at the top of the page and view design looks great again, but this cannot be used in the browser as I have the php code that requires it to be the first items found.

    I use Dreamweaver CC 2014

    Any help greatly appreciated,

    Dave

Nancy, just to update you I had a bit of success by changing my invisible elements preferences.

  • How do I check easily design responsive mode live view?

    Hello

I'm trying Dreamweaver CC 2014 and I'm following the tutorials of Lynda.com.  When I set up the delicate design, should I move the split view and release the click of the mouse to the point where I'm so it updates live view.  Is there anyway to have the update of live view that I drag the vertical splitter bar on the screen?  I find it a bit annoying that I can not check the responsiveness of the site when I move the vertical split bar.

    OS: Windows 8.1 Professional

    RAM: 16 GB

    Thanks for your help,

    Jack

#1 Preview in the browser and resize the width of the viewport.

#2 upload your site on a remote server and test it in a Mobile Emulator online

MobileTest.me - test your mobile sites and sensitive web designs

#3 use Firefox with the Web Developer add-on toolbar.  It has a very cool feature under Resize > sensitive view layouts that shows the appearance of your site in all the widths of different device. See screenshot.  During development, I use a lot to check my work.

  • How can I prevent the display of the grey turn Code when I select Live view mode?

I just upgraded to Dreamweaver CC 2014. Now, when I pick something in Live View mode when in split view, Code view window becomes gray. I can hardly see anything and cannot easily find my cursor. Very annoying. How can I change this? Does anyone know?

It seems to me that you use Design mode in your previous version.

The editor in Live mode is new to DWCC2014 and later, if you were using an earlier version, and by clicking on the elements in Live View mode, he would have acted like you were clicking on these items in a browser, there is no way to change using Live View before CC2014. The blue plan has been added during the introduction of the editor in Live mode.

Click on the Live View drop down menu and choose Design, see if that is more as you remember.

  • Dreamweaver crashes whenever I go into 'Live View'

Help! I tried to remove this folder from preferences in Application Support > Adobe but I didn't see even a Dreamweaver file in there. Everyone knows about a problem like this? I have a crash report if this is useful, but it is very long, so I don't know what parts to send. I use Dreamweaver CC very well, but once I go into CC 2014 it crashes in Live View mode.

    Thanks for any help!

Ok.  This means, there is something in your source code that is originally DW to choke, crash and burn.

My advice is to run your code through W3C validation tools and fix the errors reported.

    CSS - http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/

    HTML - http://validator.w3.org/

If you use Google Analytics Tracking code, try commenting it out or move them to another physical JavaScript file.

If you have neutral protocol links TypeKit or other 3rd party servers, try to change / / http:// or https://

  • Assembly of persons with reduced mobility in Live View mode

I scoured the web trying to figure why I am unable to change the thing in Live view with Dreamweaver CC. When I click on the button Live while properties and Insert etc. is disabled. All the tutorials I've seen for Dreamweaver CC everyone is adding/subtracting elements in Live View mode, but for me it is all grayed out and is not possible. I looked for options enable editing mode live view, but I can't find anywhere in dreamweaver. Help, please!

Live View edition is available in CC 20141 (release of October).

If you have an earlier version, 2014 CC or CC 13, you will not have this option.
