LiveCycle Designer included in Tech Comm Suite 3?

I'm going to upgrade Tech Comm suite 1.3 to 3.0, but can't tell if LiveCycle Designer included with version 3. Can anyone confirm?

Thank you!

Cindy

3 TC includes Acrobat X Professional.

And Acrobat X Professional includes Designer ES2.  See the web page under the heading create a custom form:

Create forms professional models out-of-the-box or form design from scratch using Adobe LiveCycle® Designer ES2 for Windows software, which is included as part of Acrobat X Pro.

  • With the help of creative cloud with Tech Comm Suite

Does anyone else have this problem as it is sure as hell Adobe can't seem to accept that they have a problem!

I have a subscription to creative cloud and a subscription of Tech Comm Suite.

Under the license agreement, I'm able to use subscriptions on both machines, even if not at the same time, which is perfect for me, I'm good, but not good!

    So I run:

    • Desktop Mac - creative cloud (Indesign etc. etc.)
    • Surface Pro - creative cloud (Acrobat)
    • Laptop Dell - Tech Comm Suite

So why, if I am connected to my Mac and my Dell, I stopped both of these machines, I start my Surface (at home) and he said I have to sign out of my other machines as I have no more licenses?

It seems that the licensing of Adobe system verifies the number of times that an ID is used and not how many seats/licenses you have!

Technical support have no idea and bumble around an answer.

I'm the only person in the world who has this problem?

    Thank you

    > I am connected to my Mac and my Dell, I stopped both of these machines

Turn off the computer is not enough, you must log in to your Adobe account cloud on a computer for the Adobe activation server know that you have an available cloud activation for your 3rd computer

    > It appears licensing of Adobe system checks the number of times that an ID is used and not how many seats/licenses you have!

    It's just fine

  • Can I keep FrameMaker 9 installed and install Tech Comm Suite 4?

I ask because Adobe Application Manager does not install its own update - and it's the only thing I can think of (though I've had the software on the system for a few months now and it has just begun to fail).

A patch has in the meantime caused the problem?

Downloaded some patches manually (managed to download and install the hotfix for FrameMaker 11) but some are trying to launch the Application Manager when installing anyway.

If I need to uninstall, do I need to uninstall EVERYTHING? (Can not find Application Manager in the control panel > programs and features... do I have to uninstall the following?)

Permanently turn off turn on if going to reinstall on the SAME computer?

Get confused because a lot of assistance for Application Manager refers to a Creative Suite cleanup tool. Should I run this after you uninstall?

I don't have Creative Suite, but they have InDesign CS5.

Running Windows 7 Professional, 32-bit, with 3 GB of RAM.

    Thanks in advance,

    Alison

Reinstall on the same system does not turn off. I don't know how more techcomm products are threaded, but there may be a sense by running the Creative Suite cleanup tool. It will not remove anything, just get rid of blocakges and version conflicts in the Installer database. After that, you should be able to reinstall your TCS 4. 9 FM should not be affected by all this, given that the different major versions install separately. But I can't really tell you 100%. There may be characteristics with the FM and some other TCS of the stuff that I'm not aware of.

  • Tech Comm Suite 2: still no way own to achieve image RoboHelp?

    Hi all

The help system that I'm putting in RoboHelp has a "Getting Started" section that my client would like to exit as a separate guide (print the PDF, if necessary). I'd like to do more in FrameMaker, but not sure I can justify it if the only way to get the content more must generate Word first, then import them into the frame, and then do more cleaning that I would have had to do if I left it in Word. Am I missing something, or do all the major FrameMaker - integration of RoboHelp features assumes that you create in the framework?

    Thank you

    Katie

    Hi Katie

Indeed, it is the way it is perceived. The expected workflow (assuming that the chassis is involved) is the author and maintain the content in the image, then use RoboHelp as a output for the help formats (CHM, WebHelp, FlashHelp) but create PDF and Word type of content directly from chassis.

    See you soon... Rick

I had all my software, including my "Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium" removed from my MacPro (OSX 10.10.2) by a computer technician after inadvertently installing some malware.

Now, I can't reinstall my CS4 Installer software wants to identify the product where I'm upgrading, but mine is not on the list. The old product, from which I'm upgrading is called "Adobe Design Collection". In addition, he has 4 serial numbers (one for Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat), not one, as the installation program requires.

I know it's possible, as I've had for a long period of work. I'm doing something wrong now?

Contact technical support be web chat and have them generate a temporary series of work / challenge code for installation.

  • Mac version of LiveCycle Designer?

I'm sorry, I know this has been asked before but I can't find a clear answer.

Y at - it a Mac of LiveCycle Designer version?

Our office is upgrading to CS5 Design Premium. If we buy the Mac version, we have LiveCycle Designer? (included with Acrobat 9 Pro?)

It seems that the forum users say no, but two representatives from Adobe told me Yes. I don't know who to believe.

    Thank you

    Hello

    No joy!

When LS Designer comes with Acrobat, it ONLY comes with the version of Windows.

As far as I know, LC Designer is not available for the Mac, as the context Enterprise Suite is a solution for Windows.

I have CS5 Design Premium for Mac and there no LC Designer. I have a standalone Acrobat 9 Pro Extended for Windows and there is no bundled LC Designer.

One last point: in the future versions LC Designer is not available as a stand-alone purchase. See http://forms.stefcameron.com/2010/01/14/purchase-designer-es2-upgrade/

    Good luck

  • If I have Acrobat DC should I form Livecycle Designer?

If I have Acrobat DC should I form Livecycle Designer?

Not if you have purchased the designer.

The designer used to be installed with Acrobat. Certainly since Acrobat XI you must purchase it separately - unless you license server / AEM-Forms-Server. Then you have the included Designer. Or if you use SAP - you can also have a designer.

  • InDesign how compare to LiveCycle Designer ES to create interactive form?

    Hi all

I work as an assistant COMPUTER in a company. Before my job, my supervisor used LiveCycle Designer to create all our forms. Much of this work fell on me now, but I'm trying to figure out which program would be best suited. I find LiveCycle to be somewhat archaic, and it does not sit well with other programs, even in the following Adobe. More alarming, that seems not be supported almost as well as any other program Adobe, as if he were to be progressive. I don't want to learn this program if it becomes obsolete as soon as...

What I don't like not inDesign, is that while it covers all the defects mentioned, it does not seem much LiveDesigner employs some advanced features. It comes to things like the calculations behind the scenes and scripts in the PDF itself. If I missed those options, I'd love to be corrected.

What does the community think? LiveCycle Designer is worth learning, or inDesign powerful enough to provide what I need?

    Thank you

If you want stuff like that, stick with LiveCycle Designer, with all its limitations. LiveCycle Designer is therefore more part of the Acrobat, is Windows only, etc. etc. My impression is that Adobe is it gradually.

InDesign is just an entry by creating a form in Acrobat. It's a comfortable and familiar layout for InDesign users. There is a large group of people who know how to create and use Acrobat Forms. No doubt some of the things you want from LiveCycle can be done by adding JavaScript, but it happens in Acrobat Pro, not in InDesign. You should spend some time in the forum of PDF Acrobat forms because you would spend part if your time in InDesign, part of your time in Acrobat Pro:

  • Acrobat come with LiveCycle Designer?

I would like the ability to use the Adobe LiveCyle Designer to create PDFs live for my company to use for their forms. There is not a lot of information online on how to get LiveCycle Designer or what packages are supplied with LiveCycle Designer. I don't want to make a purchase without knowing this. [For Windows]

He used to come with Acrobat Pro for Windows, but no more. Now, you need to buy it separately.

  • LiveCycle Designer

I understand that you cannot edit or send the forms created with LiveCycle Designer for signature with Acrobat DC?

It depends on what type of signature that you ask, as well what version of Reader/Acrobat or non - Adobe PDF viewer the signatory will use. XFA forms can include digital signatures. Dynamic XFA forms no longer support the type of electronic signature. Public static XFA forms are supported by several types of electronic signatures.

  • Acrobat Pro XI - LiveCycle Designer is not available

Our company has been previously using Acrobat X Pro and we have since upgraded to Acrobat Pro XI.  What options are available to allow me to change to LiveCycle designer files created by Pro X?

    Hello

We had a similar problem. As it is no longer ships with Acrobat, if you meet certain criteria, you can get a free upgrade.

    https://helpx.Adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/upgrade-LiveCycle-Designer-Acrobat-XI.h tml

I have read this page and assumed that we could just recover again. For now, our COMPUTER support is in discussion with Adobe - not course that it is.

If all goes well, you might have more luck.

In the meantime, we ended up back Acrobat X Pro on some PCs so we can continue using LiveCycle, but he is not happy and keeps asking us to save it.

LiveCycle is now a separate program:

Complete design of ES4 designer tools | Adobe LiveCycle Enterprise Suite 4

We said that it's very different from the ES2, so we will have to test it before committing to buy the new version anyway.

    Good luck

  • I made a form of barcode using acrobat 9 pro and liveCycle Designer

I made a form of barcode using acrobat 9 pro and liveCycle Designer, but the code bar in the gray eyes of acrobat reader... I know that I need some component to apply to the document... but I don't know how to get...

You must activate Reader form with LiveCycle Reader Extensions and include the right to use of barcodes (BarcodePlaintext). You will need to contact Adobe for the price of information.

  • possibility to buy LiveCycle Designer ES2?

My company needs to edit our existing LiveCycle Forms, but they are in the old format ES2 and open forms in the ES4, but some the workflow scripts are not visible in the ES4. According to what I read, the former XFA forms must be converted to make the changes I need to do, and it is not possible for us. Is it possible to get the ES2 somehow? I searched, and yesterday, I swore there is a link to contact Adobe for previous versions of LiveCycle, but I can't find it now. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply. I was able to download Acrobat X Pro, but ES2 seemed not to be included. BUT, you led me to the answer... ES2 is included in Acrobat X Suite

Thank you so much - you saved me a ton of headaches!

  • How to get forms to ignore the default text in the fields during the validation of LiveCycle Designer

    Hiya,

I'm test ss4 Designer to create a simple form that is submitted by e-mail.

Everything works except for my text boxes...  They are implemented in the form of required fields, but because I've included the text by default with the instructions, if you press on submit without changing the fields, they will not validate as empty and does not throw an error message.

I searched the forums all day for a fix, but I'm too new to understand where to put the code, etc.  I tried to add

' text {! = placeholder}' in the validation box but model that does not work...

All I have is LiveCycle Designer and I'm on windows 7.  Thanks for your help!

    Hello

There is a script editor.  If you select the field, then you will be able to select the event in the 'Show' taking place (above the 'Design' tab), and then the code window will be active and you can enter your code.  You can extend the default value of a single line.

    Good luck

  • Replacement for LiveCycle Designer

I learned recently from a customer who is Adobe () will replace LiveCycle Designer with a new program and it will have to redo all their forms with this new program, and that they would use rather a contractor who is familiar with this new program.

Whereas, I followed what happens with LiveCycle, I hardly believe that there is a new program that Adobe will come out with as a replacement for LiveCycle Designer ES4.

Someone from Adobe could confirm or deny the existence of this new program. My opinion is that the new management wants to change contactors just and that it is not honest.

    Kind regards

    Martin

It is completely wrong.   There is no replacement for LiveCycle Designer ES4 and you won't have to redo you forms in another tool.  Designer will continue to exist and be improved.  As you may know, we had just one major release in March and a service pack release in September that includes updates to designer.

Please contact me with a private message where you heard that.   I would like to reach out to your source and set the record straight.
