  According to attachment I am unable to download the new purchase of adobe acrobat for mac.  I get this message after you enter the new serial number:

  This isn't a valid serial number.  Please re - enter your serial number.

  Maybe there is a lag between the time of purchase and while Adobe servers are updates and download can occur?

  Acrobat 5.0 is not elgible for upgrade. You must purchase the full version of Acrobat.

  Please note that Acrobat 9 is quite an old version and has not been tested on Windows 10 platform which could be the reason why you are facing problems.

  I suggest you use compatible with Acrobat XI either DC for your operating system versions.

• Using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro version 9.5.1

  2 questions:

  1. under 'File' > 'Properties', in the 'Description' tab it shows at the bottom under the location of the file "move forward." How can I get rid of the 'location '?   I deleted everything out of the "Custom" tab and has nothing in the 'location '.   I don't want this file to be tagged in some way.
  

  2. where should I go to select what is 'denied' for a specific document when I send others? i.e. printing, changing document, etc.

  For "1".

  'Location' simply identfies where the PDF is on the end user's computer.

  What you see when you view it as a PDF file is opened on your computer will not be what I see.

  If you come across a technique to hide/remove it for your license of Acrobat on your computer this technique is not on my computer.

  For '2 ' -.

  Select Advanced > Security > encrypt with password

  In the password security - dialog box setting locate 'Permission' (to half way down).

  Check "Restrict editing and printing of the document." A password is required in order to change these permission settings. »

  I recently bought Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro, it came with Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES.  When I create a new document with Acrobat 9, it takes me right in LiveCycle for design, which doesn't bother me.  However, the properties of each field are very limited in comparison with Acrobat 9.  So, the file I created with LiveCycle I want to be able to reopen with Acrobat 9 and reach the field with Acrobat 9 properties, but the system, I cannot do.  What I am doing wrong?

  To force uppercase, enter the following text in the change like JavaScript event (make sure JavaScript is selected in the drop-down list top-right language):

  XFA. Event.change = xfa.event.change.toUpperCase ();

  As you can see from the picture, there are a lot of palettes available on the right side to change fields. I hope this helps.

  All I can say at this point is to go to control panel > programs and features and click on Acrobat. You will get a repair option. When finished with the repair (assuming it works), then select help > updates and update your installation. You can also download the update of http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows and install 11.0.06. Finally, I have checked, 11.0.06 updates all the way back to 11.0. This isn't always the case, so looking at the latest version which is necessary to make the updates is always a good idea.

  What application you use. Export is not an option in Acrobat, but it is typical of a lot of software packages that create PDF files. Ownership of the PDF file as a text or a graph as mentioned graffiti is an important part of this issue. The service you use apparently will probably charge an arm and a leg for any changes.

  Acrobat 9 is quite old and not longer supported. The last Windows OS that could use Acrobat 9 has Windows 7 and Acrobat had to have all updates applied.

  You need to upgrade to Acrobat DC.

  We're sorry, but the serial number would work only for Acrobat DC and not acrobat XI.

  You will need to upgrade your operating system to windows 7 to install acrobat DC.

  OK - SUCCESS, albeit in an unexpected way.

  When I open it I asked me if I would like to install some plugins/upgrades/something something. One was a PDF print option and I don't remember the other. This time I unchecked the boxes and WHAMMO - Acrobat opens right. If anyone has this problem there is the solution!
