Load a CSV file into a table like in dataworkshop
Workshop of data has a function to load a CSV file and create a table based on it, the same, I want to create in my application.I went through the forum http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=334988 & start = 60 & tstart = 0
but not able to download all the files (application, package HTMLDB_TOOLS and PAGE_SENTRY function) could not find the PAGE_SENTRY function.
AND when I open this link http://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=27746
I could not run the application. I've provided a CSV file and when I click on SEND, I get the error:
ORA-06550: line 1, column 7: PLS-00201: identifier ' HTMLDB_TOOLS. PARSE_FILE' must be declared
tried in apex.oracle.com host as shown in the previous post.
any help pls..,.
Another method to load data into the tables..., (as dataworkshop)
Hello
I have check app works very well.
Have you read instructions?
Load a CSV file in a table
>
Create a small csv file as
col1, col2, col3
VARCHAR2 (10), Number, "Number (10.2)" "
Cat, 2, 3.2
dog, 99, 10.4
>
First row must have valid column names. To verify that your first line of titles have no spaces or those who are not words reserved.
Second line of the CSV file must have column of table data types.
When you meet these requirements app works perfectly
Kind regards

Performance problem when downloading the CSV files into Oracle tables
We have implemented the Vikas solution ([http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=38131:1]) to download CSV files into tables Oracle permanent and it works fine. However, whenever we try to send more than 5,000 records, it takes a lot of time and often wait times. What can we do to improve performance? We are running HTMLDB 2.0.
For example, a CSV file with 12000 documents and 40 columns takes 40 minutes to load (while a recording of CSV 2000 file takes 2 minutes to load).For large external files, copy us our CSV files to the Oracle server and then make reference to the file in an Oracle external table. Once the external table defined you then load your APEX table via a stored procedure by using:
INSERT INTO your_tbl (columns)
SELECT (columns)
Of external_tblHope that gives you another option to consider.

Hello
I am trying to load the BLOB (CSV file) into apex_application_temp_files table using the file_browse item type. I have created an example page and the added element of type file_browse, added a dynamic action, which send item to browse.
Also added a button load that submits the page. But when I check the apex_application_temp_files of APEX sql workhop table, nothing appears.
I purge file to "end of Session. Enclosed screen shot as well.
Thank you
Ankit
Hi Pierre,.
has added a dynamic action, submitting travel item.
How can you submit just the element go? How your dynamic action look like?
But when I check the apex_application_temp_files of APEX sql workhop table, nothing appears.
It is by design, because the sight of apex_application_temp_files limited to your current session. In your case at the session of constructor and not your application.
Add a process to the page that contains the item "Browse file" when you use
select * from apex_application_temp_files where name = :page item name;
to access your downloaded BLOB.

I googled for the file control and tried in different ways, but of no use.LOAD DATA INFILE '/home/oraread/' INTO TABLE xmlloadtable ( id, data_xml )
I want to load the entire xml file into the table.
Can someone help me with the correct control file. Any help is appreciated!Try this
LOAD DATA INFILE '/home/oraread/' INTO TABLE xmlloadtable (id, file_name filler, data_xml lobfile(file_name) terminated by eof )
You can add the file as a column name field to your table between the id and xml column and remove the word to fill in the .ldr file if you need to keep the name of the file

My sample_tbl has a start_time field and its data type DATE.
Good. Be sure to always store dates as the DATE.
The application (in this case, APEX) needs to format the date date type in the appropriate human-readable format.
The problem with the incoming data is the 't'. You will need to convert a space using REPLACE() in the framework so that your SELECT statement
From there on, conversion to the DATE data type is simply
to_date( replace( start_time_str, 'T', ' '), 'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS') as start_time
And, just in case where, the conversion of DATE for the desired format:
to_char( start_time, 'MM/DD/YYYY HH12:MI:SS AM')
Although, I'm 'hours' as being left-padded with zeros... Am I looking for how / if you can get rid of the zero prefix (0).

Load a CSV file and access to variables
Hi guys,.
I am new to AS3 and treated with AS2 before (just to get the scope when change it).
Is it possible in AS3 to load an excel .csv file into Flash using the URLLoader (or?) and the data in the form of variables?
I can get the .csv to load and trace values (cell1, cell2, cell3...) but I do not know how to collect the data and place it into variables.
Can I create a table and access like so... MonTableau [0], myArray [1]? If so, I don't know why it does not work.
I have to be on the road quite wrong. Here's what I have so far...
var loader: URLLoader = new URLLoader();
loader.dataFormat = pouvez;
loader.addEventListener (Event.COMPLETE, dataLoaded);var request: URLRequest = new URLRequest ("population.csv");
Loader.Load (request);
//...
function dataLoaded(evt:Event):void {}
var myData:Array = new Array (loader.data);
trace (mydata [i]);}
Thanks for any help,
Sky
Simply load your csv file and use the string flash methods to allocate these values in a table:
var myDate:Array = loader.data.split(",");

Insert xml files into the table

This idea is troubling for me.
The XML file DOES NOT CHANGE. This is the goal. You have a DTD/XST that defines where in the XML hierarchy, a data element is and (so) how to access it. With this information, you can hardcode things.
Therefore, you should have no reason for that functionality 'map the data column in the table column"of the data loader since all mappings will be always the same.
As a simple INSERT... The SELECT statement can (and should) be used.
(use the FUSION if you update / insert data).
I copy + paste some of my code in a procedure that I use.
You will need to replace the parameter name (p_filename) with the value of appropriate link (name of item)
declare l_XML XMLType; begin /* get file from APEX WWV_FLOW_FILES */ begin select XMLType( blob_content, 1 ) -- 1 means that the file is USACII encoded. this may need to be changed. into l_XML from wwv_flow_files where name = p_filename; -- replace this with the appropriate ITEM NAME exception when no_data_found then raise_application_error( -20001, 'not in FLOW: ''' || p_filename || '''' ); end; /* you'll need to figure this one out */ INSERT INTO T (...) SELECT .. FROM XMLTable( '/' pasing l_xml columns
PATH -- repeat for each "column" you want to extract ); delete from wwv_flow_files where name=p_filename; end; -
I load several SWF files into an array, I have add and remove objects on the stage, it is a carousel.
All locations of the items are set in xml format. If I only have one loaded in the table it works very well, if I have more so we have) play the swf file, or b) display the swf file.
Sovereign wealth funds themselves contain code that trigger events in the main container. Causing other elements to play or load.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Hi howet,
EDIT:
I opened a bug of flash in their system of bug that I was able to reproduce the problem, I found: https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-7071
There are workaround solutions I found there.
ORIGINAL MESSAGE:
I had a similar problem using a load component which I use for several years with no problems. As with you, the question arose when you load multiple SWFs (or even a swf, then a jpg file) on 10.3 and later. It works fine on 10.2 and below again.
I found a solution that I'm looking for an appropriate response and it is to delay the subsequent charges using a setTimeout hacky.
For example:
protected function manageLoaded (p_event: Event): void {}
setTimeout (loadNext, 1);
following line breaks the loaded SWF stop.
loadNext();
}
I hope this help you, let me know.
See you soon,.
Dan.

Hello
I need to import files into a table from a database. After importing I must record in another table, the name of the file, the current date and the State of import (0 - import ok, 1 error import etc.). All files has the same structure but different file names.
Is there any possibility of cycle in the folder, import a file in the table and after that save filename to another table with the State of importation?
Thanks in advance
GabiHi Gabi,.
Assuming that you have a set of files (.txt, .csv,...) in a folder with the same structure, but different file names.
Solution:
Get all the names of files and insert these names in a table temporary temp_filenames (filename, status).
with the status of 'R' (walking).Delete No .txt temp_filenames .csv file names (for examle if no void / files / other file names are here).
Add a v_filename variable (select * from temp_filenames where status 'R' limit 1)
Create datastore source with the name of varaiable (#v_filename).
(remove file extensions, the spaces between the names of files... all by creating tables in DB,)
for this, you can use a variable more / apply your logic)the flow of processes in a loop (make sure whetehr the count is greater than 0 for the variable)
If its gerater trhan 0 then processes the file with #v_filename.
Once the upadate process successful status as a ' other (completed) 'E' (error)This will make a loop for all files in your folder
Once the process is complete, you can insert the status of paper in your journal table looking into temp_filenames.
Then delete all temporary tables you createdPlease let me know if you need further help with this.
