• Will not blackBerry Smartphone Video play past 04:09

  I downloaded some videos on my Blackberry "BOLD" the other day, after receiving my new 8 GB MicroSD, start playing them while I was out and about and would not play any of them past 4 minutes and 9 seconds.  I'll try to fast forward the video spent and get the same error as I would if I played the full 04:09 from the beginning.

  *.3gp is the format I use.  Files are those that I made myself using Ultra Mobile 3GP Video Converter.

  Suggestions?

  I found a temporary solution to do this, I can now play videos 04:09, but not as a *.3gp file.

  I noticed that when I used the converter in the Roxio Media Manager, that he transformed into a *.mp4 file rather than be a file *.3gp and BlackBerry began to let play past 04:09.

  So I now convert all my long *.mp4 video instead of using it as a *.3gp format.  Videos full length are currently not a problem for me as long as it's in *.3gp and *.mp4

  (Similar to a previous post problem: stuck on the update)

  I have a Bold 9700 a little over 2 years now.  I downloaded the Blackberry Desktop software on the RIM site so that I could update my phone OS 5 to 6 of the OS. What I've read here OS6 is not a good idea for the Bold 9700 as I found it.

  So here's the problem, I updated the operating system via the Blackberry Desktop Softwqare and everything was fine until the whole 5 minutes later the phone froze and since then not able to get it running. I think there somethnig to see with an App (iTookThisOnMyPhone) that is causing the problem. The phone turns on eventually (after several battery grips and 1 hour wait), but I can't go to the menu as the clock appears on the screen.

  I think to repair (given by Blackberry Desktop Software solution) is however kind I can keep the data on the phone? Should there be a backup of file when I have updated OS5 to OS6?

  There are two methods for recovering for you to try:

  One:

  • Open Blackberry Desktop Software & connect your device with the PC using the USB cable, without inserting the battery.
  • You have three Retry option, update or cancel, and then click Update.
  • Once it is at the stage of the "initialization of pocket" update, then insert the batteries.
  • If this does not work, and you get stuck on the safeguarding of social data feeds, go to the second method below.

  Second:

  • Start your BlackBerry in safe mode.  Article ID: KB17877 how to start a mode BlackBerry smartphone without failurehttp://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB17877
  • Connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software and allow handheld to connect. If you are prompted to update, cancel the upgrade for later.
  • IF you can not connect or your desktop software does not recognize your device in Mode safe, please follow the instructions here to force detection: Article ID: KB10144 how to force detect the BlackBerry smartphone using the Application Loader
  • Go to device > delete > SELECT DATA > select this option to remove the Social flow and smart card data bases and follow the rest invites you to complete.
  • Now, you can go back and click to update the device through the Desktop Manager, or restart the BlackBerry in normal mode and continue on the upgrade of the air.

  FYI... in response to your earlier question, yes it must be a backup file on your PC to all your data. If you have taken a backup manually, it will be everywhere where you placed it. In addition, when you perform an update via the PC, the software offers to take a backup - as long as you do not defeat this offer, then there will be a backup file on your PC. The desktop software should have the location for the backup files stored... Look at this configuration in the desktop software. Also, search your entire hard drive for files with the extension IPD or BBB (it depends on the version of the desktop software you are using). The results will tell you what you have available, with naturally those with the most recent date/time stamps being the more logical choice for you.

  For a stable start to the BB, you can also try Safe Mode:

  It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient.

  Upgrade to 5.0 when received from NewEgg, option browser is empty, phone connetcs wifim local but unable to use it. I also downloaded and installed Opera Mini, but still will not come out any comms via the wifi connection.

• Full synchronization can not blackBerry smartphones

  I have a Curve 8330 for about a month. Initially, it properly synchronized with Outlook 2000. Now, however, he hangs up in the middle of synchronization each time.   Running a BB Curve 8900

  Recently updated to V5.0.0.461 (Platform 5.2.0.42)

  My problem is when you try to use my camera to the video format, I get "unable to start recording.

  I AM able to take pictures very well.

  I have a lot of available memory, as I have a card of 4 GB with about 155 MB used. Memory is obviously not the issue.

  I didn't know all of the messages that the status of this problem or anything close for the moment. (Except that I ran out of course)

  My provider is TMobile - but the software was from another provider. Overall, the phone has will work perfectly on the 5.0.0.46 1 software, a few things here and there but I have worked through them.

  Help with graphics problems would be great!

  For the closure of the post office. I did resinstall the OS and not had another chance with the recording.

  Then, I went and checked again the location of files that would be recorded on the card.

  Still no luck then I created a folder on the press card, baptized "vids" and chose this location of files on the media as a location map that would be saved the vids.

  Tried to save again and it worked!

• Voice dialing can not blackBerry smartphones

  I had my Storm for about a week. When I got it I played with voice dialing option. It seemed kind of work but I put aside while I learned other functions. Now, I'm ready to explore the voice dialing and it does not at all.   Upgrade tp BBM 8.5 on my "BOLD", BBM wouldn't load but appeared in Blackberry World under my Apps without problem but no icon, just no connection and the people could not send my BBM. I tried Delete under Application Manager, rebooted phone and Messenger BBM was no longer in the list, but was still part of the Blackberry world so would not allow me to recharge. Do you have a hard reboot the thing same handset. I have now tried various methods to try to solve this problem, but 8.5 BBM will not completely himself clear of my camera. All my programs that were associated with BBM no longer work, so I find myself with a half stupid smart phone

  Open BBWorld and hold down the ALT key and type r s t

  That should reset itself BBWorld.  Then, try to open BBWorld and see if she will let you download.

• BlackBerry Smartphones BB Bold 9900 just does not load

  I bought my BB Bold 9900 10 months and I never had problems charging my battery. But the other day, when I got home and charged, when I woke up, Led - the RED light flashes and custom light up.   In waiting for someone to answer, I did some research and tried them out, but so far, I'm still not able to turn onn/load my camera.

  Here's what I've tried so far:

  1 pull the battery loading and put back on the

  2. the "kickstart" than what a qualified member where in while now the end call key, remove the battery and the light RED LED while that appear and immediately press call button for 3 seconds and press the end button again. He advised to do 7-12 times and told me that does not work the first time... but try again. (I tried to do this several times)

  3. a publication that he had his dependents for like 2 days and removed the battery every 2-3 hours. (did not have my phone which support long however )

  4 force detect the BlackBerry smartphone by using the Application Loader. It was also published in KB10144of Blackberry Knowledge Base.

  FYI: guests of the message I have seems different from what has been published well since I don't have the chance to reinsert the battery. I was prompted to unplug the unit and close the application before installation. After you restart, DM didn't register my device. Did not have the option 'new attempt/Update ".
