I used to defragment my Local C drive, but suddenly the location disappears from the list to defragment.
Then I tried to back up my laptop, but rather that I got this message:

Before troubleshooting, provide us with information.

1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

2. what security software is installed?

3. what applications are you using to back up data?

5. don't you make changes to the computer before this problem?

Start the computer in safe mode and do a virus scan. After the virus scan, remove or delete the infections found and restart the computer. After reboot, check the status of the issue.

    I'm not bad today, so I'll answer the question for your readers, without references to the kb articles and white papers.

    The answer is simple. The CDs are compilations of different files and batch processes and applications. They have 'by default'. If criteria is not met, the reaction is errors. How errors are showing is not always encountered a ready error message.

  • PES 9 - Photo Downloader is missing the option "Advanced"?

    The PES 9 Photo Downloader seems to have lost some of the features as the version 8 of PSE.

    Version 8 of PSE has an "Advanced" option that displays thumbnails of all the files on the selected media/device, and you can select the one you wanted to download. You can also insert base metadata in each downloaded file.

    The PES 9 uploader doesn't seem to have the "Advanced" option and requires you to download ALL the files to the selected media/device and has no option to add metadata.

    PSE 9 preferences has a section for the uploader. This includes the weather or not to do the correction automatically and weather or not to do automatic downloads to specific devices. There is an option in the preferences to possess a device use 'see APD (standard) dialogue', I don't see any options for manual loading 'Advanced '.

    Even the help of PSE 9 said it is supposed to be a button 'Advanced' on the Downloader.

    Is this correct, or am I missing something?

  • Why did I miss the option 'Buy' in iTunes store?

    I added a number of songs to my iTunes store wish list.  When I went to buy the songs that I have seen that the drop-down list next to each song did not have the option to purchase.  It doesn't have a 'Gift' option, but this isn't what I want.  I looked at my account settings and updated my credit card information.  I thought that maybe my card had expired, but by entering the card information once again made no difference.  I don't see the option to purchase in my wish list or the store itself.  I've attached a screenshot of what I see when I click on the drop-down list button.

Other things that are written about importing files in Lightroom seem to relate only to importing photos to the Lightroom Catalog, that is not my main concern, although I do not want them imported into the catalog as well. But before the pictures can go to the Lightroom Catalog, they need to be improted, in other words copied from the memory card on the local hard drive. In short, all I want is for Lightroom to take over the responsibility of Canon EOS Utility and behave in the same way during the import/copy of the files on the local hard drive. How is Lightroom sets for this?

    There is an option called see the import dialog when a memory card is detected under the general tab in Preferences, but there is no option of destination of the file associated with this.

    There are a few options on the management of the files tab in the Preferences, but they do not seem to affect the import of files on the local hard drive.

    I think what you want is on the right side of the screen import, down. There is a Destination area. It can be reduced. Just click on the small triangle next to 'Destination' to develop. Everything you need is there.

    I have the browser open inside sandboxie where I'm going to my gmail. I have an email from my son with a photo attachment. I have no trouble to consider this picture.

    However, I just found out that I couldn't save this picture on my computer HD. In sanboxie E-mail when I chose to save it in a folder in my computer HD shows like saved but when I close the browser and open my folder where I saved the photo allegedly - I can't find anything...

    So I guess that's the protection offered by sandiboxie?.  So if I need to save items of all reliable e-mails, I open my browser off sandiboxie to run my download?

    Yes, one of the goals of Sandboxie is to keep isolated... things so that, if you have accidentally downloaded a virus, he would be stuck in the sandbox [rather than infect your real system].

    Right-click on Sandboxie icon in your system tray, select Show THE WINDOW, the sandbox SAND SANBOX SETTINGS tab, DEFAULT ZONE.   On the left, click on the + sign of RECOVERY, to develop to reveal a QUICK RECOVERY.   You should see several locations of files listed there... perhaps including DOWNLOADS, DOCUMENTS, FAVORITES, or DESKTOP (even though I think some of your own peut be different).    You can add other folders of your choice.   These 'Fast food' files indicate the main areas where you want THAT Sandboxie really save files on your drive.

    It is spirit, back to your email address and see if you can direct download of your photo accessory in one of these files in particular.   When you do, you should see a popup of Sandboxie, indicating that the file is eligible for recovery, which means that it can be moved out of (side) of the sandbox.   I said in general to recover in the same folder (on my real system, as it was tyring to save in the sandbox).   And click on the RECOVER button.   If get you there, it should do the trick.

    There may be other ways to do it... but this method works for me.

    Also (now that you know where are the settings), there should be a setting to ask you to empty the sandbox when you exit the program... and it should also let you know that you have lingering there files which will be lost if saved.

    EDIT: actually, I just closed my browser sanboxed, not through QUICK-picked UP a file... and I get a screen to DELETE the CONTENTS of Sandboxie, again reminding me that I can still get the file [or well, delete the content of the Sandbox].   Certainly, it's been a while since I have set up the program, so I don't remember if it was a default option, or something I've tweaked.

    Edit2: There is a short tutorial for using Sandboxie http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?GettingStarted , which if you have the time, elaborates on this (in parts 4 and 5 of the tutorial).

    Totally 26 partitions are possible (from A to Z). And once you have reached the Z:\ drive letter, Windows will force you to mount the partitions next a folder NTFS rather than assigning a mixture of alphabets. Note that even if Windows is usually installed in the C:\ drive, you can assign drive letters A and B for your hard drive partitions, in the absence of floppy drives.
