Localhost instead of the IP address.

Hi all

I tried to install Oracle on Oracle 12.1.0.1.0-5.0.1.00.06 APEX. I used Tomcat 7.0.64 3.0.1.177.18.02 ADR.

I think that I have installed successfully, but the strange thing happened. I can only access the APEX thru localhost as below.

LocalhostApex.jpg

But I tried to access it by using the IP address http://10.30.7.100:8181 / apex / , but it I redirected http://10.30.7.100:8181 / ADR / and received the error like below.

I tried to access the tomcat via the same IP address and it worked.

Could someone please help to guide and point out what I've been missing to set up?

Thank you

Troy.

You have renamed ords.war to apex.war before moving the war file in Tomcat folder "webapps" as mentioned in the documentation of Oracle for ADR:

Apache Tomcat determines the context root, the name of a file archive of the WAR. If you need maintain backward compatibility, so that the URLS are of the form http://server/apex/... rather than http://server/ords/..., then you must rename it to ords.war to apex.war before moving in to the webapps folder.

Reference: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E56351_01/doc.30/e56293/install.htm#CHDBJHAF

For debugging this problem, you face on ADR:

  • Find the folder of configuration of ADR.
  • Enable debug tracing in defaults.xml (if the entry is not there add the entry)
  • Turn on detailed error messages ask in defaults.xml (if the entry is not there add the entry)
  • Start(Re-Start) the Standalone ADR / support for Java EE application server.
  • Go to the URL of the APEX
  • Copy / paste the debug log in the response to the forum. (The error is usually at the end of the paper, paste/fix the whole journal where occurs the first exception)

Kind regards

    Hi all

I'm looking to automate the deployment of virtual machines under vSphere 4 Update 1 via the SOAP using PHP service.  When I ask the vimService.wsdl file, I see the following XML:

Why is the referenced host here 'localhost '?  Should not the XML continue my code of points my vCenter Server's FULL domain name?  It's throwing me for a loop, because when I try for any transaction on the service established by PHP SoapClient instance, my code expires because it tries to connect to localhost instead of the actual address of my Server vCenter.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Even more useful would be a code example using PHP 5.3 SoapClient class (as opposed to nusoap, that I've seen it used, because it is not fully functional under PHP 5.3).  Thank you!

    Hello

"< soap: address location ="https://localhost/sdk/vimService"/ > in the vimService.wsdl specifies localhost in the address location because the wsdk is generated from the server and the server is localhost to himself." However, the location of the address can be changed. Now, when we're trying to establish a connection to a particular server (vCenter or host), when running, that the location of the address is replaced with the URL that we spend in the VimServiceLocator method getVimPort. In this way, established the connection to a particular server when running.

  • I use AOL for email and Firefox 9.0.1. Problem started 2 days ago. Before that I put in the two first letters of an email address and he gave me a list of possible. Now I get "undefined" for each possible instead of the email address.

There is no problem after updating to Firefox 9.0.1. My contact list always displays as he did before that this problem occurred. When I type the first letter or two of the email address, it used to give me a list of possible. Now t shows just as "undefined" e-mail address when he gives me suggestions for the address that I type in the invoice line. This means that instead of being able to click on my choice in the possible he gives me, I have to go to my contact list, find the name and then click on it if I send email to a person. If it passes in more ways than one, I either enter the full address or use copy and paste from the list of contacts. It is a huge hassle. Any help is appreciated.

It is possible that there is a problem with the file that stores the data for the "saved form.

Rename or delete the formhistory.sqlite (more formhistory.sqlite - log and formhistory.sqlite.corrupt, if they exist) in the profile folder of Firefox in the case where there is a problem with the file that stores the data for the "saved form.

Which will remove all the data forms, so you can rename formhistory.sqlite to formhistory.sqlite.sav or move the file to another folder in case you need to retrieve recorded data.

If that worked, then you can delete the files renamed.

However, when I tried to access the routerlogin.net OR IP address, the application expires. Which means that I can not set a password to protect my network.

  • Form open through the IP address instead of the server name in the URL!

    Hi all

We have forms 11 GR 2 64-bit with the JDK 7 9 on server update and updating JRE 7 25 on PC clients.

    I m facing problem in one of my customer's PC. Please note that follows;

http://svr:9001/forms/frmservlet? form = new, it does not open my form and displays the error.

http://192.0.0.1:9001/forms/frmservlet? form = new, it allows to open my screen successfully without any errors.

that is when we enter the server name in the URL, it does not open my form. But when we enter the IP address of the server, its ok.

It must use the name of the server, exactly as it is defined in the global variable, which is used to open reports. Thus, if we use

IP in the URL address, it opens to all reports.

This problem occurs in one of my PC, other customer client PC is OK.

    Help please!

    Thanks/regards,

    Dass.

    Hello

as explained by Sham, but among the 'hosts' file on the local pc not the server and also the other way around

    That is to say

    SRV 192.0.0.1

It is the local file that will be used to translate the name "srv" in the IP address of the "192.0.0.1' for the network software from the local pc power"watching"at this address.

So when you ask "srv" the "hosts" file can be inspected and the IP address of the returned '192.0.0.1' as translation

the only change is to use the IP address of the server 10.183.7.89 instead of localhost and if I change the ip address of the computer name, then its also works well.

    Thank you inadvance!

Reacted little after you have validated, but authentication Jives agie and my answer has been lost. Not the first time that I lost OTN due issues Jives or descending OTN responses. Well...

    My response was as follows.

Your listener begins listening using the host name of the server. This binds the 1521 port to all the IP addresses on the server. A new IP address must be created, which will be also automatically supported and connections port 1521 he will be accepted by the listener.

The AMT ORCL aliases connect to port 1521 on localhost (127.0.0.1 IP address). As the listener listen to all this server IP addresses, the client connection is successful.

The listener is then replaced listening on a specific IP address. Now the listener only listening on port 1521 on this IP - and no other IP address of this server.

The alias of tns ORCL now tries to connect using 127.0.0.1 - and this IP address is now supported by the listener. As a result, the connection of the client fails.

If the tns ORL connection uses the same IP address as the listener, the connection will succeed. The ORCL alias can either use IP address directly, or a host name that will solve in that intellectual property.

    The basic rules are:
-If the server name is used, the listener use INADDR_ANY indicator socket and tie the port to all the this server IP addresses
-If the IP 0.0.0.0 is used, the listener also links the Harbour to all the this server IP addresses
-If "localhost" or a specific IP address is used, the listener will tie the port to only this specific address and no other server IP addresses

The client to connect, use one of the IP addresses that the listener is listening. The customer can use:
-the host name so that the intellectual property (the host name must resolve to the IP address via the file DNS or hosts )
-l the address real IP itself

Use the following command in Windows to see what IP addresses and ports, the listening process is listening:
    Netstat-b - n tcp Pei
