Lock object in the timeline?

I wish that my purpose to stay where it is in the timeline panel, but when I lay down the duration of the slide, the object sticks to END slide.  Locking is not working.  Any ideas?

Do you see a red triangle at the end of the chronology of the object? This means that this end is locked at the end of the chronology of the slide. Need to get rid of by moving the rear end, which can be done with the shortcut key (Shift-left) or by dragging them.

    Hello

I don't know if there is a shortcut for this:

Sometimes it is easier to select an object in the timeline, but if you try to use the cursor keys to move, you move IN the timeline panel.

Is it possible to move to the slide edition?

    Thank you.

    I just found the answer:

-Click on the layer in the timeline of the object

-move the mouse over the object on the slide: you can move with the cursor keys.

is it possible to have objects to change levels while the timeline moves?

in other words, I have five sovereign wealth funds, which are defined to extend and different intervals. When one increases its size, it overlaps the other. Then, it reduced its size to the original size. the second then expands and overlaps the third, etc.

How can I get object number one on top while it animates, then get the two object to change to the next level when he hosted, etc.?

I hope I have not confused the crap out of everyone. It's hard to describe.

    Hello

I don't think this will be possible on the same blade, you must distribute across multiple slides to simulate the desired behavior. You're talking about the SWF file: hear you inserted the animations on the slide?

  • Cannot move objects in the timeline - imported file from v1.0 to v2.0

I imported a large file of Captivate 1.0 and tried to move a calendar object. None of the deadlines are locked, but I can't move anything. When I try to move something, the CPU goes to 100% for a while before anything NOT be PAST.

    So I have a file Captivate that I can't use in 2.0.

Furthermore, it is my first day using the "upgrade". I'm not impressed so far.

Good luck benhenny - looks like I can't help you.

  • Adobe Captivate Widgets prevent the timeline stops.

I noticed a problem with Adobe Captivate Widgets after the Flash play updated to 20.0.0.286. Captivate bars 8.0 and 9.0, Adobe Captivate Widget (and customer bars) prevent the timeline to play and objects on the timeline do not appear on the scene (slide).

Is there a fix for widgets? If there is no solution, which is a workaround for a widget reading/navigation bar?

I don't know if there is an easy solution for widgets that do not work with Flash 20 but if it turns that there is no solution, then the solution will be to create your own navigation using standard interactive objects such as buttons, and then click boxes, or preference buttons smart shape on slide master.

"A solid"keyframe marker"simply saves the current state of" property Panel options ", to the position of the playhead on the Timeline."

If Automatic transition OFF the State recorded following along the timeline, the keyframe will be hallow - which simply means no transition occurred between the previous saved key image. In appearance, when you read the animation, the movement will be 'snapshot' or sudden from one keyframe to another.

    See the illustration below.

1 auto Keyframe/Transition to OFF, there is no record of the keyframe.

    2. the time Auto keyframe is selected, but with the automatic Transition OFF, you get a solid keyframe.

    3. with #2 options still in place, the position of head of next reading will track the movement, but will be represented as a keyframe of Hallow's end.

  • Selection and manipulation of children locked objects

In CS5, when you have locked the objects within a group or layer, you can still select the whole group/layer at a time.  And with the selected group/layer, any transformation/Cup/etc. will affect everything in the Group/layer, including locked objects.

But in CS6, it seems that you cannot select entire group/layer with locked objects - the 'circle of selection"in the layers panel will not display the double circle.  And if manipulate you the Group/layer now, only the unlocked objects it contains will be affected; locked objects remain the same.

How can I revert to behavior of CS5?

It still works, but you need to select, not their target (which is what you did). You have to click to the right of the target symbol.

  • Captivate 5: can you change the color of items in the timeline?

Maybe it's easy, but I can't seem to find the answer on my own...

Is there a way to change the color of the objects in the timeline in Captivate 5? By default, they are really light colors (blue sky for objects, the yellow light of the mouse) and it is difficult to see how long the items are extended by slide.

    Thank you!

  • Is it possible to change the colors on the timeline?

I have a real hard to see objects on the timeline because they are pale blue and the background is white. It's better when you select them as they go blue darker, but by default, they are a true blue and I can't see them very well...

    Hello

Sorry, but this isn't something that is configurable. If you feel it should be, please consider submitting a hold formula. Link to do so is in my SIG.

  • Little red arrow at the end of the timeline?

    Hello

So, I find that some of my objects in the timeline will be stuck at the end and show a little red arrow. Once the arrow, move these objects is a cause of pain Captivate think they are until the end of the slide. What is the purpose of this little red arrow, and how am I to take advantage of the way it was designed?

    Thank you lisa

LOL, this is a question for the development team. I guess one of the advantages might be if you've always wanted perhaps the mouse movement occur at the end of the slide and that you were not entirely sure of the slide duration or what legends or other objects, you can add. In this case, you can only move for maybe a second, but always at the end of the mouse. So in this case it would make sense.

Personally, I have always written chalked it up to just how things behave. As long as I don't know why they do what they do, I'm much happier than if I have no idea and the method seems arbitrary without clearly discernible pattern.

  • User disconnects not properly causing the locked objects?

I often see a warning of the locked object. Is it possible that users who screens and do not close the logoff may leave the locked object? For example, closure of Regional service with a contour open instead of closing the outline, then using file-> exit to Regional service.

    Thank you

    FA

You are right.  I find items left in a locked state caused by several actions.

    (1) EAS closing although an item open/locked

    (2) "timing" EAS outside on a user, even if an object is opened/locked

    (3) automation that locks an object (say a build rule dim), but ends, leaving the locked object.

    To help relieve this

    (1) tell users to 'See' objects instead of "Edit" them if the user does not change.

    2) users learn the importance of good objects immediately close once they are made edition.

    3) users learn the importance of the economy and the closing of work in progress when they switch to another task in the middle of editing the objects...

  • Why can I not move objects to the bottom of the timeline in the video?

    Hello

Why can't I move the new object I inserted (this is a PNG image) all down the timeline just above the video/audio? That's where I need?

I edit the video with stripes, zooms and slices. I really hope that I can move it to the bottom of the timeline.

    Thank you

This a cpvc of the project, right? Several chronologies are open when necessary, and it is indeed not possible (as in cptx projects) to change the stacking order. However, this could be a workaround: move the timeline you want to down horizontally until you have an empty space: you can then move it to the bottom. You'll go up the other deadlines in the location where you want to have this object at the bottom... Then, you will have to move again. Very heavy, I think it's much easier to think before you add objects and add them in the right order. CPVC-feature did not get much attention, after it was introduced, it is probably not that popular?

  • First Pro CC partially lock up during the movement of 2 + clips minutes in the timeline.

I just started to first Pro CC a few days ago, and so far he has been INCREDIBLE!

When I try to move a clip 2 + minute from source in the timeline window, the program stops working, but it's not really "freeze" or lock up.

My mouse moves but I can't click on anything. I can still play/pause with the space bar. Shortcut keys all them always seem to work.

Sometimes it happens when I have a normal arrow cursor, and sometimes I hand "enter."

When I go to the Task Manager, Premier Pro is still 'in progress' (vs "not responding")

I'm running Windows 7 (Home Premium), 64-bit, Intel Core i3-4130 and 16 GB of RAM.

I currently store my video files on an external hard drive, which is a WD Passport Ultra. I see now that this player may not have the speed needed to run Adobe first Pro CC could be my problem?

    Thanks for any help!

If the 'Ultra' running at 5400 RPM, it's too slow. You must at least 7200 rpm or SSD

  • If I drag and drop an object in a box. When the timeline returns like that, I want the object to remain in the area and restores not where it was originally.

Hi all, this is my first post here. Very happy to be here.

I created an interaction by which objects can be dragged and got stuck in a box. Never, I solved the problem when the playhead returned items I looked where I had left. I did it with as2 and never solved the problem which I am sure is easy enough to solve. I remember someone saying something about levels.

I need to create an interaction where objects are put in a box and they stay there until the interaction ends. Say that the objects are in a room where the user must visit several times in the interaction. There must be a certain number of objects in the room and drag them into a box to get a done message, I want the user to be able to move to another part of my interaction and come back and be able to complete the conclusion and place the objects in the box without reset everything to where they were first encountered user them.

All advice, tips are greatly appreciated.

Looks like you need to add programming that 1) stores the x / y locations of the objects since they change 2) uses this information in position to position objects whenever you enter the picture that they are in.

You should be able to create variables to store the information that is on a layer that extends from the complete timeline so that the data is stored as it is updated and you move along the timeline.  When you move the object update you its position data. Then, in the context where you have objects use you a simple coding to place objects using this position info... something as simple as...

    Object1.x = object1X;

    Object1.y = object1Y;

If you are still using AS1/2 you would use _x and FLF instead of x and y
