lock on file

on my desk a little padlock appears on a folder of files.  What does the padlock and how do I get rid of it?

Hello

The padlock means usually only permissions (security settings) for the record is able to be accessed by you.

To change this, follow the steps in the link below.

    Hello

You cannot use the password to protect the files in Windows Vista. However, you can encrypt the file.

Encryption is a way to enhance the security of a message or file by scrambling the contents so that it can be read only by someone who has the appropriate encryption key to decrypt it.

    Hello Ajwren51,

Unfortunately, there is no option to lock the desktop on the computer icons so that you will not be able to move their position. However, you have an option for icons to align icons in a particular position on the grid which will give you a possibility to save the backup.

    a. right click on a space empty on windows.

    b. click view, and then select icons to align it on the grid.

  • AlreadyLockedException: Cannot lock the file, another user holds the lock

I created the client application to web service using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.7 and deployed on weblogic 10.3.6 on cluster consists of 3 servers. The problem is with some message logs on all three servers.

It is clearly stated that another process locks the record while the current process tries to lock the record even. Yet once obvious to say that the same application is deployed on three different servers (i.e. on the cluster) and each application tries to do the same task at the same time in each of the three servers with cluster.

Question: It is healthy to ignore this error? or I have to solve out?

I also checked this blog (Andrejus Baranovskis Blog: optimistic and pessimistic locking in Oracle ADF BC) he explains the difference between locking type available in the application model (optimistic and pessimistic). Will I change the lock mode in the request form for the client application that is mentioned to be optimistic rather than pessimistic? This will solve the problem? Is it OK to do with the behavior of the application who explained.

I thought about this a bit more and would not use temporary tables. Because the ADF does not guarantee that a session database is still used by the same am it will be difficult to control.

You can use a column in the table itself to write, for example, the name server that will manage the data before doing the real work.

Our you will find further information in the table that allows you to balance the work using this in a query. Sample would be a column id that allows you to select only the tires where the modulo 3 id is equal to 0, 1, or 2. In this way, it would be pointless to write something on the table before proposing the line as each server would see only the lines it is supposed to work.

    Hi guys,.

When you type information in a form in the DC or Pro Player I can enter text with fields of text etc and then save, close and return later to change the form. However once I use the function "Fill & Sign" to sign the document, and then save, it locks the file and all other fields become editable. Is there a way around this to remove this feature where it becomes locked and instead allows me to change the form after a signature is applied and saved. All the security properties of the form are on 'admitted', there is no restriction. Even though the document is locked all the properties remain still as 'authorized '.

The signing is FINAL.  You cannot sign a PDF paper advance. Complete and save, do not sign.

  • Receive a "error open disc can not due to the failure to lock the file

I had a disc with a boot failure.  I thought I had my saved VM but I got only an earlier version.

I put the disk in a USB enclosure and my new system cannot read the disc.

I copied the VM, I need my new drive.

When I try to open it, I get the error:

Cannot open disk '... vmdk' or

one of the snapshot disks it depends on.

    Reason: Cannot lock the file.

I don't have the original system, so I can't try to open it on this system.

Is it possible that I can get this virtual machine to open?

    Thank you

At least closed tab closed virtual machine or VMware Workstation then delete all folders/files .lck to the target of the virtual machine and then try to run it again.

  • Cannot open the disk could not be locked the file

Error when you try to share a drive between two virtual machines.  I have two web servers VM and a disk shared data, each web server has 20 GB for operating system disks, and they share a 500 GB drive for data.  I use clustered OCFS2 file system later.

See the 500 GB drive, but when we turn on the two VM the second throws the following error:

"An error was received from the ESX host turning on VM Myweb1.

Cannot open disk ' / vmfs/volumes/MyWeb1/MWeb1.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on.

    Cannot lock the file.

I've read about this error before but can't find where and understand that it's either because I don't set them up right to start with, or that there is some extra config I can do in the s flat *.vmx file?

Here's what we did when creating virtual machines and a shared disk, is there something missing

Create 2 new virtual machines for Web servers with disks of 40GB of basis for the operating system and then add a new hard drive to one of the virtual machines in vSphere BUT must be correctly configured for sharing between multiple virtual machines.

For example, to change the settings > Add > hard drive > create a new virtual disk > choose size and choose 'Thick eager disposition to zero' > under 'Virtual Device Node' choose a "SCSI (1:0)" then finish.

Once the drive has been zero there would stay out in 'Change settings' > click new controller SCSI 1 and choose virtual disks 'Physical' can be shared between virtual machines on any server.

Change the settings of the 2nd virtual machine and choose Add hard drive, choose existing, navigate to which you have created the VM 1 drive, make sure you assign it the same SCSI (1:0).

Thanks a lot a lot a lot for any help in advance

Did you also step on 2 VM below

After the disc has been zero go back outside to 'Change settings' > click new controller SCSI 1 and choose virtual disks 'Physical' can be shared between virtual machines on any server.

  • locked data files

    Hello

I have a problem that when I try to open a database, I get the following error message:

ORA-27086: impossible to the locking file - already in use
    Linux-x86_64 error: 5: input/output error

I deleted the files of .ora lk < sid > in $ORACLE_HOME/dbs.
Is there anything else I can do to unlock these files?

I don't know how this problem started - it was after rename a database, however, the database was working well right up to now.

I restarted the NFS server and the Oracle DB server with no result.

A few times, the NFS server maintains the lock even after a reboot. Judgment of the Oracle database. Then work with your storage administrator to manually remove locks on files on the side NFS. Then you should be able to restart the database.

  • Oracle.exe Guard locks a file connection has been closed.

    Hello

I wrote a windows .net service that monitors a directory for new downloaded files that need to be synchronized with the database. When it detects a new file it moves the file to a different directory from which oracle can reach the file. When the file is moved. I open a connection with the database that is running a select *... on the external table that reads the file. This set works like a charm, and then I have the connection.

Then, I try to move the file again to another directory, because he was treated, but then I got a System.IO.IOException because the file is locked by a process. When I check how it is oracle.exe and stays locked until I cancel my service. When I debug the service I double checked and the status of the connection is closed before I try to move it again. For some reason oracle.exe locks the file until I kill the service that opened the connection.

If I need to give more precise information please ask, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Pieter

Don't you see the same behavior is you select * from sqlplus to instead of the app from the odp, but do not disconnect the sqlplus session?

ODP has worn to default, so even if you close and has the connection, the harsh underlying connection remains open.

I don't know if there is a way to unlock the file without disconnection, which may be the ideal solution, but if not you could probably just turn off connection pooling (pooling = false value in the connection string) to work around.

    It will be useful,

  • ORA-01157: cannot identify/lock data file 6

I work for a school district and recently ran into problems with writing data in a database by using ASP.

    Background:
We are currently running Oracle Database 11 g Release 11.1.0.6.0 - 64 bit Production With the Real Application Clusters on Linux systems option.

We have a workable tablespace/database using our system of management of the school called "Genesis." There is no problem reading, writing or deletion of records through this site web-based application.

    Problem:
I wrote a few ASP pages that read from the 'background' database tablespace that works reliable. The problem is that I created a new tablespace/user/database with two tables that I write for.

If I run a test trying to add new records via my ASP page Let's say 5 times, it cannot work more than 3 of those times.

The error I get is as follows:

    Error Automation Oracle '800a01b8 '.

    Data retrieval error, ORA-01157: cannot identify/lock data file 6 - see the file trace DBWR ORA-01110: data file 6: ' / u01/app/oracle/product/11.1.0/db_1/dbs/ORCL_GENESIS'

    / Parent_Portal/Confirmation.asp, line 40

Looking at the knowledge base (Article NOTE: 268061.1) mentions that there are maybe not ebough available file descriptors. We increase the amount, the same results.

Also, if it's important, it's the code that I use to write to the database:

    Set OraSession = CreateObject ("OracleInProcServer.XOraSession")
    Set OraDatabase = OraSession.OpenDatabase ("ORCL" _
    (' Username/password name', cint (0))

    Set OraDynaset = OraDatabase.CreateDynaset ("SELECT * FROM PARENT_PORTAL.") (The STUDENTS", cint (0))

    OraDynaset.AddNew
    OraDynaset.Fields ("Email"). Value = strEmail
    OraDynaSet.Fields ("STUDENTID"). Value = strStudentID
    OraDynaset.Update

    Set OraDynaset = OraDatabase.CreateDynaset ("SELECT * FROM PARENT_PORTAL.") (Accounts", cint (0))

    OraDynaset.AddNew
    OraDynaset.Fields ("Email"). Value = strEmail
    OraDynaset.Fields ("LASTNAME"). Value = strPLName
    OraDynaset.Fields ("FIRSTNAME"). Value = strPFName
    OraDynaSet.Fields ("PHONE"). Value = strPhone
    OraDynaset.Update

    Set OraSession = Nothing

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

A database is the database files.
An instance is all the processes running on a node.
To the CARS, you have 2 (or more) of the instances that are running on 2 nodes (or more) to access the same database simultaneously.
A node can go down or die or be shot in the head, but the database continues to be available through the second instance on the other node. This is the reason for all of the CARS.

  • Microsoft offers a download to remove a locked dll file

I get access is denied, the file is locked (iTunes offer no. HELP WITH THIS) there are software available but it comes with viruses and other software then install it.

    Good day to you Wunders,.

    Thank you for your time.

DLL locked. files will not remove, you must use a specialized program to delete. I had already tried the unlocker Cedrick Collomb above my AVG security identified a Trojan horse (which is now in my forties) was inside the download. CNET notifies you on this issue, but said no viruses.

I can recommend the first site http://www.ehow.com/how_8526319_delete-locked-dll.html which then leads you to the second site http://www.gibinsoft.net/gipoutils/fileutil/index.htm you leave this window open until the installation is complete, it works very well.

  • How to lock a file?

I would block a file with a passward, then only I can open it...

    is this possible?

I use Vista Edition home basic 32

    Thank you

You really cannot password protect folders with Vista (However, you can protect zipped files/records http://techblissonline.com/how-to-password-protect-zip-files-in-windows-xpwindows-vista/) - which is not one of its features (at least it is not 32-bit Vista Business SP2).

Maybe you don't want a program that hides files password protect.  Here are a few other options that I found.  Some work in various ways (not always password directly) - but they are all designed to protect your files and folders to be read by other people.

Here is a free software that protects files in encrypted them so only people you want to be able to access it can do without seeing just gibberish: http://www.newsoftwares.net/folderlock/.  It does not use a password (just your connection user name rights), but it accomplishes the same goal.  There is also a paid version of this program that, in my view, password protect folders (or the free version can also well - information is not entirely clear).

It's not exactly what you want, but it can serve your needs - you can check it out and see for yourself: http://www.bestvistadownloads.com/software/k-folder-lock-hide-password-protect-private-file-t-free-easy-file-locker-download-thfxsbeu.html.

It's not exactly what you want, but affects the protection of password for the files (in an unusual way): http://www.nirmaltv.com/2008/07/25/password-protect-your-folders-in-windows-with-my-lockbox/.

Here is one that seems to be what you want, but I can't say if it can be isolated from the other features that you may not: http://www.easyfreeware.com/folderdefence_free-38583-freeware.html.

I don't know if you are hosting a web page, but if you do, you can get software password protection free in Exchange for a permanent link to the company being placed on your web page: http://www.protect-folders.com/free.html.  It can also be bought--I don't check the price.

In here's one for $20, which just about everything you'd want from a software folder password protected: http://www.filebuzz.com/fileinfo/5682/Protect_Folder_98.html - but I normally do not recommend software that costs money because it has options (such as the others listed here) who are free and they often work just as good if not better.  I added this just so that you would have a final option if you do not like the others.

This should be enough options to check them out and make a choice (if it meets your needs).  To do exactly what you want (and only that) probably requires commercial software (as above)-if I'm wrong, and one of them can do the job very well.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!
