• Items in locked Documents?

  I used to download items that I wanted to record for some time to the Documents. Then when I no longer need them I put in the trash and empty the trash. Now I can't delete any element of Documents because it says that they are locked. I wanted to remove an item from here for a while, but in the past I could easily remove items from Documents.   The PDF document displayed in your screenshot above is a "protectedpdf" by Vitrium (not Adobe).

  Unfortunately, Adobe Reader mobile (iOS, Android and Windows Phone) applications don't support third-party PDF documents protected by DRM (rights to material management).

  Please use the version of desktop of Adobe Reader on a Windows or Mac computer to open the "protectedpdf".  Sorry for the inconvenience.

  There is not a preference for it. It is possible to use initial values for fields of digital signature, which allows to create a toolbar or of custom menu point button that adds a digital signature field to a page with the values of seeds that would cause the document to be blocked when signed.   You can not give them the same name. You can do something like this, however: that you have a field named Text1 the editable value and a field called Text1Copy where you want to have the same value, but it is locked.

  Text1Copy the value read-only under its properties - general tab, then switch to the tab calculate and enter this code:

  Event.Value = this.getField("Text1").valueAsString;

  After that, whenever the Text1 value will be changed, it will be reflected in Text1Copy.

  Hi, Karen:

  In FrameMaker documents, you can navigate to something that will become a link in a PDF document to its source, with a "hyperclick" on the page entries table of contents and indexes in the generated files and references or hyperlinks not generated documents. A hyperclick is Ctrl + Alt + click. There is no click back. You can lock the FrameMaker documents to make these active links with a single click and use the dos commands and others on the Navigation menu that appears when a locked document is active.

  To lock or unlock a document for the type of hypertext navigation and release these keys in order: F Escape (must be uppercase) l (lowercase ' el' not important 'eye' or number one) k (must be lowercase). I remember as "(F) Island (l) oc (k).»

  Google search for words like 'Lock of FrameMaker for hypertext Documents' and "FrameMaker navigation Menu" without the quotes, for more information on these techniques.

  Part of my job is to create pdf documents, insert maps in pdf format, locking documents to prevent tampering, but that allows you to print and send them to customers.  Recently, I've updated for Adobe Acrobat Standard 11. Since then, I had trouble printing pdf documents, I create; I get an error message "insufficient data for the image. Cards in the document are not displayed, and it cannot be printed. If I re - create the document and do not put the permissions password to this topic, the document is fine. But I have to be able to lock my pdf documents to prevent tampering. Help, please!

• Install VISTA SP2 - all my old documents are "locked by another user.

  I used Windows update to install the Vista SP2 and now all my existing documents came as "locked by another user", or in the case of older documentation and worksheets in read-only or corrupt.  The docs are very good, I can copy it to another machine and they work.  In addition, the file attributes are NOT marked read-only.  Any ideas?  I was going to cancel, but the restoration of the system shows no point of restoration before the update, even if I manually created a Saturday.

  If you cannot make changes to a document, your Word program cannot be enabled, the document can be locked for editing or protected by password, or you could try to modify a document or text in a protected form.

  Note   You cannot edit an open document in Word Viewer, but you can copy text to the Clipboard to paste into other applications.

  This command is not available because the document is locked for editing

  If you see the following message when you try to modify a document in Word 2003 or Word 2002: "this command is not available because the document is locked for editing" your Word program can not be activated. To check, follow these steps:

  • On the help menu, click Activate Product .

    If Word is enabled, a message tells you that the product has already been activated. If Word is not enabled, the Office Activation Wizard appears to guide you through the activation process.

  Note   You can open a Word document, even if the program is not activated, but you cannot use many commands and you cannot save the document.

  The document is locked for editing by another user

  Your document is protected by a password

  If the owner of the protected the document with a password (including a blank password), you might be limited to read-only access unless you enter the password. If you forget or lose a password, you cannot change the document.

  If you see this message at the bottom of the application window when you try to modify a document: "This unauthorized change because the document is locked," the document is protected by a restriction of amendment no changes (read only) or comments in Word 2003 (or a restriction of comments in Word 2002 and Word 2000).   Note   When you open a document protected by Information Rights Management (IRM) in Word 2003, you might have permission to view the document but not to change it.   When I hit the caps lock key on my laptop it deselects the document or program that I am typing. For example, I will try and write 'Hi' and press 'H', so bad press Caps Lock shift, hit caps lock again and press 'i' but it won't type 'i' because as his deselcted the document or program. To solve this problem, I click in the document where I want to seize and exploit. It is not specific to a program in connection with a program her everytime I try and pass a letter uppercase and lower case and vice versa. I hope someone can help!

  If you have the latest drivers and software from the laptop maunfacturer installed I suggest that, as it is a problem of keyboard with all the programs that you contact the manufacturer of the laptop or ask their support forums
