Locked user account

We just have to upgrade to Oracle. I have one of the three usernames that cannot connect to. I get:

An error occurred during the connection:
Type: java.sql.SQLException error Code: 28000 SQL State: 99999
Message: ORA-28000: the account is locked

I had a tech person trying to connect with the wrong password. I tried to unlock the account with:

change the xxxxxxx user account unlock;

He says that the user has been changed, but I still get the same error message. What Miss me?

Thank you

HII...

The values in the default profile limits seems to be Ok. Although you can try changing the FAILED_LOGIN_ATTEMPTS to unlimited.

change the default profile limit failed_login_attempts unlimited;

Test again the administration with the password utilities.

  • Locked user account, administrator access

My user account on my laptop had its password changed without my permission, and there is no option to access the administrator account from the logon screen. If you are unable to connect to Windows 7 or Windows Vista, you can use the Windows Vista System Restore feature, or the Windows 7 system restore feature.

You may be unable to connect to Windows Vista or Windows 7 in the following scenarios:

    • Scenario 1: You recently set a new password for the protected administrator account. However, you don't remember the password.
    • Scenario 2: You type the correct password. However, Windows Vista or Windows 7 does not accept the password because the system is damaged.
    • Scenario 3: You delete a protected administrator account. Now, you cannot connect to another administrator account.
    • Scenario 4: You change an administrator account protected with a standard user account. Now, you cannot connect to another administrator account.

  • Password accepted but does nothing (admin) user. Locked user account? How can I register as a Admin to change?

Had problems with Solution Explorer. While changing this and that, I blocked the user accounts. My password is not rejected, but does nothing. How can I get as long as a tool fix my problem?

If you have an installation of Vista DVD (not a recovery DVDs), you can start the system with it. Select the default language, then select "repair your computer". Then select "Command Prompt". At the command prompt, type:

NET user administrator / Active: Yes [press Enter]
[Note: do not enter the brackets!]

If you do not have a Vista installation DVD (only have a recovery disk), the computer mftr. may have given you the option to repair Vista (not a system recovery!) system in the diagnostic menu. This menu of diagnosis is the same one where you can choose Safe Mode. Get to this menu by repeatedly pressing the F8 key as the computer starts. If you do not have this option, you can make a bootable Vista file repair DVD in this link:

    http://NeoSmart.net/blog/2008/Windows-Vista-recovery-disc-download/

Note: All the Neosmart recovery disk downloads are torrent files. There is a good explanation of the torrent on the site Web of Neosmart files. You will need a torrent as muTorrent client to get the files. Torrent client will download the .iso file with which to create the bootable DVD. You will need to use third-party burning software such as Nero, Roxio or the free ImgBurn (http://www.imgburn.com ) to burn the image .iso image file, not in the form of data.

Remove the installation/rescue DVD and restart the computer. Now, you will be able to log on to the built-in Administrator compatible account now and make your changes. Once you have fixed things, connect to your additional administrative account (implemented by the recommendations below) and disable the administrator built-in again for security reasons.

Start Orb > Search box > type: cmd
When cmd appears in the above results, right-click and choose "Run as Administrator" [OK]. Now, you will get the command prompt. At the command prompt, type:

NET user administrator / active: No. [Enter]

    Exit the command prompt.

General recommendations for creating users in Vista:

You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all the other modern operating systems, Vista is a multi-user system with integrated system of accounts as default Administrator and comments. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

In particular, you do not want one account user with administrative privileges on Vista because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult.  It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but there may be more that you want to do. Better not to put you in a bad situation at first.

The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. As a user Standard is recommended for security reasons and will help protect your computer against infections. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

  • Locked user account and connect on demand

Hi, any omniscient! :) I'm sorry for my bad English, but I have a question.

Why is able to connect to an Application user using Builtin ApEx Authentication Scheme, when this user's account is locked? We see that in the ApEx 3.1, 3.2 (and I think, ApEx 3.2.1 has builtin regime too).

As a workspace admin Home > Administration > manage Services > Set Workspace Preferences and ensure that the account Expiration and locking is set to enable.

  • How to keep a locked user account after Idle

My current workplace just upgraded to Windows 7 for most of our computers from the workspace, and with computers communial there is now a problem where if a user doesn't log out and leave the computer hangs on their account on the login screen from which allows us to change user. Hard reboot the computer it unlocks and allows to change username, but given that some of the computer towers are located in other areas at the office, it can be irritating. What are the settings we have to change in order to prevent computers snaps and instead of us giving the ability to simply change user if someone forgets to sign out?

  • Windows SteadyState and MSE for locked user? Locked user _save files on the desktop? Add the locked user language

I use Microsoft Windows XP SP3 and Microsoft Security Essentials.

    I did 2 locked users:

User has locked protected with Microsoft Security Essentials, cause seems MSE is not protect this account, and I can't be sure because of the locked account cannot see even if it is protected, I put MSE on startup but that does not put MSE icon on the taskbar. If it is not protected is not a good cause for the idea that the user navigates Net.

  • Blocked from my user account.

How can I get rid of the requirement for the administrator?  I did something called my current user - me - as an administrator and I can not enter my user account.  I have to use the comments.  Of course, I have no password because there wasn't ANY administator and suddenlty there.

It happened when I was doing 'improvements' Explorer 9 - he go so messed up, I had to do a restore and now I have no idea of what I have, but I'm afraid to do something different.  I use the 'Guest' user because I can't open my user account.  As you know this means I can't access my files.

Somehow in this process he appointed me, Gerney Lee, as administrator.

Hi, you could go to mode safe mode with networking

How to: restart the computer, while the computer restarts continue to hit the F8 key > and then you will see a screen black with a title "advanced startup option" you'll see there select Safe mode with network, and then press ENTER. Once the computer started in safe mode with network you will have 2 useraccount, yours and admin (pass not required by default in safe mode) > using the admin on safe mode, you can create another user account that has admin Privilege, then you can access your files from the locked user account.

and also if you think that IE9 is the problem again on safe mode, you can go to add/remove programs, and then uninstall it.

  • User evolution ORA-06550 APEX 4.1.1 with the internal admin user account

    Hello

I don't know when this error came first, but when I try to change the properties of a user in the workspace with the 'internal' working space ADMIN user, I get the follwing error:
ORA-06550: line 86, column 7: PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol “IF” when expecting one of the following: ; <an identifier> <a double-quoted delimited-identifier> The symbol “IF” was ignored. ORA-06550: line 90, column 1: PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol “END”
In my case, I tried to unlock a locked user account. It's used to work before!

Note: to work around the problem, I managed to unlock the user account with another admin user created in the same workspace as the locked user...

Is this a bug since 4.1.1?

    Hi Matthias,

    Thanks for the information.

The Group of patches to update a clob column in our metadata. The clob itself string is syntactically correct, it's why you didn't see any errors during the installation. However, within the chain, there is a space character where a line break should be at the end of a single-line comment:

    -- ...comment...
    -- ...comment... if :P23_ADMIN = 'Y' then
      ...
    end if;

    Instead of

    -- ...comment...
    -- ...comment...
    if :P23_ADMIN = 'Y' then
      ...
    end if;

Block PL/SQL that ran on submit, and now the 'end if' missing have 'if', where the runtime error.

We've just uploaded a fix for this bug (13878034) to support, it should be available very soon.

  • 'File name' is locked for editing by 'Client', why not show the correct user account

A .xls file created by MS Excel 2003 and saved on the server files (Windows Server 2008 R2 without Service Pack).

We have two users: A and c. accounts of A and C join same above file server's domain. A approval of the admin on the server, C is a common user. The version of MS Excel on the pc is 2010, although it is 2003 for C.

C tries to open a file on the server and it has the change permission on the file and the file, however, the file is locked for editing by 'administrator '. For the moment, no one opens this file, so which is 'Administrator'?

    More tests:

    (1) once A open file C is reached, there is message: file is locked for editing by 'Client', so why shows 'Client' instead of a correct domain account?

    (2) after C opens the file and then A is reached, there is message: file is locked for a domain C user account. So it seems OK.

  • All locked or disabled to restart user accounts

I was faced with a problem with my user accounts getting locked out/disabled every time that I reboot my system. I can't start in safe mode, I can't run the system restore, I can't do anything but run a startup disk that will allow me to unlock locked accounts and remove the passwords so now that I'm stuck without the disc I'm totally locked out of my system.

I am not connect to any network or something like that so they aren't locking me. I think it's Windows or a virus, but I've scanned several times my virus from the system.

I realize maybe there's not much I can do until I have retrieve the boot disk, but I want to solve this problem, so it is not keep happening to me.

  • Lock the accounts of users without apparent reason

I have a XP laptop with several user accounts that require a password to connect.  Some of these accounts are defined for the user to change the password at the next logon.  The rest of them have already been modified by the user.  I have a user account with admin further rights to access the built-in Administrator account.

When I started to work on this computer, check the status of all these accounts.  Often, some or most of them is locked.  I unlock all accounts and then do my work.  Before I stop I double-check these accounts and sometimes a lot of these accounts have already locked.  My own user account also locks and I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL twice on the screen to enter the built-in account.

Local policy is set for the passwords expire after 180 days and for account lockout after 3 attempts.  The accounts that have recently been consulted properly are being locked.  Any ideas?
