Locks of Lightroom on loading

I only got 6 Lightroom for a few weeks, but I had to reinstall 3 times so far. When I click to start it opens at the beginning, but the middle is absent and the mouse cursor is this thing of waiting for spinning. I left 20 minutes so far and no change and when I go to close Windows asking you if I want to find a solution. (Which Windows cannot ever find anyway...)
This is a common problem with an easy solution does anyone know?

Hi howmanypigginnamesdoitry,

Suggest you to update to Lightroom to 6.4: keeping up-to-date for Lightroom

If this does not help, please share the crash logs so that we know the cause of the accident/gel: Photoshop Elements Editor Help. How to find the crash logs on to Windows

Kind regards

Since this week when Lightroom opens a catalog or even when a new catalog is created Lightroom displays "loading" and then finally said "Lightroom has encountered a problem with the (new) catalog and verify catalog when it starts up next." Hello

After exhausting all other options I finally managed to fix in any first uninstall Lightroom, by removing the corrupt catalog and then by removing completely all Lightroom of the whole registry keys. Restarted my PC and reinstalled LR6 a moment while it is important to the photos again, it finally loads cr2 files correctly, only a little slow now that it is always important to photographs (it takes about 7 hours), but I am sure that the problem is resolved.

    Thank you for your support

  • Locking files Lightroom

I want to use Lightroom 2 + separate work stations and edit files on a server. If I open a file server JPG file on a workstation for editing, it blocks the file and prevent the other workstation to modify the same file? Or it will at least give me a warning message that the file is in use?

Lightroom does not lock files nor does it give a warning that he is already accessed. Thus, the two instances of Lr may access the same file at the same time. It only becomes a problem when the user tries to save the settings/developing metadata in the file of each instance of Lr. That is to say, we're going to crush the other. However, given that the original image is a JPEG I'm not sure there is much point savings development parameters in the file.

  • PC crashed during 6 start Lightroom. Now open habit. Can not find the lock file

    Hello.

My PC stops inexplicably while Lightroom 6 began and then just rebooted. (Windows 7 i7 PC)

Now Lightroom does not start and a "Catalog Adobe" said dialog box could not be opened because another application has already opened it.

A quick search on the internet said the locking file must delete, but I'm not. An Adobe help page shows me:[username]\Pictures\Lightroom\Lightroom 5 Catalog.lrcat.lock C:\Users\

First of all, I'm on LR6 and my start up programs are on a small SSD. So if I navigate on this hard drive, then program file Adobe\Adobe Lightroom I see many files, then a may list files. None gives me a clue to what is a lock file or look like lrcat.lock.

I'm not very savy on a PC and would be grateful of urgent assistance. I tried to uninstall the program and then reinstall, but in vain.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi andys62004617,

lock file is located in the exact location as well as your catalog.

Search under Pictures\Lightroom\ Catalog.lock of Lightroom and delete (do not remove the .lrcat files because it's your main catalog)

  • Lightroom 4 didn t start

    Hallo from Germany,

my 4.4 Lightroom on Windows 7 didn t start, no error message, it's just didn t start.

In other Threads, a help, I tried:

    -Lightroom 4 Preferences.agprefs deleted

    -Removed Lightroom.lrcat.lock

    -Lightroom.lrcat - journal removed

    -Full install Lightroom

    all this without success...

    Any Idea´s?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

try to remove/rename the folder of user comlete LR (% appdata%\adobe\Lightroom) and then restart LR.

Try to start whille LR, hold down the CTRL key. LR should request the catalogue load and provides an integrity check (right button). Try this. With dubbing try to create a new catalog.

Take a look in your event Manager (Ereignisanzeige) to find out why lr crashes.

  • I have problems with the standalone version of Lightroom 6.

I have a problem with Lightroom 6 - so much trouble that I'm currently impossible to use.

(1.), I bought the standalone version of Lightroom 6 - CC No. I bought the disc, not a download.

    (2) I installed and used for months without any problem.

    (3) when I clicked on the icon on the desktop to open it - about three weeks ago, I got a message that I could buy (1) or (2) try it for 30 days. Of course, I couldn't choose one of these options because two of them would require me to pay for the program, either immediately, or within 30 days, if I wanted to continue to use it. If I deleted this message, Lightroom would not open. So, I was locked out Lightroom even though I had already paid for it.

    (4) given that I got the disc, I decided to reinstall Lightroom. This allowed me to use Lightroom again. I've been using this new facility without problem for several weeks; However, when I clicked on the icon of the office tonight to open Lightroom, I got the same message again: buy it or agree to a 30 day trial. So, I'm locked again.

    (5) I decided to install again. I managed to install the program on the disk; However, when I tried to open Lightroom, I received the message (not the exact wording): "you have installed Lightroom on computers too ' or maybe it was ' you used this serial number for facilities too - something along those lines." (I can't raise the message again, or I'll give you the exact wording). So now I'm completely locked.

    (6) before these challenges, I got Lightroom installed on my main desktop and on a laptop that I used when I travel. That's two facilities, and I installed twice on my desktop computer to try to circumvent the problems described above. However, I carefully watched my installed programs and there seems to have only a single installation of Lightroom 6 - no step three.

(8.) I would like any suggestions to fix this mess.

    Thank you.

    Roger

    Hi Roger,

My apologies for the trouble you've had to go through.

I've updated your records and you should be able to use your license now.

When you receive the message about the trial or a 30 day program, you should be able to choose the "Software license" option and activate using your key in order to to use without getting to re-setup.

  • Sync button crashing of Lightroom.

Sync button in module development started to lock up Lightroom. No updates had been done before the start of the question. Update to the latest version to try and fix. Uninstalled and re-insalled Lightroom and still have the same problem. How can I fix it?

Try reseting your preferences file.    It works in the CRD and Lr6

  • Lightroom CC crashes when you use the second monitor

I use Lightroom CC on a core 6 2010 Mac Pro with 24 GB of RAM and the application running on an SSD with OS10.9.5.

Until the other day, I've been using Lightroom 5.7.

I have two NEC 24 "monitors connected to my computer.

I paid about $1,000 for each, and I was happy with their color rendering and performance.

In the last two weeks, I had repeatedly when Lightroom stops working.

Usually after using edit in Photoshop command, or creating a web gallery, once the order has been issued, LR will go to one screen and frozen at this time, most of the controls does not work. Then I have to select exit from the menu and reopen the application. Needless to say it's a lousy way to work.

Tonight, I discovered that if I run Lightroom on a monitor, the gel that happens after having a web gallery, or help edit in Photoshop, does not happen. However, if I start with just one monitor, use edit in Photoshop, then click to use my second monitor, then frost.

Having 2 monitors is very useful, so having to limit myself to 1 monitor is pretty disappointing, not to mention a waste of investment.

I've been using Lightroom 5 long on this system without these problems.

I installed Lightroom CC as a way to solve my problem.

But there is the same problem with it.

I thought about updating the operating system to 10.11, but I expect to do.

I've read of people having problems with OS 10.11 (El Capitan), and I need to upgrade backup software, if I switch to 10.11.

It seems to me that there may be some type of bug or problem with Lightroom and the Mac OS when it comes to use 2 monitors.

Everyone knows this freeze or lock up Lightroom?

Has anyone else had him freezes related to the use of two monitors?

    Can anyone suggest a solution?

A Mac savvy friend suggested that I create a new user account to see if the problem of gel with the second monitor would also with a new user account.

I created a new user account, and Lightroom works fine.

Then, I had to migrate all the settings for the various programs to the new user.

I also decided to improve the operating system of 10.9 Mavericks at El Captian, 10.11.

I also changed 5.7 Lightroom at Lightroom CC 2015.

All these computing has taken a lot of time, but now everything works fine.

  • Location of lock FDMEE

    All the Experts,

you know how to lock the location during the integration of data from launch in FDMEE as FDQM?

In the latest release of FDQM (i.e. 11.1.1.3) there is the option to lock the location when loading data starts and below in the Workbench displays the label "locked."

There is the same feature in FDMEE as FDQM?

    Thank you in advance.

I would recommend using Jython now :-)

  • My performance of the Lightroom Develop Module does not work correctly.

My performance of Lightroom is not great.  After you have installed the appropriate NVIDIA, GeForce card GTX 970 graph with 4 Gig of Ram, Windows 10 (latest version) with 32 Gig RAM and the latest version of Lightroom CC (2015.3), I am always facing update slow in the develop module image.  The software does not remember the excerpts that I created (1:1).  Whenever I click on a photo of the flows, the share of the image of being clear-> blur-> to clear, which take about 15-20 seconds.  This happens even though I have already generated previews 1:1 for all images in the catalog.  I need help to set the settings so that I can have a good experience with lightroom.

I tried to follow some recommendations:

    1. leave a 160 Gig camera Raw Cache framework

    2. install an SSD for the start and placed the catalog Lighttroom and Cache folder under the default Images directory, under the my account profile

    3. has created a new catalog that is less than a few LIVE in size

I uninstalled Lightroom CC.  renamed the Lightroom to my profile folder, rebooted the PC.  Reinstalled lightroom CC, choose to create a new lightroom catalog, any of a local session of my C:\ Image folder.  The behavior is the same.  Lightroom does not remember previews and continuous 'loading' and make turn the wheel little whenever I click on an image of the band.  It's crazy...

You're clicking on between images in the Strip to develop? The develop module does NOT use 1:1 previews. Those that are used only in the library. Develop, Lightroom must load the raw file and return each time, this isn't a good solution to quickly go through images to work to develop. It should take a few seconds to fully make a new raw image loaded it depending on the size of your images are. If you want to speed up switching to develop image there are solutions. One is a raw cache big camera, that you already use and secondly to disable acceleration of graphics card, which, if enabled, slows down the initial loading. Finally, you must ensure that you are the 2015.3 or the 2015.1.1, and that you do not have 2015.2. Version 2 had several bugs that could slow this process terribly.

15-20 seconds is extremely long for this process of loading in my experience. I can't get it to be slow on a much less powerful system than if the files are > 500 MB high resolution stitched tiff files. Not with RAW files (I pull a 24 Megapixel). If they are raw files, something is wrong. You have turned off the facial recognition?
