Just curious about it. If records are locked say read committed or rmw under txn affecting their strategy of crowding out somehow? If yes - it different for different types of locks taken?

No, expulsion is not influenced by locks Records. However, a record (IE LN or BIN) is not expelled when a cursor is currently positioned on it.

    Hi, I have a Lenovo Y510p, i7-4700MQ, 8.1 Windows x 64, 8 GB of RAM, Intel Wireless-N 7260... My goal is to record my guitar in Audacity. Really simple, uh?... that's what I thought.

    The "Mic / to the front panel" is activated when I connect my guitar to the Jack (of course, I connect it through the amp, with distortions and effects).

    The "Microphone" option is for the build-in microphone, next to the webcam.

    Well, I turn on the 'Listen to this device' option in the control panel of the 'before' Mic (taken), so when I record my guitar, I can listen.

    So, I plug in my guitar, and as it should be, I start listening to it via my laptop speakers. Everything is OK except for one thing, there is DELAY!

    In my old laptop 8 years it is low-end, I can do this without any delay, but my new Lenovo powerful, I was late... WTH?

    I read that old laptops are capable of "hardware playthrough" the sound you record, but in new, you can only use the option "listen to this device", which is "software playthrough" and that the delay with it.
    So, what is the point of hardware playthrough unable?
    I can't not material speed it up?
    How in the hell is my old laptop better save my guitar than this portable multimedia high-end $1000?

    Just go to the speakers properties, then LEVEL tab and there is an option for hardware playthrough, so you can listen to what you save without delay.

  • Records of Vista Media Center starts and stops at the wrong time

    I use Windows Vista Home Premium, SP1 and that you may have noticed that when I schedule recordings for some a particular channel, Media Center starts 2 minutes beforehand and ends 2 minutes in advance.  This affects only shows record from my local affiliate Fox - all other shows for other strings start and stop at the appropriate time.

    I checked the system clock with the start times of the shows and both are correct.  In fact, I saw one day Media Center started to record for a show that did not begin until 08:00 at 19:58 (according to the system time).  I had my TV on at the same time and was able to verify that the program in question had not yet begun, so the flow of the internet was sychned with the dissemination of local transmission.

    It's very frustrating because I miss the end of some shows and cannot always extend registration ends because I'm ordering another channel, the next hour.

    I have the same problem with the FOX network...

    -1 make sure your clock automaticly sets in the internet and update once by pressing the link (which makes that he can see the time server)...

    Yes, the padlock icon means that the folder is private nothing for you to see.  To avoid cluttering up the complete file with several icons of lock, the lock displays if this is the first folder level as private for yourself.  So if the parent folder was a lock, the folder below would not show the lock more because he has already known and assumed to be private.

    If the short answer: set up a folder and set the folder parent to share with > draw and the lock will be move up to the next level.

I have problems with NWN2 (game) game progression involving lost (i.e. the areas on the map that I had been just disappearing leaving me stuck in a certain area, not able to leave. So I reset the security settings by default with the indications of this page. Then re-installed NWN2 and do not have any problems.
    But how is it that the folders in my documents are the property of (System) and NWN2 is not? Do you think he was not able to define it's self that will be owned by user/administrator, the first time I installed the game because of some security settings, I had, but had to be to work properly?

    The issue slipped because you set the default security settings. Your efforts to solve this problem is appreciated.

    However, you can change the permissions of the user for folder of NWN2. To do so follow these steps:

    Step 1: Take ownership

    a. in the Properties window, go to the Security tab and click Advanced.

    b. now, go to the owner tab. Here you can see the current owner of this folder. If your user name is not the owner, click on change. If you have active user account control, press OK.

    c. the owner window, click other users or groups.

    d. now, you must type the user name or the Group of users who will take ownership of the selected folder. If you type 'Administrators' you will give ownership to all users who are administrators on your PC. If you want to give the property only your username, type your user name. After that, press on check names.

    e. If the user or group has been found on your computer, you will see that the text you entered has been changed to [name of your PC]------[user] or [name of your PC]------[group]. If Yes, press OK.

    f. If the user/group is not found, you will receive a name not found error window. Make the necessary corrections and try again.

    g. in the owner window, select the user/group that you just added, select Replace owner of sub containers and objects and press OK.

    h. now, you will receive confirmation that you have taken possession of the record. Press OK and that's it.

    Step 2: Changing permissions

    a. in the Properties window, click the Security tab and click on modify.

    b. If you are not on the list of users or groups who have permissions defined, you must click Add. If your user or group is on this list, select it, click on allow full control and then press OK.

    c. now you must type the user name or the user group that you want to change permissions. If you type 'Administrators' will give you permissions to all users who are administrators on your PC. If you want to give permissions only to your user name, type your user name. After that, press on check names, and then click OK.

    d. If the user/group is not found, you will receive a name not found error window. Make the necessary corrections and try again.

    e. in the Security window, select the user/group, you just added, and then click on allow full control and click OK.

    Please do not hesitate to answer, in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

    I think what sb92075 meant, is that only 1 session is able to correctly lock line one table at a time, but you could have several sessions tent to lock the same line. When you determine that if you have 10 sessions, you must find 10 sessions with the same values TYPE ID1 and ID2 in V$ LOCK with 9 or more with a REQUEST value greater than 0. I'm just curious, demand all bitmap indexes?

    Hello! I sought an answer to my problems for the past two weeks, but I'm not able to find another that a type solution work around very manual so I am here!
    To stop the pager to jump to 3:00, so I can investigate matters, I hope that you geniuses will be able to help.


    I have a problem where a solution out-of-box is built to manage locks very badly.
    I don't have the source code, so I can't change the application.
    What happens is:

    (1) a user accesses the application and changes a record.
    The application crashes the record in the database and this line lock does not expire.

    (2) criticism of the process starts and creates another lock who waits indefinitely for record locked in 1 free.

    Use of tables of $ v I found that I can see the lock created in 1 and I see the lock created 2 waits for the lock 1.
    I built a process to contact the offending user ([email protected]), and also support page to address the issue because it will be very, very quickly lost productivity if the lock is not resolved. It is a very temporary solution, but is not the answer!

    The first lock to expire (I hope) maybe offering an ORA-return error to the application. I tried to kill the sid and it works too, but the application responds a bit funny. What about lock wait timeout values? It seems that they are session based so I can't edit the session that we have not the source code, or what I can? Anyone of you geniuses have ideas?

    -Do you want to pay for an upgrade to Froyo?

    -Do you want to pay for a future update, it was an option?

    -How the locked bootloader affect you?

    Hello world! I am completely new to MP3 players, I say that from the beginning, but I am a member of several forums, so I don't know how it works.  I recently bought a refurbed e250 and seem to have problems. I have read the forums for about 2 hours now, but still to come in white, it is so why I write.

    Read here and looking at the back of my drive, it seems that I have a V1. When I connect to the computer, all I get is the pop for 'Autoplay - (L) Removable Disk", to collect my computer is not recognizing my drive.

    Reading the forums that I saw several times change my player mode MSC or MTP mode when the connection, but I do not have these options. When I go into my settings, I have 2 USB modes listed; USB - HID, which, if I get that I have the option of YES or no. Mode USB keyboard, which, if I go home, I have the multimedia Mode options, presentation Mode, Mode or browser or mouse. I went through all that and still get the same pop up on my pc.

    I also read to switch my player to lock (the button next to the headphone jack) and hold down button rewind connecting to the pc force in fashion, and that does not work either.

    I read also to switch to lock, press and hold the record button during the connection to reset the player, and that doesn't work anymore.

    I mention also, Rockbox installed on my drive there.

    I downloaded the firmware driver, and is not fimd my player either.

    Of course, that my drive does not work, I am able to listen to music, I can also listen to music on a memory card. I was not able to display photos or videos on my drive but. If I insert a video on my player, it will play sound but not video.

    So after all it hits, someone has another option, I can try to get my pc to find my drive? Oh yes, I've tried different USB ports as well as with no luck.

    If I leave it to the experts, can someone connect?

    The burning question here is the factor of Rockbox.  Gere most readers see some bizarre information in your message, especially if they are not Rockbox running.

    USB functionality has always been a little unpredictable when Rockbox is at stake.  For awhile, the player has been implemented to start in the original firmware for USB connectivity.  I have a lot of hours with original firmwares, but Rockbox is a bit challenging for me, because I spend the lion's share of my free time to work with the original SanDisk residing in my players code.

    The drive works normally when executing his own?  It seems that you are running in Rockbox.  Was the player shipped to you with the generation of Rockbox responsible?  If Yes, this is the first time I've heard.

    I'm working on forms 11g (11.1.4) on windows, I saw when user exit (directly close the browser) does not the good functioning of the application it is session show an active session of forms in the FMW and also the database session are also active.

    This led to the question of locking, eg.user A updated recording and before committing there disconnect because of the failure of the network and for he reconnection and trying to update the same record there watch the lock by another user.

    Is anyway to automatically kill the session of forms in the FMW when the user disconnect?

    In General, when the browser is closed an attempt to have the JRE send a final message on the server telling, is that his client is being closed. This allows to make a clean stop down. This behavior has evolved over time and works better in newer versions.     So I tied first Pro cs6 in after composition affects CS6. Last night, I was working on it, everything was fine, I exported a test copy and that worked, everything was great for the night and I saved and closed. Tried to re - open the project this morning in Premier Pro and it would not load, so I opened after affects and I get the following error messages. I am able to load other projects successfully, and I do not to move any assets after that I closed last night programs. I tried to restart and reload several times and I get the same error messages constantly. I sought advice for similar problems and found some possible solutions #1 'use capslock at the opening of the modernization project to delete. Then re - make the effects that are causing problems. I tried this and it doesn't seem to work, but I can't have done it correctly, I simply pressed caps lock shift and made sure it's on when I clicked on the project to load, however I got the same errors. #2 delete the cache for the project and the new rendering. I can't locate the files in cache for this project in the affects on the record, is this referring to the cache files in Premiere Pro? I admit I'm a little afraid to do...
