logon error message, XP Home Edition

I am running XP Home Edition on a netbook.

I was trying to avoid the logon screen by following this procedure:

Windows XP - solution 1:

  • Select run from the Start Menu, type control userpasswords2, and then click Ok.
  • Turn off the option that users must enter a user name and password to use this computer , and then click Ok.

Rather than avoid the login screen I get
(1) first a dialog box entitled Message of Longon that says "system could not log.  Make sure your username and domain are correct, then type your password again.  Letters in passwords must be entered using the proper case. "In this dialog box is another who is labeled on Windows with username: administrator and password:...   I can't activate this dialog box.

(2) when I hit OK or close the login screen appears telling me to click on my user name.  My name is the only choice.

In Control Panel/user accounts, there is only "my name/Coupter administrator" and "comments/comments accont is off" listed.  I have no password for this netbook computer.

How can I get rid of the first dialog box, and then get rid of the logon screen?

Thanks for any help.

I solved the problem myself.  I restarted control userpasswords2 and I noticed that there was an Admintrator account in addition to my personal account.  I tried to delete the administrator account with no luck.  Then I went to change password and created a (new) password for the account of the tool.

Reboot the machine and my problem was solved.

I guess I could remove my personal account, leaving the Admintrator account and then rename this account to something like my name and then have only one account.  But, hey, he currently works so I think I'm going to leave it alone.

Hello, can someone give me help with a problem I have with OE6.
This problem happens only from Sunday 15, prior to that, everything worked fine. I get the following message about the ports 25 and 110 - no, error Socket Error: 10061 no 0x800CCC0E - OE does and cannot send or receive mail. I checked on the Microsoft Update site and they seem to blame programs like Norton etc. anti-anti-virus/spam for the problem or parameters of EO, but as there has been no change for the last six months in my computer why this suddenly start to occur? After updating my Windows XP service pack 2 on the "service pack 3", everything works fine but when I press the button 'TOSHIBA controls' and 'mouse' for setting, Windows error message occure: "run a dll as an app"!

Even if I go to "Start" and "Control Panel" and press the mouse, after setting close icon, or just simply do nothing (cancel), the same message! I did not notice any other problem with the TOSHIBA utility!
My driver for mouse is "Logitech mouse ware, 9.40! Can you help me?

This oldie works well with Windows XP SP2 home edition and in my opinion you should use without SP3. Try to remove the SP3, and I hope that everything will work properly again. Problem is that the old tools and utilities designed for Toshiba probably aren't tested and updated to SP3.

I have more Satellite M70 and use sill with SP3. I don't want to risk anything and have problems.

Have you tried using Anytime Upgrade?

If the license for Windows 7 Professional, you have access to is a retail version update or complete, you can use the product key and the Express upgrade from Windows 7 Home Basic to Windows 7 Professional. First of all, check that the edition of Windows 7, you are upgrading is already enabled (if it isn't, you will encounter complications and that you might start all by performing a clean installation). Click Start, type Anytime Upgrade, click on the option enter a key, enter the key of Windows 7 Professional on demand, click Next, wait while checking the key, accept the license agreement, click on upgrade, wait while the software upgrades, (it may take 10 minutes or more depending on the if updates are required) your computer restarts automatically, after the reboot, Windows 7 will notify you updating the computer, the computer will restart once more automatically and will be completed the upgrade, a window will appear notifying the upgrade was successful and your computer is ready to use, click Close, you should be upgraded to Windows 7 Professional your files, programs and settings retained.

  • Error code of reading on windows xp home edition. The error code is fffffc02. Someone knows how to fix this?

I am trying to reinstall windows xp home edition on my laptop after I dumped everything and I get an error that says: "the signature for windows xp home edition Setup is invalid. Hello 2009 poster... Welcome to 2011 and I'm sure by now that you have bought a new computer or obtained the answer elsewhere.

This is in short, that I just got this error working on a disk recovery & Dell laptop.

This is probably due to read/write to the CD/DVD drive.  It's very annoying and simply a file library, catalogue missed reading it will mess this!

Error & you can get there... I get closer and closer each time.

I think this guy CD-ROM drive is odd OR even better the quality of the recovery disc might be off too.

Other errors are too 0xfffffc02 | fffffc02 - and read the newspapers it is always a mistake in the reading of a file.

I just got this new while typing, but I was in there last time - 15 minutes so you can see the weird nature of it.

    Error loading \3\DLBUtime.dll

I have a Dell computer that came with Windows XP Home edition.  When I start my computer the monitoring of ERROR appears: RUNDLL error loading specified not found \3\DLBUtime.dll module

I just click 'ok' and he goes, but, as for what it stop popping up everytime I start my computer.

Can someone help me with this?

    Aprilm,

You are LuLu5119, who posted a question last August?

If this isn't the case, you should have started your own thread.  If so (and even if not), you should have responded to questions about Dell printers.

Assuming that you complain of a "Error loading \3\DLBUtime.dll" message that appears when you start your computer, you should know that the DLBUtime.dll file probably has something to do with the software from Dell which has been partially deleted, but could also be indicative of malware as well as partially withdrawn.

In both cases, the best way for start you to prevent the message at windows is to download Autoruns http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

Install the Autoruns and let it complete the scan of your computer.  Then click on the "Connection" tab and uncheck the following entry:

Look for an entry that has 'DLBUCATS' in the first column.  If you do not see that, look for "rundll32 \3\dlbutime.dll" in the last column ("path of the Image).

Uncheck that entry, close Autoruns and restart your computer.  You should get is no longer the message.

If for any reason, you find later that you need dlbutime.dll running, run Autoruns and check the box. If you decide that you need never again, run Autoruns, right-click on the entry and select Delete.

As General precautionary measure, in case your entry dlbutime.dll was related to malicious software, rather than the Dell printing software, download the following free scanners:

    MalwareBytes Anti-Malware: http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware Portable: http://superantispyware.com/portablescanner.html

For MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, download, install, update and run.
For Portable SAS, follow the instructions on the Web page (note that the instructions assume that you use a different computer to download; if you're not, just make a note of the name of the file).
