Look of thumbnails of the layer like paint brushes, why?

I have 10 elements and have encountered the problem to have all the thumbnails in the layers panel to research as brushes in a little box rather than a picture of what is happening in the layer. No one knows what might happen?

Thank you

Sharon

Looks like somehow, you have the thumbnail layer content set to None.

Click the square of four twice in the upper right corner of the layers panel, and choose Panel Options. The radio button for the size of the thumbnails is normally placed in the middle.

    From what I remember of the CS6, it's the same CC follow these steps: in the layers palette, click on Panel options

  • How to change the thumbnail of the layer "half-moon" to a graph

    I noticed in some of my images, the Tile layers - the black & white circle between the visibility of the layer and the layer - mask is not a circle but a graph. How can I change from one to the other?

    I can understand the chart, but what is the circle that is supposed to represent?

    It's a question of the size of layer thumbnails, if they are set too small, all adjustment layers turn in this circle. Select Options in the layer menu panel, panels and change the size of the thumbnails

  • can not select or modify the layer in CS5.1 extended mask

    In our class, we have photoshop CS5 on Mac

    I started a class project, which involves the creation of a layer mask. I was about done with the mask, but brought home at the end I opened the file on my WIN XP works photoshop CS5.1 extended, which I installed this morning. In class, I was able to click on the mask to select, then use the brush to change the details, the white or black paint if necessary to refine the edge.

    When I put the original .psd file and opened in the new version of Photoshop, it doesn't allow me to select the mask for the edition. I selected the layer and then clicked on the thumbnail of the mask in the pallet layer but didn't see the contours of the corner, which usually appear when the thumbnail of the layer is selected. When I tried brushing up on what I thought, it was the mask (on the selected layer), I got the pink overlay as usually seen in the quick mask. (foreground and background are black and white colors).

    V5.1 behaves differently with masks of v5.0? I do not change the factory default settings and in the classroom, it is a common practice to restore the value by default when you start.

    any ideas?

    It is not supposed to be a difference in how Photoshop CS5.1 works compared to CS5.

    Normally, you click on the layer mask icon in the LAYERS Panel, you see the contour change, then paint you on the mask.

    If you don't see quick out frozen, what happens if you press Q, then clear any selection and click on the layer mask icon again?

    Hey guys

    I'm working on a project in AE that involves the green screen.

    I'm having a problem with the COMPOSITION of PRE. Please keep in mind that I have done about 0 video and HAVE NOT suffered this problem so far.

    the "Adjust composition duration the duration of the selected layers to ' in the dialog of Pre-composed was only introduced in CC if you CS6 and that you want to dial prior to the duration of the layer, you must take the long road that is:

    1. your layer should be cut like that

    2. While the layer is selected, you type Cmd + Alt + B so the work area be cut to the layer like this:

    3. you dial before with these settings:

    4. in your demo, you right-click on the work area and select "Trim Comp to work Area"

    5. you return to your master comp and feel happy with what you have done

  • Rename the layer random script

    Hello, im trying to make a script to rename the layer like this:

    "anyname. RGB"in"RGB ";   "anyname. CMYK"to"CMYK. "

    I found a that rename, but only with the name of the layer exactly and I have a lot of layers with random names before the ".rgb".

    can someone help me figure out how to do?  THX

    Oh, it's easy. This script will get the name after the first point. If there is more than one point, then it will get only the name between the first and the second point.

  • Layer not no projection in the layer

    When I insert a layer it automaticly jumps to the top of the page and sets its width on the page.
    There is no sign of the inserted layer in the layer tab (F2). Why? I can't resize it or do something with it. In Code view, it is inserted under the name of the layer.

    < style type = "text/css" >
    <!--
    {#Layer1}
    position: absolute;
    left: 206px;
    top: 66px;
    Width: 174px;
    height: 199px;
    z-index: 1;
    }
    ->
    < / style >
    < / head >

    < body >
    < div id = "Layer1" > < / div >

    When I insert another it jumps automatically on the previous one, so I can't reach the original.
    When I select the layer it does not offer the ability to change anything, but the name in the properties bar. Rather than view the ID of the layer, it shows the Div ID.
    It is a mess and I don't know how to get rid of it. I must have certain properties set wrong.
    Is someone can please tell me how I can get the layers work properly?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi, I thought about it.

    I had to turn on toggle display of the CSS Styles in the Document under the Style rendering toolbar.

    Now, the layers are the size I make and also appear in the layer bar.

    I hope I helped anyone who has the same problem.

    Thanks for the time and willingnes to find a solution.

  • Paint on the layer in Photoshop with lighter color makes the color paint more light go under the darker colors? How can I fix it?

    I have Photoshop CC

    When I use paint tool to paint on lighter colors on a layer, it always goes under the colors darker on the same layer. Even if I paint the darker color first and the lighter color, second, the lightest color continues to go under the darker color. And it's all happening on the same layer too! It's like photoshop is to order the colors based on what color goes on top and what colors light up and down in the order how dark the color is.

    How can I do so that the color that I finally painted goes on top?

    See the blending mode in the Toolbar Options paint is set to Normal.  There is a parameter 'Behind' who will actually do what you describe.

    Also check your layers panel blend modes and settings for each layer.  Maybe not relevant in the present case, but recommended when the strange behavior happens in the layers.

  • How to get the Panel to display thumbnails of the boundaries of the layer instead of document of toentire relative size?

    There is an option for this, but it only partially works... and I was wondering if there is something else I'm supposed to know about to make the feature work as described...?

    I can activate the option to display thumbnails... transmission in works for the bitmap stuff.  None of my vector masks are shown in the size of their layer.  (Note - I layer in the form of transparency disabled - which means that the layer is shaped by the vector mask and not any content.)  It is verifiable by checking the option to display the boundaries of the layer).

    Yet, when I do this, it's obvious on the biggest screen (if the boundaries of the layer are displayed), than the vector contains the complete layerBut in the thumbnail, I often can't even the shape of all , not very useful.

    So what don't understand me?  How can I get thumbnails of vector to display the size of their layer?

    Thank you!

    I think it is supposed to work this way - vector layers are basically always full document size and the path determines only the pixelation and the visibility of the content based on the rule of filling in the path box. Don't say that there could be no way to determine the bounding box on the fly and use it for the thumbnails does not, but I do not know there is a certain reasoning / logic for this behavior. I guess it is also a matter of preference - in Illustrator, it's like that and it makes me crazy, because we never see where the substance is compared to the artboard.

  • How can I change the thumbnail of the mask layer for a thumbnail of the image itself?

    Hello

    I'm in Photoshop CS5 in Windows, and I've been using Photoshop for a while now. I'm not sure what I've done, but for these days, in my palette of layers, thumbnails that appear are different.

    I have attached a small screenshot of my photoshop below. Here in 1 layer, the thumbnail at left (brush) used is that of the opening of the image and the thumbnail in the right used to be an indication of grayscale pixels that have been selected. No idea how to return back?

    Hi slaveofphoton,

    Go to Options from the layers panel, and choose one thumbnail size other than none.
