Looking all around the scanner to the computer to find problems everywhere?

Hey guys, I am running windows 7 on a Sony vaio VGN-CS320J, and this is kind of screwed upward. I know not how, but firefox still crashes, I used to get the BSOD a week, not who suffer now fortunately. in any case, I'm looking for a program/software free/good market to scan my computer, find the problems and fix them. Ideas?

There is no such program.

Programs that are advertised to do such things either (a) not fix anything, (b) finding alleged problems that can only be corrected if you pay for a 'pro' version or a service agreement, (c) damage your computer, or a combination of these options.

You can do a free scan for malware by using one of the following:

  • ESET Online scanner free virus--> http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/
  • MalwareBytes AntiMalware--> https://www.malwarebytes.org/antimalware/ use the free version; Uncheck the option to install the trial version of the "pro" version install, update and run a scan; allow the program to remove or quarantine what it finds
  • SUPERAntiSpyware--> http://superantispyware.com/ use the free version; install, update and run a scan; allow the program to remove or quarantine what it finds; If you decide to leave it on your computer rather than uninstall it when you are finished, go to the settings and disable the option "launch at Windows startup.

You can clean your hard drive using the built-in Disk Cleanup tool.  Click Start, click on 'Computer', right-click on the icon for your hard drive and select "Properties".  Click "Disk Cleanup".

CCleaner is a more complicated cleaning tool, but you can eventually remove things you shouldn't.  Please do not use the registry cleaning tool which is an option in CCleaner--> https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

  • Printing on the computer Windows 7 problems

My knowledge of computers is very limited, which was confirmed when I tried to print a PDF document, the other day. No matter what I tried I did not print. After that, I tried to print a document I had compiled in Word Starter 2010. I clicked on file, then print and the printer and details of parameters provided. The icon of the printer displays "Ready" so I click on print, but instead print a menu appears showing "print to a file. The menu displays the documents in the document library and file name cursor is flashing who want a name to register and in the file name is ' Save as: "and it shows"Printer files". If I click it turns into files of printer prints all files but still. I don't know that I did something when I try to print the PDF document. My printer is the only one I have and it is the default printer, so I don't know what to do. Can anyone help please?

Original title: Windows Word Starter 2010 print issue

Hi, Isha, thank you very much for your answer.

I got some advice from someone on the spot yesterday and it worked.

He suggested that my attempts to print the PDF document had caused my computer to lose contact with my printer and I must: -.

use the disc for my printer to set up my printer with a USB cable, so that the computer will recognize the printer and I would be able to print. What I did and I could print my Document file.

After restoring the connection I followed the instructions in the manual for my printer to connect the printer on a wireless basis. I followed the instructions on the screen and managed to configure my printer on a wireless basis.

This seems very simple, but I have set up my printer again and had to install some new system updates of Canon, which wasn't very easy for me!  Somehow, I managed to click on the boxes to the right and answer the questions correctly and I am new to print.

I don't know that I did the things that you suggested above, thank you for your help.

Thank you for your information on Microsoft XPS Document Writer, I'll look into it.

    Thank you very much

  • Applications and the computer cannot find HP Deskjet 4180 printer

Recently upgraded to Windows 8 XP (32 bit).  Downloaded the driver from the HP website for the HP Deskjet 4180 printer and installed it.  Open a document and select print as well as the application cannot find the printer.  The computer does not recognize a printer connected (via USB cable - no network connection).

Then I downloaded the installation wizard and he can identify the HP devices connected via USB and has chosen the correct software to download and install.  He identified the aircraft and said the basic software that it is installed and recommended that I have the full software.  I did this, which involves downloading a file of 291MB and it works. Eventually return to the same point in the installation wizard and most recognized once the device but the claims only the basic software is installed - followed the instructions on-screen, downloaded 291MB file and the wizard could have do me it again for a 3rd time!  Printer is still not not regonised when I try to print.

    The pilot actually works?

Is there anything else I can try?

Your help will be very appreciated.

Sorry, you have problems getting the printer to set up and print.  Here is a video on uninstalling software of the printer in Windows 8 (which is step 1).  After uninstall, restart the computer, then try to install the full feature software and drivers Deskjet 4180 (link is for Windows 8 32 bit) using this download.

To the best of my knowledge, this driver should work (I have not heard otherwise).  Try this for me first and if it doesn't work, tell me what is happening. I hope this works!

  • Windows XP does not detect any internet at all despite the computer with the modem to work.

I recently installed Windows XP Professional on my new iMac via bootcamp.  While Windows itself works fine, it won't connect to internet at all.  Despite being connected to a modem ADSL via a Ethernet cable, and also have wireless internet, Windows does not detect any signal.  On the internet in the Control Panel, all connections page that appears is "1394 connection" under the heading "LAN or Internet high speed."  I tried several times to put in place a new internet connection through the Setup Wizard and everytime, no internet is detected.

I know that the modem works because all the other computers in my house are fine online, including on the side of Mac of the iMac.  If anyone has an idea as to how I should resolve this problem, your help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

    Daniel

Moreover, these are things I've already tried:

I've tried to manually and automatically set up an internet connection
I spoke with my ISP, the modem works fine
I have re-partitioned the hard drive and reinstalled XP

The "1394 connection" is the IEEE 1394 (FireWire) from your computer.  There should be cable system and under the heading wireless connections "LAN or Internet high speed."   There is no need to run the Network Setup Wizard or set up a new connection.

Open the Device Manager (Start > run > devmgmt.msc ) and go to the network adapters section.  You may need to install the drivers for them.

When the printer stops printing, instead of uninstalling/reinstalling, I recommend to run printing HP and doctor Scan. It's a quick and easy tool that diagnoses and solves many problems of printing, scanning and connectivity. Click on the link below for more details:
