  The last two weeks, my computer, which is a Compaq Presario CQ5107C been freezing while I'm on it, and while I'm even not use without programs open. The pilot also missed a couple of times during use, but a message pops up saying something close to "driver recover successfully. Also, when I stopped it, it takes forever to stop and sometimes when I try to shut down properly, it goes to the blue screen and said that one of the drivers failed, which I guess it's my NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA Controller driver. My GetForce put up to date the most recent driver updated and there is no problem I know with whom. I read a litte autour my ATA driver can slow down and start doing this gel then go to blue screen if it malfunctions. I'm running on a 32 bit Windows Vista processor and have not yet update my Windows 7. I was looking for every possible way get an update for my ATA controller driver anywhere without having to pay for it. I guess I should upgrade to Windows 7 to possibly get an update. Update to Windows 7 would remove all the programs/personal off my computer files and if I had to stop the gel? Any help would be great because I searched everywhere and found the best solution yet.   I'm looking for an internal DVD burner for a model Satellite Pro A40 2.88 Celeron with a currently installed CD-RW/DVD-Rom. My mother is the owner of this laptop and I want to upgrade the drive for her.

  For this particular model, I could not find another A40 Pro which has a DVD - RW, only DVD ROM. I also suggest to buy an external DVD - RW writer because an internal hard drive will cost much more. Probably triple what external there. External, you can find for about 50 but internal will cost at least about 90 more taxes. I'm sure it is internal that correspond to this machine, but at the moment I don't have the time to research each compatible model search of the car, it's why I suggest an external drive.   There is no special driver for the optical drive of your computer laptop just the drivers Microsoft standard supplied with the XP operating system.

  Make sure you have the "Enable CD writing on this drive" box checked for your optical drive. You can check this by selecting my computer then right click on the optical drive, select properties and then click the recording tab.

  Hi, I recently got a T430 renovated and well, I just love and want to invest in an upgrade to 1 TB hard drive 7200 RPM

  I read the specs here but other than:

  • High, 320 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA 3.0 GB/s 7mm
  • 500 GB, 7200 RPM, 7mm or 9.5 mm high SATA 3.0 GB/s
  • 1 TB, 5400 RPM, 9.5 mm high SATA 3.0 GB/s

  It is really not a lot to spend when buying a new hard drive. (totall rookie at this, so please be nice)

  Are all HDDs OTC market you today my machine? I have read discussions on the Bay in my entirely appropriate machine HDs 7 mm and 9.5 is a stretch and could adversely affect the connection to the motherboard. You can link me to a schematic page? I am looking for part numbers, which would help.

  Here are some HDs I consider, how do I know if they will fit ok? Comments are appreciated. I can watch videos on gootube how swap, this part is easy.

  Currently dual boot win 7 pro and ubuntu 14.04 and I've pretty much mukked to the top of the 320 hd with partitions before I knew any better. Nothing on the drive is special, I might as well do a clean install or restore backups. Which do you recommend?
