  You are right.  The VBIOS hybrid will work with a standard BIOS and UEFI.  However, the length of the card is 9.84 ".  I am not sure that it will not go in the space provided with good air circulation.  You can make a model of the size of the card to see if it will fit.  I would like to apprceciate hear the result.

  I'm looking for an internal DVD burner for a model Satellite Pro A40 2.88 Celeron with a currently installed CD-RW/DVD-Rom. My mother is the owner of this laptop and I want to upgrade the drive for her.

  Does anyone here know of any number of model of the DVD-RW/CD-RW/DVD-Rom that is compatible with this model.

  For this particular model, I could not find another A40 Pro which has a DVD - RW, only DVD ROM. I also suggest to buy an external DVD - RW writer because an internal hard drive will cost much more. Probably triple what external there. External, you can find for about 50 but internal will cost at least about 90 more taxes. I'm sure it is internal that correspond to this machine, but at the moment I don't have the time to research each compatible model search of the car, it's why I suggest an external drive.   Your machine is still under warranty, so you should take it to your local Apple store for repairs. Function late in January, you bought it, you still have phone without support. If you can't find any help on the Apple Store, then I don't know what you expect to find here. We have no way to check for problems you have described or any additional hardware, etc.

  There is no special driver for the optical drive of your computer laptop just the drivers Microsoft standard supplied with the XP operating system.

  Make sure you have the "Enable CD writing on this drive" box checked for your optical drive. You can check this by selecting my computer then right click on the optical drive, select properties and then click the recording tab.

  This PJ11 is placed on the motherboard and the flat keyboard cable must be connected to this connector.
  I m not 100% sure but I think the PJ11 is mounted on the Board and I wonder how someone can lose it.
