Hello, I searched around, but did not find a lot of recent topics and none of the answers accurate:

My internet speed seemed slower lately and when I click the wifi icon in the menu bar, the status change constantly "Wifi On" to "Looking for Networks.  It just keeps going back.  Is there a reason it does this?  It slows down things?  I recently left my Mac over my AX, but the signal is still listed as three bars, and it's always on my correct network.  I have never select the network or something like that.  I never noticed this problem before, but I don't know if doing things contributed to it or just a coincidence.

    Thank you!

When I click the wifi icon in the menu bar, the status change constantly "Wifi On" to "Looking for Networks.

The AXE is not ' Looking for Networks "... your Mac is" Looking for Networks.

This message is normal and expected and should appear and be updated on every 3 seconds or more. It's happened since that you lit on your Mac first.

The Internet might be slower... but 'search network' would not have something to do with it.

What Internet connection speed is your package from your provider?

How fast can you measure if your connect your Mac directly to the modem using an Ethernet cable connection?

How fast do your measure if you are looking for your Mac about 6-7 feet (2 meters) from the airport and connect wireless?

  • In a software installation and driver for network WiFi C6150 printer

    Re: HPE 170 t w/Windows Professional computer

I have difficulties to complete the final configuration after installing the software, after which I get a fatal error. This info is passed on you, and I got a message from one of your REPS that I try to install the wifi only. When I try to open the Solution Center, I get a window that says: the device not finished; Go to the technical support I did several times. He also says to plug in the USB cables, but this isn't the way I want to use this printer.

I have now done several complete installation/uninstallation process, and I closed my Norton program, including using the disk cleaner / delete the temp nothing helps.

I can get the printer to work, and the center of HP PhotoSmart works great. But the important centre of the Solution continues to be a problem, and I need a fix for this. What are your recommdations? Thank you

Of free will or by force, I solved this simpleton.

Here's what I made if according to Hoyle or not:

I clicked the downloaded all in one HP software. I removed selectively Solutions centre, although it said that it could create problems with other HP software. When the computer is off, I connected the USB cable from the printer to the computer. I started the computer. It seemed that the downloaded software went into an automatic mode when I pressed the button of installation software. So far, I had previously deselected the HP store and the OCR software. Well, it started to install all three against my will: the Solution centre, OCR and the HP store.  I wanted only the Solution Center. Heck!

And it has worked. Open Solution Center, and the Fax icon appeared. I ran across a few initial tests; and all seemed to do very well. However, he has worked with the USB cable. Now, the real test:

I turned off the computer. I removed the USB cable. I turned the computer back on. I opened the center of Solution, and it worked.  After spending almost my entire day on this machine. However, a small hitch. Before its opening, I'd get a small window that I had to say yes to so that the center of solutions to open it. This little window is controlled by user account control, and he did not want to allow the following: Hpqdirect.exe, Unknown Publisher, original file, HD on this computer. It was rather annoying, and I had to get rid of.

    Here's what I did:

I opened the UAC. I pushed the lever down. I restarted the computer. I clicked on the solution Center, and the small window wasn't there. I disabled the Solution Center.  Then I went back to the UAC, I raised the lever where it was originally. I then open the Solution Center. Voila! The small pestilential wndow wasn't there.

I want to thank those who have responded to me. Even if I fish around and find a way to do this, I appreciated the help because he kept me on task.  Not only that, but I've learned to other procedures that may be useful to future challenges.

  • Looking for networking of feedback

Right now we are in a very simple local network... a few managed switches, some switches not managed (10/100), a firewall/gateway to the internet.  Resides on the 192.168.10.0/24 network.

We are finally moving to a new LAN, but I'm a little worried about the ESX configuration.

-The new LAN will consist of 2 layer 2/3/4 sensors (my heart) and 5 layer 2 switches (switches of my edge).

-L' together LAN will be configured in the VLAN of the Department that will reside on multiple switches each (the guy who took our network cables have been less diligent in their placement on the grid).

-The two main switches have had their ip helper routing, etc. enabled as they will route traffic between the VLANS, and I use DHCP to provide multiple addresses as a gateway for the high-end devices.

-My ESX hosts have 4 network cards to put aside for my access to the VI client and also my VMs (so they can talk to the network).

    -New IP subnets use a 10.0.0 / 16 network.

-L' network infrastructure (firewalls, switches, servers, server of virtual machines, printers, etc) will remain on the 192.168.10.0/24 subnet to reduce the headaches of reconfiguration.  Routing has been configured on the switches.

I am setting for a nightmare?  What kinds of things I need to change on my ESX host?  I know I'm going to need to start my traffic, which, I guess, will result in several VM networking on the marking vSwitch VLAN... but what else?

You gave the impression that your current network to your hosts would not change, i.e. stay with 192. Which would mean that the guest would stay the same as well. The only thing that should change is vlan tagging enabled on the side of the switch and to add the id vlan for 192 to the current host network config so that later, when you want to support additional networks that will be created, you will be ready.

    See you soon,.

  • Looking for products with specific needs: USB dongle to create WiFi + send traffic through SOCKS proxy

    Hello

I need a product for a specific use, and it is not easy to obtain the necessary information with the data I found on the web. So I was wondering if anyone knows a Linksys product that fits the need.

I am looking for a USB dongle to connect to a Windows PC. This USB dongle should * create * a WiFi network and an iPhone would connect to the WiFi LAN. The PC would then play the role of a gateway, that she would share his Internet Ethernet RJ45 connection with the devices connected to created WiFi. In addition, all the WiFi LAN traffic should be sent to a given SOCKS (v5) Proxy (which is actually on localhost).

You know a product + utility that meets these requirements?

    Thank you in advance!
    Kind regards
    Stone

This is not actually a function of the adapter wireless and more attached to the PC operating system.

If you are running a Windows PC is easy. Given that existed in Windows XP Internet connection sharing. It simply comes down to enable Internet sharing on the LAN adapter and assigning the host adapter wireless network connection. Then, you will need to add a wireless Ad - Hoc for your devices in the customer network to connect too. I guess that the wireless adapter must support wireless Ad - Hoc networks, but I think they all do.

Linux\Mac have similar support sharing Internet.

There is also software available that you can install to create a hotspot Wi - Fi with your PC.

    Thanking you

    Omal Bose

Dear lasvegaswireman thank you very much for your answer. Last day I contacted the HP support team and I got the resolution, Compaq 15-s001TU comes with pre loaded back free. If you want to upgrade to windows 8, I believe that you will find no difficulty in finding the drivers for the HP product support page. But in the case of windows 7, you will not get the driver LAN, Wifi and Bluetooth page main media because HP made this model to be worked with windows 8. They provide generic drivers for above mentioned drivers missing. First of all let me dissect the details of manufactured goods of chipset for this model which is not mentioned in anywhere (not even in the catalogue).

  • Windows XP does not ask for password for a secure network, wifi not connecting. Says "validating identity".

Have tried just about everything I can think of. computer is connected to the front secure networks without problem.

More information would be useful.  Windows XP did not support thereafter until SP3 WPA2 wireless encryption, so if you have not installed SP3 and try to authenticate on a network protected by WPA2, it may not work.

Assuming that you do not have SP3 installed, try to go into your wireless network configuration / configuration screen.  (There are several different configurations of wireless, including ZeroConfig, but we do not know that you are using).  All most of them save previous in a 'profile' wireless connections so that when he meets this wireless again, he knows how to configure itself.  Find the section of your configuration screen profile, look for the SSID of the router you are trying to connect, and if you see it, then delete that profile.  This will allow your machine to then reconnect to the router wireless with an open mind.

  • I'm looking for a link to XP SP1 does not require a network connection to install

I'm looking for a link to XP SP1 does not require a network connection to install

Were you recently doing a Clean Install? I ask because you are implying in your installation of Windows XP is in 'gold' or SP0 (i.e., pre - SP1) level. Well sure, automatic updates will not work!
You can use this path to level – says in passing:
Gold XP to XP SP2 to XP SP3.
Note that installing SP1a is TOTALLY USELESS!
    Here are the detailed instructions:

    1. download the installation of SP2, SP3 and IE8 files. I prefer to keep these on a USB key, but this is optional. Here are the links to all the installation of three files:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=28 (for SP2)

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?ID=24 (for SP3)

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=43 (for IE8)

And if you wish, download the Setup file of a good anti-virus program. I recommend Avira free Antivirus:

    http://www.Avira.com/en/Avira-free-antivirus

    2. disconnect Internet.

    3. temporarily disable the automatic updates.

    4. install SP2. Restart twice.

5 install the SP3. Restart twice.

6 switch to IE8. Restart twice.

    7 install an Antivirus software.

(What happens very often is that someone has their software antivirus running as they try to install SP3, which often translates into chaos! "This is why it must be done after installing SP3 and IE).

8 make sure that firewall Windows is activated (it should be).

(Now you can physically reconnect to the Internet.)

9 visit Windows Update to download and install only the critical security updates.

10 re - enable automatic updates.

After the back if you need guidance.

original title: cannot get rid of popup

whenever I start the player; a popup says "installation", which never seems to do anything; and the only way to get rid of it is to click at the top or bottom or screen; and it is looking for a network resource that is unavailable, another said: setup .msi [1]... .and I can't get rid of it... just moving road.

I searched this mystery file: setup .msi [1] and can't find it.

    What should I do?

    Thanks for the info.

Looks like it's maybe a Windows Installer error... has
whatever it is impossible to install?

Sorry, I don't have the answer and the only idea I can
