Lose the presets for metadata applied to images

I have a the basic metadata preset that I have apply to the images after that that they were imported. I noticed that on a basis regular, every image in my library loses its preset applied metadata and it comes down to "none". For the life of me I can't understand why this is happening and I don't know if it's a bug or a feature.

My standard workflow is that after I import images, I select all the images in the new folder I have designated for these images and apply my screening of specific metadata but it seems only a few days later or after I have import new images, all metadata presets are gone again. I noticed this problem with Lightroom 3 and again with Lightroom 4 once I've updated so I don't think it's related to a specific version.

This happens usually when a change is made to a field in the metadata that are selected in the preset. For example, I had a similar problem because my metadata preset 2012 had the IPTC Image section selected by mistake, with all fields in this section anywhere in the parameter preset. Then when I started to add GPS data and geocoding reverse and began to fill in the location, the preset metadata returned to "none" because I had changed a field in this section IPTC, and so the preset applied was no longer valid. Note, however, that, even if the name of the preset returns to 'none', all the original data applicable by the predefined (with the exception that you changed) remains.

To check your own preset, make sure the fields that you don't change are selected.

  • Lose the layer effects when I flatten image Photoshop CC

How can I keep my layer effects when I flatten an image or the merger of the layers?  I tried a few ways to merge: for example merge down to an empty layer, visible merger, stamping the image, the rasterization of the layers, saving in jpg format, but still lose the effect.  I can also send it to a lab to be printed with all layers intact, as it is more than 1 GB in size. I searched the net for an answer, but all suggested does not work.  Help, please.  I really need to solve this problem.  Thank you

It seems to me that you apply tonal corrections of black and white line art, or an image with the frame of halftone (points) (or something similar).

That won't do anything because all you have is still pure black white and pure - but it will look as it does If you look at what it is other than 100%.

The reason why the adjustment seems to take, is that you look at a preview resampled, cached, and resampling softens the edges and introduced middle gray values.

When you group, the adjustment is calculated on the original size. Then he "disappears", because it is actually nothing to resolve.

I could be wrong and it's something else - but is a very common question and a good bet.

  • If I restore the presets for keyword it will destroy current keywords in all the catalogues?

I'm working through Classroom in a Book and had to make a separate catalog for the lessons in the book. I'm at a party who is telling me to restore keyword presets, but when I'm ready to do that a warning window appears to ask me if I don't know that I want to do. I guess that it will scan keywords already created to restore keyword presets in the preferences. Is this true? If so, it will wipe away only keywords in the catalog in effect and will be the key words that I created for my main catalog safe? Where are stored the keywords? In the catalog or in the request for Lightroom?

    TIA,

    Ken

PS: what happened to restore other presets a half dozen preferences: are global presets for all catalogs (especially for Lightroom), or simply apply to the open current catalog?

Restoration Keyword sets do not remove any existing saved games or remove keywords from your list of keywords. It has the only purpose to restore or to give you (have they been removed) three sets of keyword supplied with Lightroom (photography outdoors, Portrait Photography and wedding photography). Nothing is destroyed when you use this option. The screenshot below is an example, and you will find that it contains 9 predefined keywords (9 being the maximum in any game).

The keyword list is stored in the catalog, but you can export it to a text file (metadata > menu to export keywords). In fact, it's a good idea to export a copy just in case you accidentally delete it or part of it from Lightroom.

PS: what happened to restore other presets a half dozen preferences: are global presets for all catalogs (especially for Lightroom), or simply apply to the open current catalog?

As for the restoration of the keyword lists, restore the other presets is used to you puts one of the built-in presets you may have removed. Restore does not remove everything you may have created.

In general, the Presets and templates are Global by default. However, you have the possibility to store with the catalogue (see Presets Panel in the preferences).  Crop presets are still stored in the catalog. Only global presets/templates are available for all catalogs. Storage of patterns presets with a catalog puts them in a folder in your catalog folder.

  • How to use a certain Image Tracing preset for automatic tracking of Image?

    Hello

    I use Illustrator CC.

I made a custom Image Tracing Preset and you want to use it on a folder containing a sequence of images I want all to vectorize automatically. Programming Action is not an option that the Action Recorder does not record what preset vectorization is used for tracing of the image. I've found that I can use the pre-installed Image Tracing Script (thanks to this great forum post - http://forums.creativecow.net/thread/2/1023487 ) in which I only need to specify the exact number of the Image Tracing Preset. And that became a big problem.

I tried to change the numbers from 1 to 25 and I thought that I've identified the Presets this path somehow, but after a while I discovered that I have not. I have no idea what Image Tracing Preset number and how to find out.

Does anyone know? Or someone has a different solution for what I'm doing? I thought that this should be pretty easy...

Thanks to all those who can help you.

  • correct the settings of the sequence for my a7s sony images?

What is the parameters in the correct sequence for my a7s sony images? I turned it to 1080 p 23.976 FPS using the codec internal xavc of cameras.

I havet always has a yellow 'making' line above when I fall into the sequence?

    Meaning of yellow bar:

It is not an indicator of a problem, or is this something to worry about. It's just a status indicator.

This means that in the estimation of workstations in the file source and current hardware configuration, it 's going to be most likely to be able to reproduce the material in real time, but this is not certain.

This is because the XAVC codec is highly compressed, which means that Premiere Pro to "decompress" each image - in the Group of pictures (GOP) it is stored in - to display 23.976 times in one second everything by getting both audio and video streams, as well as follow-up of the unsolicited user entries.

  • Setting the presets for export assistance. FLV

I need help to customize the presets to export a file to the .flv format. Here's what I need Adobe export to:

    . FLV

    29 97 fps

    Audio - 44 khz 66 kbps stereo

    . FLV

    320 x 240

    4:3

    800 Kbps

    29 97 fps

    Audio - 44 khz 66 kbps stereo

You can accomplish almost all in the first of 12 elements, but there is a problem reaching the exact audio sampling combination speed/flow that you list.

In first Elements 12, go to publish + share/computer/Adobe Flash Video and presets select = FLV - great NTSC Web Source (Flash 8 or higher) On2VP6 MP3 FLV

On the Advanced Settings button and video tab, adjusts

Remove the link between the height and the width of the frame and the type of

Width of the frame = 320

    Frame height = 240

    Bitrate = 800 kbit/s (kilobits per second)

On the button tab / Audio advanced, adjusts

    Output channel stereo =

Bitrate settings - This is where it gets complicated... There is no set rate/frequency = 44 kHz sampling or other. There is no audio bitrate of 66 kbps (64 Kbps is closest to you), it seems to be a sampling frequency associated with export, but visible once you have export and examine its properties in a program like MediaInfo.

    Here's what I found

If the audio bitrate is 64 Kbps, sampling rate is 22.05 KHz

If the audio bitrate = 80 Kbps, sampling rate is 22.05 KHz

If the audio bitrate = 96 Kbps, then the sampling frequency 44.1 KHz

If the audio bitrate = 128 Kbps, then the sampling frequency 44.1 KHz

Are there trade-offs for you, or you must have the exact values you posted?

    H.264 AAC F4V

If you export your Timeline as F4V, so you can create sampling rate of 44.1 KHz and bitrate 64 Kbps.

We can discuss the other parameters not mentioned later once we have worked around the core ones.

    Please see the bulletin.

    Thank you.

The "Digital Imaging Monitor" HP is great. It keeps my printer sharing and I love it, however, I don't have the icon down in the system tray. I know how to turn it off, 'right click - out', but I'd like to keep the "Digital Imaging Monitor" running and loose just the tray icon. There is no option for "icon view". Any suggestions? Hi Drew777,

Thanks for the reply, but I think you have me a little confused now. I don't know what you mean, what is the functionality of Windows 7 for all icons. As you can see in the screenshot, you can select options for each icon, you should be able to Windows XP as well, stated in this paper How to hide icons in Windows XP system tray .

I feel like I'm missing just something here then please provide any other details in order to get to the same page you are on

  • Develop the preset for the black and white Points

Is it possible to create a preset that will find the correct point black and white individually for each photo to import?

The [auto tone] button in the quick develop Panel is as close you will arrive at an Auto setting of the black and white points.

But many find it also changes exposure requiring several slider adjustments.

You will get the best results if you hold down the [ALT] key when you move the black and white sliders, or press 'J' to set the clipping indicators in the histogram of mode of development. (Blacks show blue, white and red)

I want to change the vertical size of the header area in Firefox, persona pictures, I chose will be easier to see. Right now, when I choose an image of the character, it displays only the parts of the image. The lower part of the image seems to be blocked by the small horizontal grey line that separates the area of the image and the standard white background of the Firefox navigation area. The gray line looks like you just grab it with the cursor and drag it down (as you normally would to increase the height or width of the screen of the browser all together) but not love.

  • How to transfer Presets of metadata from one mac to another

    Hello

My question is how can I transfer the Presets for metadata (information about the creator and their Contact information, etc.) from one computer to another? • Presets for reactive structure

    Hello

I was doing a tutorial, and when it comes time to use the presets for reactive structure, the guy on the tutorial has 6 presets, and I don't have one...

    edge.jpg

Does anyone know how can I get these presets?

    Thank you!

This is because you have a scene > selected symbol.

The tutorial you reference most likely has an asset of the image selected: who will reveal 6 layout presets.

So in your case, if your symbol 'houses' an image that you want to apply one of the six presets layout, then you must be in symbol editing Mode: just double click on the symbol to enter Edit in Place. Then select the image, then choose from the preset picker.

    Hope this helps

  • Lose the italics of the word when you are exporting FrameMaker 11 files

When I import a Word file into image - the italics and boldface are maintained. But if I save the file as HTML or XML - that they disappear. If I retag them with character tags, they are maintained, but work in a science paper the italics are everywhere. Is it possible to find the italic origin and replace with label of character?

    I use FrameMaker 11.

Are applied in the form of tags in Word character attributes or are they fair substitutions? Check the FM file to see if the items in italics and bold character applied tags. If this is not the case, use the search/replace to quickly label elements.

    1. first create the appropriate character tags.

    2. apply the tag to a single instance.

    3. use the copy > special to pick up the tag of characters to the Clipboard.

    4. use find it > Format characters to find the attribute setting in the shape you want to tag (SHIFT + F8 sets at AsIs ensure you selectt only Hat properties that you need to look for, i.e. italic or bold).

    5. use by gluing... option in the change for you apply character tag to all instances found.

  • Best Preset for CS5 to AVCHD

I'm experimenting with one of the latest AVCHD Vixia of Canon cameras that is capable of shooting video 1920 X 1080 at 24 MB/s.  I think that the MTS files that result are natively captured in 60i format.  I want to do a demo tape for a customer for a product shoot with this camera to show the quality AVCHD and clairty. It seems that if I select 1080 p preset for this codec in CS5, I would be throwing half of the resoluiton vertical if the native video format is 60i, as would be the case when shooting SD video with a native of 29.97 FPS format, which reduces the resolution of natual. My guess is that the 60i is a field rate and not a cadence.

The preset for 1080 p or 1080i are both set to a ratio of square pixels or 1, as opposed to retangular ou.9, as with NTSC DV.  It would seem with a format of the square pixels when displayed on a screen format screen 16:9 wide, it would produce an incorrect image.

Could I get some clarication/confirmation on the two issues above?  It would be the first time that I used this format of HD video and I want to be sure that what I produce is both standards and optimized with native video I have for the real demo.

I probably happen this video to be considered as a mp4 only file rather than he incorporatin in a DVD.

Thanks indeed in advance for the help.

The best thing is editing in HD and then export to dvd mpeg2 or use Dynamic Link to make a dvd in Encore.

1920 x 1080 is always big screen square pixel.

If creating a dvd of this film the view will be always big screen with non square pixels with a format of 1,2121 pixels (0.9 is for 4:3)

If its filmded 60i sticks you to 60i.

See screendump, however this is nec 50i, just choose 60i (two at the bottom)

If you are unsure what is preset to choose dragging a clip in the project window in a new item icon, this will create a sequence corresponding to your images.

Are you sure you mean presets.  It sounds like your reference to camera and lens profile profile ACR presets instead.  Adobe installs camera profiles and the goal for many models of cameras cameras decision-makers and lenses.  You must keep remove them whenever there is an update of ACR. They do not require a lot of disk space.  To get your own advanced ACR preset in your office for you laptop you can copy thyem.

Where they are stored depend on platform and version.   Profiles of the camera and the lens are stored in a common location shared by all users and your presets are stored in the settings of your user id. On Windows 7, I see them in these places.
