  • Conversion Word 2013 to Acrobat DC how to open hyperlinks in a new window without having to return each link to 'edit' it

    I create very long in MS Word 2013 with many hypertext links to external PDF documents and then convert it to a PDFdocument and documents well think I select "open in a new window" in 2013 word seems still to have to go once I have converts the document to PDF and 'Edit' of each link Hypertext still 'open in a new window' or just opened in the same window , thus losing the original... very, very annoying! Is it possible to get hyperlinks in the PDF to open it (as shown in the Word document, for example in a new window). I have also several links in the word document that I want to open in the same window that I always want to happen like this in the PDF document.

    Thank you

    The tool allows to convert all links in your file that point to an external file or a URL. This will not affect those who are pointing to another position in the same file. For other questions please send me an email and we will discuss this private sector.

  • Can I hidden several Word Documents into a single PDF with Acrobat Pro

    I use Acrobat X Pro version 10.1.10...I'm trying to select several files to Word Document (Mac Version 14.4.3) but when choose the files, file format of Word Documents I can't select them as a cabriolet. If I drag them in the conversion box it says that they are not a recognized file format... any ideas?

    You can open any WORD file in Acrobat format? Otherwise, it's probably a limitation of Acrobat on the Mac. On the PC, you can simply use the option to combine in the file menu to create a new PDF. The WORD document conversion uses the PDF Maker option installed in WORD that should work, but it's the same process as the opening of a DOC or DOCX file directly in Acrobat. There is limitation with the compatibility of the different versions of OFFICE and Acrobat who could be another question, you meet, but I don't know the combinations to a Mac. Only, this gives you some ideas to consider. Some of the users MAC maybe more later to give more thoughts.

    The alternative is to create a PDF file for each of the WORD files, and then use the feature combine to combine PDF files.

  • Error PDF - only then to make it compatible with Acrobat > 5

    I have an InDesign document that I established

    In short: export for compatibility Acrobat 4 - all right. But exporting to Acrobat 5-9, I get this error:

    Details:

    This book is printed in 3 sizes, I export a PDF of the doc main, then I imported that pdf in a new InDesign document and resize it

    The PDF file that was exported in the main document is perfect

    However, the other 2 InDesign documents are not, and which contain this perfect PDF are NOT!

    When I export to any greater than 4 Acrobat version compatibility, I get the above error.

    (It is caused by a graphic in the document I did)

    Someone has an idea?

    Thank you

    David

    I made a sample file for all those who want to can test and see

    Here is a link to a zip file (on mega.nz) - in the ziip there is an InDesign doc with some PDFs (test files that I made)

    The InDesign doc has 2 pages:

    • Page 1 is the graph of the origin of the problem.
    • Page 2 is a pdf file that is imported from page 1 (I exported page 1 and then placed in page 2

    Try to open one of the 'Page 1' PDF files in Acrobat, you won't get any problems

    However, open PDF "All pages", Acrobat 4 files will be just fine, all other causes error when scrolling of page 2

    More info:

    I use the latest version of CC InDesign and Acrobat CC Pro

    10 Windows pro 64 bit

    @Willi, understood, thanks for the great info here!

    Now, just an update:

    1. I tried separating the pieces to the image... it turns out that part of it caused the error
    2. I made a new icon with transparency - simple words with a drop shadow - had the same result! When you export to > Acrobat 5 with the color conversion, pdf was defective
    3. Tried to place InDesign doc - it worked

    So, it seems pretty clear what is the cause of this problem.

    This is obviously due to the conversion of two-color on transparency, and that's why:

    1. When export us it first without conversion, the second export is very good, even with the color conversion
    2. When we place the indd instead of the PDF file, there is no error - simply because there was no color conversion
    3. When the first export is exported to compatibility with Acrobat 4, there is no problem because the transparency is flattened.

    I don't know if this is the behavior expected or not, but not knowing this topic certainly made me crazy and used a lot of my time!

    I hope that this analysis will be useful to others - or maybe even cause Adobe to fix something here...

    Thank you

    David

  • Create PDFs from MS Word documents with DWG files embedded

    Using Adobe Acrobat Pro XI, I regularly create PDF documents from MS Word documents with AutoCAD DWG files embedded.  If I print to PDF it is well with integrated designs but if I use the plugin Acrobat text in the drawings would then become too light to see in the created PDF file.  I need to be able to convert to PDF format rather than print them in PDF format in order to have the bookmarks and links created automatically.  What parameters control the darkness of drawings ACAD contained in MS Word files when they are converted to PDF files?

    Here are some screenshots from the built-in drawings prints/changed:

    Printed to PDF.JPG

    Convert:

    Converted to PDF.JPG

    This problem was caused by the use of dynamic blocks with several line colors and thicknesses in the original DWG files.  They were used to allow the quick creation of drawings in AutoCAD for several different components that share similar attributes.  Unfortunately when these drawings are incorporated in MS Word or PDF files is created directly from these drawings, items in the drawing would randomly disappear when a PDF file created from them.  The solution is to open each offending in AutoCAD DWG file, move everything to layer zero and set the thickness of the text elements.

  • How to maintain direct links in Acrobat while making the rest of the non editable PDF?

    I want to convert Word docx to PDF and to maintain hyperlinks while not allowing people NOT edit images and other text.
    Is this possible to do with Acrobat?

    Of course, you can apply a security policy that prevents the installation, allowing links to be clickable (in fact, you can not disable it).

  • How to create a pdf with Acrobat Pro 7 which can be edited/saved by user

    Found the link to this and he lost!  Now, I'm wasting time trying to figure it out yet - 3 hours!  The PDF with fields was created with Acrobat.  When I tested with Adobe Reader, it will not allow the user to save the file - fill and print ONLY.  Friday, I was able to find a workaround, but now I forgot.  Any help is appreciated.  Thank you!

    Hi Tiggerc,

    If you have Acrobat Pro 7 or higher, you can add reader allowing rights to the PDF document that will allow the user with the Reader Adobe free to fill out and save the form.

    You can find it in the menu advanced in Acrobat 7 with similar wording to "Expand in Adobe Reader" or "Enable usage rights in Adobe Reader".  After selecting this menu option just follow the guests of the dialog box.

    Let me know if you have any questions

  • Problem Word document with table conversion table of contents

    Hello

    I use MS Word 2003 and Acrobat 9 in Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

    I created the manual using Word, I put position (s) with 3 levels deep and created the table of contents in Word.
    It seems as expected. There are titles, subtitles and subtle (3rd level).

    Table of contents in Word works very well. No problem.

    In the PDFMaker options on the Bookmarks tab, I put 1 TOC with 3 levels.
    However, after you convert the entire document in PDF, bookmarks seem very strange.

    They contain only the titles (no subtitles at all), each bookmarked line ends with some number 3, 4 or 5 that I have not idea what it is and these bollmarks point to page table of contents no to the page, they should have.

    Clip1.jpg
    What is the problem and how can I fix it?

    Thank you

    I have read a lot of posts with similar problems and tried all of the suggestions posted.
    I tried:

    1.

    Reinstalling Adobe (by removing all of the related files), well I don't have any older versions (and facilities) of Acrobat in this computer.
    2.

    In Adobe PDFMaker uncheck the option "enable accessibility and...» »

    3.

    Set up printer to Adobe PDF

    4.

    In Word > parameters-OCD I ticked the option "use hyperlinks instead of page numbers.

    I also tried in Adobe PDFMaker use not FAKE, but to use 'convert Word headings to bookmarks.
    The result was horrible. Double bookmarks, reverse a lot of bookmarks empty and level 1 level 2 positions (I think that created by blank lines in the charts on the pages).
    Please note that by using the same word headings create TOC without any problem!
    The only plus side was that some of these bookmarks came with correct links.

    Clip2.jpg

    These bokkmarks were created using "New bookmarks from structure" option in Acrobat (after conversion of the document)

  • link with the relative path includes the root folder

    I hope someone can help me. When I convert a Word to PDF file with a path relative to another document, a reason any Acrobat includes the directory root with the path if the link does not work. Even when I try and change the link using Acrobat Pro and save the document, the system adds the default root directory. What is happening with this?

    example:

    Directory with the file/subdirectory with file/sup under directory with the file / / my document.pfs

    site to register:

    C: / / my documents /.

    Directory with the file/subdirectory with file/sup under directory with the file / / my document.pfs

    solved my problem. I removed the links in the word document and then created in Acrobat. It worked.

  • Authorization error in opening word 7file in acrobat pro

    I can create a pdf from Word 7, but could not open the file from acrobat 9 pro.  When I sent the document in they said that he has not been executed thanks to distill.  When I opened the Distiller and open the file, I get an error standard, content not emptied, none out.  My word documents 7 are saved as docx - must be post script?  I am totally confused with acrobat. I read the help files - but when I followed the instructions, nothing changes.  I don't have any game of passwords or permissions - why do we say that I don't have permission to open the file?  I'm the only person using this computer and the program.  I bought this program specifically to "distill" my word files and can't seem to find a way to do it.

    Thank you!

    I will try to answer some of the questions. I could spend the graphic problems for those who do better in those, or at least don't expect a lot of any answer I give in this area.

    PDF Maker with AA9 uses a different process than previous versions where PDF Maker was simply a pre-processor for the printer (insertion of PDF to create links and other brands). I guess you've discovered that PDF Maker does not produce the distilled version you want. I know not why your home printing (think that's what you use) must be version distilled, unless they're trying just to be sure, it is compatible with Acrobat. However, tags and such PDF Maker may be the problem, don't know. In any case, printing to the Adobe PDF printer will create the version distilled as you discovered! There will be no markup, such as bookmarks and hard links, in the printed version.

    I will not say PDF Maker do not distill the document, but apparently the message does not give you the results you need. DOC, DOCX and PDF files cannot be opened in distilling. Distiller processes only the files PS and EPS, period. When you try to convert in the menu "create from file" in Acrobat, PDF Maker is basically a process that is used for most of the files if your application has this option. Otherwise, I think they use the operating system print option to print to the Adobe PDF printer. I haven't played much with it and make an assumption of the process.

    The complete help in the HELP menu is the manual of 300 or more pages.

    Transparency is perhaps not what you think. It is a transparent graphic that allows what is behind to show through in a sense. Several packages transparent graphic support, but Acrobat used to have problems with these types of graphics until the latest versions of little. I'm still not clear as to the way in which it was repaired, but really, I don't use the feature. This is where others should be able to answer much better.

    I'm also weak on the use of grayscale, versus B & W I hope someone goes to solve graphic problems.

  • Bug trying to create the link with the Cyrillic characters in URL

    I'm transforming words in my text on the links, but with Cyrillic characters in their URL (such as https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/ хорошо). The problem is that, depending on how create the link, the page refuses to accept the URL.

    It's my preferred method (which accepts not the Pages):

    1. Write or select the text to be transformed into link;
    2. Press cmd + k;
    3. Paste the URL (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/ хорошо) in the field;
    4. Hit enter or click out;
    5. When I check the link, it is www.apple.com.

    The strange is that other methods work very well.

    1 against nature (accepts Pages):

    1. Delete my word;
    2. In its place, paste the URL (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/ хорошо);
    3. Hit the space bar (a link is created automatically with the correct URL);
    4. Edit the link that is created and change its text;
    5. When I check the link, he kept correct.

    2 against nature (accepts Pages):

    1. Write or select the text to be transformed into link;
    2. Press cmd + k;
    3. Find a way to build a version with my URL (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%D1%85%D0%BE%D1%80%D0%BE%D1%88%D0%BE) escape sequence;
    4. Paste the URL with escape sequence in link field;
    5. Hit enter or click out;
    6. When I check the link, ironically, is хорошо https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/.

    To stretch more:

    1. Editing a link created successfully (with any success methods above);
    2. Changed its URL (from хорошо https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/ to https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/ плохо)
    3. Hit enter or click out;
    4. When I check the link, it's still хорошо https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/;
    5. Finally edited and changed its URL still once, now remove the Cyrillic (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki);
    6. Press enter, click out and he finally accepted the URL.

    Pages seems to be denying the creation of links with the URL that contains Cyrillic characters (only?), but exclusively through his little creation of link popup. I think it's a simple problem, but I'm sure it's very annoying.

    Everyone knows the same?

    Cyrillic characters in the range of table encoding UTF-8 code points u + 0400 - u + 04 FF are represented by two bytes. These people must be encoded as a percentage (read the two paragraphs of the current standard of article), as the Pages v5.6.2 will convert automatically URI to this encoding for you in the link Inspector. It will simply ignore what it considers incorrect URI links, they are Cyrillic, or even English.

    Use what is easier for you, and that Pages v5.6.2 accepts.

  • Why Firefox tries to open the PDF with Acrobat 8 when I set properties using Reader 9.1?

    If I click on a link in a PDF file from Firefox 3.6.10 he's trying to open it with Acrobat 8 and breaks down, while if I double-click on a folder it opens properly with Reader 9.1

    If I try to open with Acrobat 8 for the record, he does not either, but why Firefox does not use the default program?

    Go to tools | Options | Applications. The first 4 entries focus on Adobe. Make sure that the association is your version 9.1. If this is not the case, click on the association that shows. You will get a triangle pointing downwards to the right. Click it, and then check if 9.1 is displayed. If so, select it. Do the same for the other elements of Adobe.

    You can also check the "Folder Options" in the control panel. In the tab "File Types", you will find all file extensions and the programs with which they are associated. Scroll to the PDF extension and make sure that it is associated with a "Document of Adobe Acrobat. If this is not the case, click the < button > and find adobe in the programs list.

    Just to let you know, Adobe Reader is now up to version 9.4. You can go to the Adobe website to download the latest version.
