Lost access to the management, the user represents etc. Uninstalled VeriFace, hmmm...

I uninstalled VeriFace that even my children can log in with my password. Now I have more access to all programs 'admin' privilege etc. Can anyone help? THX, Bryn.

Well, I tried the "one - key" and the functions to return.

However, I got a bunch of errors of PSSWCORE configuration at startup, and the suspect most of my other software is now compromised.

    The problem

We went through the entire process of upgrading our server for vSphere 4.0 to 4.1 to manage a stand-alone ESXi 4.1 system, so our attentions turn to our 3 blades running ESXi 4.0u1 we used the built in Update Manager, downloaded the 4.0 to 4.1 upgrade file and we have improved our first blade and it did not notice problems as there put servers have was little used those.  We then upgraded the second and moved our main mail on her server.

It was when we did that we started getting errors when people were losing connection to the exchange server, after some research we've seen of the event and we have been to see the error:

"Lost access to the volume because of connectivity issues."  Recovery attempt is underway and the results will be available shortly"

Then 10 seconds later we get the message:

"Successfully restored access to the volume due to connectivity problems."

This error only occurs on the blades of 4.1, we have restored a blade on 4.0 and errors are not displayed and no errors were reported with the servers on this blade.  As far as we can say it is not a network problem since all blades for iSCSI traffic flows on the same switches to the Lefthands, and we were losing the connection to volumes on the two Lefthands.

We have a call connected with HP about this, but from the Yes, we cannot determine what is causing this problem and how to solve.

So any help is greatly appricated

  • Is there a way to give a user access to the users and computers active directory, without being an administrator

I want to be able to allow user group to be able to reset passwords and create accounts in an organizational unit.  I delegate control of the organizational unit for the group, but if I connect to the domain controller and try opening users and computers active directory, we wonder an administrator password.  I have a mix of two domain controllers Server 2003 and a Server 2008 DC.  Is there a way to give a group access to the users and computers active directory without being administrator?

  • Lost access to the files on the hard drive.

After you use the SYSTEM RESTORE, my office has lost access to all my files of data written and the pictures on the hard drive.

I tried a backup disk or restart several months ago, but the drive will not read it!

How can I restore access to "My Documents" and other folders?

I use Windows XP with all updates of February/March 2013

    [Moved from comments]

    Hi Alan,

Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft Community Forums.

According to the description of the problem, it seems that you have lost access to the files of data and images after doing a system restore.

I would appreciate it if you could answer the following questions to help you best:

    1. Why did you perform a system restore?

2 do you have questions about the computer?

    3. If so, please specify the question to better help you?

    4. What are the data and images file format?

System Restore will return all your files non-system as documents, email, music, etc., to a previous state. These files of types are completely affected by the restoration of the system.

Based on the current situation, I suggest you to Undo a restoration of the system after performing a system restore.

Check out the link and check if that helps.

If the problem persists, or you have any questions about the restoration of the system, do not hesitate to let us know. We will be happy to help you.

If I understand correctly, Windows XP indeed cannot replace printer drivers in certain circumstances.  The best way to go is to make sure that the old (maybe corrupted) driver is deleted and then reinstall the printer using an installation package of fresh driver (usually obtained by downloading from the website of the printer mfr).

    1. Unplug the printer.
    2. Uninstall the software associated with the printer using the control panel > Add / Remove programs.
    3. Open Printers and faxes and delete the printer (right click > delete)
    4. In printers and faxes, click file > server properties > tab drivers.  Select the driver concerned, then click on remove.
    5. Restart the computer.
    6. Run the installation package that you downloaded.  Do not connect the printer until prompted by the installation program.

  • Lost access to the programs, not a virus or registry problem. Lost the rights to the user (?) but cannot access restore or modify user accounts

1st, I tried almost every fix suggested on this relatively common problem with no joy.  It is not a virus, unless it's something very new not found by all the usual scanners.

Only way to access the programs EXE is to run the command prompt by going to with CTRL - tour of the new task (run) in the Task Manager menu and then navigate to the appropriate directory and run the program from the command prompt.   Run virus checker and run various registry fixes recommended here with no joy.  Safe mode does not help with the launch of the EXE.

Because I get the 'Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file.  You can not have the appropriate permissions to access the item.  When I try to run an exe from a link, I think I have lost the user privileges.  But, since I can't change the accounts of users or the restore, I can't try to do anything there.

This problem occurred after uninstalling several old unused programs followed by performing a disk defragmentation.  (everything is done using Microsoft System Tools).  PC worked after doing these things in vain after the next reboot.

Curiously, I CAN start the web browser from the start menu to post this message.

Another clue: I can't start programs by clicking on them, but I CAN run the program by opening a file type associated with this program, i.e., opening a file named text.doc will cause Word to open.

I am a fairly experienced user, but I'm stumped.  Any suggestions?

    Found solution...

Looked user accounts change program but cannot find or identify it was so impossible to try it.

I was finally able to identify (in trial & error) the restore program and run it using the command window.

The program (rstrui.exe) was found in C:\Windows\System32\Restore\rstrui.exe

I was able to run and to restore to a date when this problem started and that fix.   Still don't know what was the problem of the root but happy to be able to fully use this PC back again.

Thank you to everyone who made suggestions.

  • Lost access to the home user folder

Hello. I seem to have lost permissions to access to my home folder in OS x El Capitan.

If my user under Favorites folder-click, then nothing is displayed.

If browse computer / user /... so I can see my user but it is shaded pale gray and no access is possible.

Tried disk repair. No other question similar.

    My user has administrator access.

I am still able to use the - Mail, Photos, iTunes - apps that access the files that are located in my home folder of the user.

Ideas on how to access the home folder in the Finder?

    Hey RossM.

I understand that you have a problem with access to your files and folders in your user folder. Let's see if we can get access to it.

I would like to start by looking at your home folder permissions. If they are incorrect, you will need to make sure that you are the owner. Take a look at the procedure described below to take care of this.

  • Lost access to the IDENTITY of the USER when connecting... Went to unknown user

I worked last night for a few hours and installed two products ASHAMPOO (their Photo and Office Automation) and everything worked very well after that restart and I made sure that everything was fine and was working properly with the new program and those that exist as well.

I woke up this morning and turned on the computer and an error came up saying it couldn't find the USER regular (or standard), but there was no name of the user and it is then open to an empty office.  I did a system restore to yesterday but STILL NOTHING.  I went to the USER ACCOUNTS from the control panel and don't see any other than comments and administrator designated account, but both are empty files and folders and items on the desktop. I see again all MY programs and files that I used when I look in Windows Explorer, but have no way to import to a new identity (or user) I created for all.  I checked to see if the files and folders had any rhyme or reason, but it seems that the USER account I am looking for is not able to be accessed by all means.  I see a folder on the C: drive, which seems to have my correct links to the office and I see as "Program Files" as well as with my programs (with the exception of Outlook Express (which is ALSO urgent). Now, I can also see on four accounts of user unknown (only through Windows Explorer - not in the field of user accounts) that I don't recognize, and all are empty of one of my articles information or office.  I desperately need to find a way to get the computer to use my USER account, so I can get my desktop computer, programs and send them.

    PLEASE HELP ME!

This is much like a corrupt user profile.  It shouldn't be too hard to recover from this.  Try this Microsoft article:

  • Access to the USER account

    Hello

Unable to access user account! So I have to go as a guest! How can I get access in the comments, I type the password as an administrator as the user account is the administrator who is the account that I can't access!

Suppose I want to remove the password so that I can access it again, but do not know how...

Sorry, but all history is somewhat strange.
Maybe a stupid question now belongs but this laptop you or are you trying to access the laptop computer that belongs to someone else?

I mean, you know the correct password, and I don't understand what the problem is here.
What model of laptop do you have?

Another question: did you create recovery disk for your laptop? Without correct password, you will not be able to start the installation of HARD drive recovery too. It can now be quite problematic.

    Group Policy. http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/555324

I would not disturb that, unless block you also all kinds of internet connectivity, ban installs them, access to records system, the bios password, remove completely the usb drivers, block the visibility of the post, disable usb on motherboard, disable uefi, assign admin security locks, network and start of recovery and encrypt hard drives (bitlocker or material) your choice).

At this time, there are chances that you shouldn't provide a computer at all. Best policy is good data access governance.

  • Admin has no access to the user account

I have a XP Pro computer where a user profile directory has no access at all to administrators: only for himself and system.

Is this normal and supported? How can this be achieved?

When I create a new account on this computer, the profile directory allows access to administrators.

The problem is that I want to use some backup software that runs as administrator, so that it cannot properly access the user's data.

NT Backup of the Microsoft can save everything without problems.

I would so understand, I can ask the author of said software to backup to fix, or my setup is weird way and is.

    Thank you

    -pa

You could remove rights administrative account to any file or folder on the computer while you could do this for a profile.  If you leave rights system alone, Yes, the built-in backup function still works.

However, anyone with administrative rights could just as easily give themselves rights of return...
