Lost and laptop recovery disks goes mental!

Hi, I can't find all the recovery disc for my laptop and when I turn it on it just goes and restarted more. It will boot in safe mode, but then I don't know what to do after that. I really need my laptop as a.s.a.p. its my lifeline for uni and work.

Any ideas or help please!

Hi Sabrina

Please put the device works in safe mode and this:

Start > Control Panel > system > Advanced tab > startup and recovery you'll find an option called automatically restart. Disable this option and I hope that after the next startup, you will see the error message on the screen. I put t know why this happens but you can try to remove more recent installation of the software if the problem starts after that.

    Hello

I have a toshiba Satellite C650, who has recently developed with a disc read error. I want to access the command prompt to try some possible solutions I've read on the internet.

I made a Windows 7 recovery disk using my other acer laptop which has also installed Windows 7 64-bit. When I use the recovery disk and it loaded the files etc it evokes just a black screen and the cursor.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?
I tried to start my computer acer laptop from the recovery disk and it worked fine.

As is - this does anyone have suggestions as to why I get the message "disk read error - press ctrl, alt and delete to restart?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

On this virtual path, it is not easy to offer the exact diagnosis, but of course, there must be a problem with the HARD drive. Can you get a second one for test purposes and exchange it. Just to be sure if the HDD is troublemaker.

  • Where can I find and download recovery disk creator?

    Hello

I installed Windows 7 Home premium 32 bit on my * Satellite A350-12j *. I installed the driver too and everything works well, but I can't find a link to download the recovery disc creator software, to create backup DVDs. Any official link to the software?

    Thanks, Marco.

I'm afraid that you have misunderstood something.

This tool is designed to work with the factory only settings and you can use it to create Toshiba recovery facilities only disk.
It is not a kind of backup software. It is designed only for purposes of Toshiba.

I just hope that you have created the Vista recovery disk before installing Win7.

  • Recovery and system recovery disks don't work is not on the MS213 Pavilion (All in One)

    Hello

I ordered the HP recovery discs as F11 will not work. I got 4 disks with one separated from the others. He said "use this first! The other 3 were combined, and they are marked the system recovery and disc 1 of 3, 2, 3 and so on. I restart the computer with the disk that says use this first. The disc starts to load and says loading files of Windows, or somehting like that. Then he said: Windows startup. I don't get the Recovery Manager menu. After a few seconds it ejects the disc, and there are 3 pictures on the screen, at the top left is like a circle with a check mark in it. With an arrow, it points to an ejected drive of a computer image on the disc tray. And it points to a picture of a computer with 3 drives. It seems that he tells me to put in the next disc. I put in one that is graduated from 1 to 3, the light on the drive flashes, and then nothing happens, regardless how long wait. If, instead of starting with the disk that says this first use, I start with the one who said that 1 of 3, after loading Windows files, it says something like "this disc is not for this computer.

    System information:

    HP Pavilion MS213 all-in-one

    Windows 7 64 bit

    Configuration of stock

    Background:

It is a friend's computer. She was making a mistake "code purple" with the resumption of F11. She had someone watching and I don't know what they were doing, but when I got it, I was getting an error at startup. somehting like cannot find the Boot...

I found a commercial version of Win 7 64 bit standalone disc and installed on the machine. It runs great, but it had to be for troubleshooting only, until I have the recovery disks.

So, I'm stuck and would appreciate any help. I thought initially upgraded to Windows 8, but I thought that the recovery disks will be cheaper, and also the friend doesn't have to go through the inclination of windows 8.

I will be happy to provide more information if necessary.

If you can read the license key Microsoft Windows 7 of 25 characters related to the machine, you can download a Windows 7 ISO file to burn to a DVD. Remember, it is the version that is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker.
  • Broken HARD drive and no recovery disk

    Hello, everyone!

My husband bought a new laptop a few months before and the fact that US aircraft not only any what rescue DVD, we na not create a restore disc, understand us, that we had a lot of time... Except that yesterday one of the dogs was caught in the power cord, and the laptop fell on the floor. Of course it wouldn't restart and the BIOS would not recognize the HARD drive.

Using an adapter, I was able to connect it to my own laptop and all data and files are displayed. My question is, being able to access my own computer HARD drive, I can create a disc of recovery there and how? Cause when I select this function on my computer, it does not give me the ability to choose which drive I want to create the disk, it assumes I want to do it from my C: drive.

    Thanks in advance.

    > My question is, being able to access my own computer HARD drive, I can create a disc of recovery there and how?
As far as I know that something like this will not work. For recovery, multimedia creation, you need to use preinstalled Toshiba recovery media creator tool. Saved on the HARD drive recovery image is marked with so-called markers and this tool can find the exact position of the image stored on the HARD drive. Please note that it works under normal circumstances. When your HARD drive is connected as external, this tool can not find it and recovery media is not possible.

In my opinion, you have a problem with your machine. You know if the HARD drive is not properly recognized that I'm afraid that your laptop has a serious hardware problem and it must be checked by the Toshiba service provider.

I mean, you can have a recovery media, but it is useless if the HARD drive is not recognized by the system.

  • HP laptop: recovery disk boots, but no mouse cursor to select the options.

I started the HP recovery cd and it gets to the menu asking what to do - there is no cursor mouse so I can't use it.  Arrows, page up/down, alt + tab, etc. do nothing.

F1 brings up 'any aid found' so that the keyboard works.

I was able to use a paragon boot cd (linux) & mouse/keyboard worked fine, but of course, I can not restore the system with it.

FWIW: the laptop crashed and lost network connectivity, so I used system restore to go back (on the 2nd try) - 36hours after waiting until the end; I turned off & of course, it wouldn't start with various errors depending on if ordinary start-up or secure boot... If I want to use a system restore to reset some system files in order to start up and down my files.

Find the USB Wired mouse, plug in and try it.

  • Problem creating on the new laptop recovery disks

    Hi Forum:

I started the procedure of creation of recovery on a HP Pavilion g6 disk.  The laptop was bought this morning at Costco.

I used discs DVD + R DL for a package that had been previously used for other creations of recovery disc (on other new computers, of course.).  The first drive put in place and the creation of the first (of three) ran discs then hung to 54% of this disk check is completed.  I left him for two hours, and it has not changed. No doubt had hung up.

It's frustrating because this is the second time in two days that this product. Yesterday, the system blocked when you create a set of recovery discs after the first disc was created and it was gone in half way through the second disc.

I know that Costco could also resume this current computer but I don't have the time to do it before the owners go on vacation. My choice is to make a deal AcronisTrue Image backup (done) then return to Costco later when they came back.

I think it might be the discs that I use and who are at fault, with the exception of the fact that I could do a full game just four days using the discs to a same parcel.

Everyone has problems with the "program on laptops current HP HP Restore disc creation?

Thanks again Cheryl.  I think you're right.  I had better call HP and explain what happened.  I won't be able to do for some time that the people who are owners go on vacation tomorrow and need with them for email and Skype.

Here is a link to confirm what I said, it's on this computer:

  • HP Pavilion dm4 - create from an identical laptop recovery disks?

I bought two HP Pavillion dm4s is about 2 years old, they are exactly the same, one for each child. One of them reported an imminent failure of the HD, I ran diagnosis and there is a smart hard disk error, I have re-sat HD, no luck.   I created a back up to a separate HD and ordered a replacement HD.

My question is... can I create recovery discs from the other laptop to use for the recovery of the laptop with the failing HD?

    Hello

As long as the machines (and the version of Windows - IE the Home Premium etc.) are identica, then Yes, the discs created on 1 machine should work correctly on the other.

Note:  Be sure to replace the failed drive HARD with one of the same capacity (or slightly larger) - installing a lower capacity drive is likely to cause problems with the recovery process.

    Kind regards
