  When using google maps via Firefox, after asking a place which is not the General section of North America who comes up regularly, the firefox screen becomes white with a narrow banner at the top.   It is a relatively young computer (Asus EeSlate 121) less than a year. I have used Firefox since I bought it and until recently had no problem with Google Maps.

  I solved it myself, after the 'note' that was FF/Mozilla, just as I finished my message, commenting on what it was that my system was, I wnnt back to check my plug-ins, etc. I downloaded the latest Java, the TWO 32-bit AND 64-bit versions and latest Firefox.

• I enabled 3d in google maps, and now it crashes firefox whenever I open maps. Help!

  I have a mac, and I've been using google maps. I tried to find the points of view of the real buildings on maps and clicked on the 3D option in the lower left corner. That caused an immediate crash of firefox and has made whenever I try to open google maps. The window is not open long enough for me to try and uncheck this option.   I cannot say which of the many cookies was the author of the offence, so I had to remove all... what I know is going to mean I lost some convenience, but it was worth it. For later use, is there a way to know what cookie is causing the problem?

• White tabs of Firefox 31.0, then no fields to twitter and Google maps!

  I'm on Firefox beta update, 30 and 31 now view files for a millisecond and then white - so far making google maps and twitter unusable (both great on Safari and Chrome). Firefox itsself blanks to tabs if I hit an arrow key < or > in the toolbar.

  Rendering CSS problem? JAva? the fact that it works on the rivals is confusing.

  OK it turns out be the hardware acceleration was causing this issue. I wish I had tried the first and save d the hassle of the modules deactivation and reactivation by an etc...

  No update is available for the graphics but hardware acceleration not really don't need of internet access in any case.

• My google map stopped working: I have firefox 12.0 and my google map shows just a white square instead of the map.

  My Google map does not load. It displays an empty blue square instead of the map. I disabled all extensions of pluginsand started in safe mode, cleared cache and cookies, but nothing is done. WOT to do!
  It works in Chrome, but also have the same problem with IE9. I don't know when it started, but it was working fine last month.

  (2) images
  (3) cards

  All these features work in Internet Explorer, just not Firefox.

I'm one of the first fans of firefox, but lately, it's crashing frequently on some sites. eBay item pages that have demos 3d and google maps are 2 examples.   Hi rupysk, please try to install a newer version of displaylink drivers for your system of http://www.displaylink.com/downloads/downloads.php and then upgrade to firefox 39. I hope that this should address these accidents.

  Hmm, it's quite different under Windows. If all goes well a Mac user can advise on the question whether this combination should work on Google Maps.

  In the meantime, some general tips:

  When you have a problem with a particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clear your Firefox cache and delete your cookies for the site.

  (1) delete the Cache of Firefox

  See the steps described in this article: How to clear the cache of Firefox

  Note: If you have a large hard drive, this process may take a few minutes.

  (2) remove the cookies from the site (waiting for work save first). While you watch a page somewhere on google.com, try either:

  • Right-click/Ctrl + click on the page and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies".

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

  If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

  • Click the menu button

    

    click Help

    

    then select restart with disabled modules.

  If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
  • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
    (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

  When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

  

  If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.
