  If the CD/DVD drive is not visible in my computer then go into Device Manager, remove the ODD (CD/DVD drive) of the list of devices.
  Then access the registry and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

  Finally, restart the laptop.

You can't use it for OS installation if you are using the version of the OS clean and you don t need it if you use original recovery image.
