You have never actually seen, made an effort to replicate it and never actually solved this problem before, have you?

Give me instructions on how to apply the resolution alleged in the article:

To resolve this problem, obtain a new copy of the corrupted file or reinstall Windows XP. If you continue to receive one of the error messages that are described in the "Summary" section after you have reinstalled Windows XP, a hardware problem or network may exist.

Tip: I don't have XP CD and there is no "Summary" on this page.

It seems that you come to search Bing and post a link to the first MS KB article that appears.

Don't you think it might be a bad CD/DVD player, a bad cable CD/DBD or little RAM bad?

Why not unplug/uncable the CD/DVD drive and then see how things work?

    ==================================
Long message... I hope the info is useful:

VOB (as you know) is the DVD video format.

You can not convert video to a format of photo as
.jpg and retrieve your original images. And...
None... copies of original source files are not
    archived anywhere on the DVD.

A method (and probably not near what you)
hope) would be to make the screenshots
    (capture) video. The resolution and
sharpness of the capture will not equal
    the originals.

The free VLC Media Player can read your
    VOB files.

    VLC Media Player
    http://www.videolan.org/

For the installer for your screen Capture... Open VLC and
Reach... Tools / Preferences / video button / video
    Instant image section.

In the directory field... Search for and select a folder
to save your captures po (for example... you could
Create a new folder on your desktop and select)

TO... Prefix... check the box... Sequential numbering.

TO... Format, choose JPEG or PNG.

Finally... on the left, click on the Save"" button.

Now... Play the video and pause by pressing on your
SPACEBAR when you see a screen you want to capture.

To capture the screen... type...  SHIFT + S

Press space to advance to the next photo...
    ect... etc...

A possibility may be 'Solution B' in the
    next article:

"Excerpt from photographs of wedding DVD videos.
    for printing.
    http://labnol.blogspot.com/2007/02/extract-still-photographs-from-wedding.html

Word to the wise... If you use a software that will
extract frames from the video... be aware that thousands
photos can be made and you can fill in all
your free space until you realize.

    Good luck...

  • Create a recovery partition. How? I lost my hard drive

Hello.. I am a new user, so please be patient... The drive in my computer hp pavilion dv5-1199ew laptop has been damaged. How to create a recovery on the new disk partition? Maybe I have to buy a new operating system? greetings. Thank you!

    Hello

Unless you created your set of recovery DVDs you will need to order a replacement set of recovery disks using the link below - the use of these will reinstall the operating system on your new hard drive, install all of the original software your laptop came with and will re-create the Partition D of recovery on the new drive...

If you have a problem with this link, order them directly from HP.

  • Help a fool please ~ deleted partition, lost the hard drive size

I'll try my best to make this as clear as possible, thank you for your time...

Received my free copy of windows 7 home Premium

Wanted a clean install (not an upgrade)

Back up all the data and the programs that I installed

During the installation of win 7, I deleted the recovery of the system partition and the 2nd partition of my HARD disk (has been labeled d, came that sort of lenovo factory, had 70 GB size I think)

I thought that if I deleted the partition of the hard drive space would be added to the 1st partition and it did not

Have materialized with the installation of win 7, and now I just have never found my C: and the GBs of the 2nd old partition so its as if I lowered my total HARD disk size

How can I get my C: to have all of the 320 GB? Thanks for any advice!

You can allocate the unused disk space as follows.

    Start > run > diskmgmt.msc

Right-click on the Windows partition [should be C] and click on "expand". Extend partition as needed and enjoy.

  • Lost my HARD drive and you want to reinstall windows

I got an Acer TimelineX 4820 t. that has suddenly stopped working, it turns no more and they said that I may need to also replace the HARD drive. So I bought a new laptop, but it comes with windows 8 and I need Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit (the one I got). I have the key that was on the Acer (at the back of the laptop). My question is: if I reinstall win 7 with the same key on the other pc? (dual boot) If not, can I get it for free? (legally of course)

The preinstalled version of victory over death PC and its key on the label is valid only for the dead PC, its an OEM win version and can not be installed on a new slice of replacement/PC (or this key can be reused)

Why do you need win7 Home Premium?, all programs that have been installed on the PC dead should also install on the new.

You can't get a free win7 version, and its likely your preinstalled version of win8 didn't downgrade rights.

During the repair from a Local vendor (since it is not under warranty), I lost the hard drive. (The seller did mispaced)

Please suggest is possible that I can retrieve or locate my hard drive because it has very important data. or in the case the most unfavorable possible can I erase all data from your hard drive to avoid any misuse of data?

Any help in this matter is appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Yogesh

    Clarification:

The hard disk has been removed of the laptop and then lost? Or is the laptop lost everything?

In the first case, if the hard disk has been deleted and lost, nothing you can do directly. A simple analagy for it is to lose a CD (both are devices removable starage). You can spot as if by magic a CD in your home, or if someone else use it. In addition, Remote wipe (or remove) a CD (or HD), you have to unquily identify the object and then have a program that runs not far from the desired action.

In the second case - that the laptop was lost, then you might be able to track the cell phone based on unique information that it contains. I will not go into this property.

  • Satellite L750 - cannot find HARD drive

I lost my HARD drive and I can't go into what anyone with the exception of F2 and F12.

    Help, please

    Hello

This means that the HARD drive is not recognized in the BIOS more or how to understand that the HARD drive is lost?

If the HARD drive is not more recognized need replace it and reinstall the operating system. Satellite L750 is fairly new laptop model, so I think that it s valid warranty and if you contact an authorized service provider, you can get a new HARD drive for free. Simply contact the guy and ask for help, they will replace the HARD drive for you.

  • BSOD on install of Windows 7 after hard drive crash

I have a HP Dv7 with Intel i7 and 8 GB memory. About 3 years.

Recently, I lost my hard drive to a physical failure. I bought a 120 GB SSD as the principal and a 1 TB drive 7200 RPM as the secondary to be replaced. I ordered the HP restore kit to reinstall Windows 7, but each installation stops at "loading drivers" step and gives me a BSOD. I tried to remove the SSD drive and using only the hard drive, but the same results. Also tried to do a clean install of Windows 7 with an ISO image to a bootable USB key. The same problem. I also tried swapping the primary/secondary locations for readers.

Nothing I have tried seems to work. I'm desperate for a solution! Why would I get a BSOD on a reinstallation of the software factory?

I am trying install Windows 7 without SP1 to see if that works, but have no chance. What else can I try? What I have to install Windows 8 to work with the new hard drive or SSD? »

I tried to restore 4 times (3 hours + per attempt). I tried the clean install of Windows 7 SP1 at least 10 times, each of them do not reach the exact spot. Windows won't INSTALL, so that steps can be taken?

As I posted earlier, I had problems with installing Windows 7 on my laptop HP Pavilion Dv7 after replacing a hard drive defective. I ordered the kit of training materials ($60) and the operating system of restoration kit (essentially Windows 7 and drivers) on a 4 disc set. I paid the extra money for all accelerated for me.

After you have installed a 120 GB SSD and the new 1 TB drive 7200 RPM, I tried to install the operating system using the DVD restore I ordered. Each installation took about 4 hours and each of the 3 times (i.e. 12 hours!) installation has failed at the end of the installation process. Then I downloaded a clean version of Windows 7 ISO and burned a bootable USB an attempt installs another 15, which also failed at the end of the installation process.

In desperation, I contacted HP support and was informed that I had to pay for technical support. I must say that I was really disappointed by HP and HP «each incident» support I spent $59 and 3 hours talk with some idiots in the new Delhli, who accompanied me through a few tests of BIOS of base no matter what 3-year-old could have understood, I sent them a picture of the BSOD and error code, and they arrived at their 'solution' to send me my laptop to HP for them to install a new hard drive and reinstall the operating system for the pittance of $200 and 7 to 9 days!

I refused their generous offer to relieve myself of the burden of $ 200 in my wallet and took the laptop to Fry when I bought it. After 15 minutes of discussion about my question, the tech told me that I needed to install the Intel drivers during the installation of Windows 7. He popped a USB key containing the Intel drivers, I've needed, continued with the installation of Windows 7, and I was back at home with a working machine within the hour. It cost me $35. A BARGAIN, given that HP, the company that BUILT my laptop was completely distraught about this problem and the only solution was to deprive me of my laptop for 9 days and during this time, charge me $200.

So to all who read this, please pay NOT for the HP "per incident" support. They are slightly educated idiots who know no more about the HP product than your typical 3 yr old child. For example, they suggested that the HP laptop in my possession was "very sensitive" and I wouldn't be able to put 'any hard disk that was not exactly to the same specification as that was in it from the factory'.  Idiots.

I you need to re - install Windows 7 on your laptop, visit the Intel website and download "floppy" (i.e. not the executable versions which self install) versions of their drivers for your laptop, load on a USB stick and when begins the installation of Windows 7 where it asks if you want to load the drivers, select the drivers on your USB key and installation will be smooth.

Again, how is it possible that HP and their support forums are not aware of the problem or the solution? Seriously. This is probably the last HP I buy. Just exhausting and annoying to deal with this.

    Craig

PS - My HP Pavillion DV7 is smoking quickly with the new solid-state drive and updated 7200 RPM secondary drive. * beep * thing boots like 20 seconds and Photoshop load almost INSTANTLY. Incredible.

  • That if I broke some of the pins on my hard drive connection?

    Original title: I need help

Hi guys, pls I need emergency assistance to solve the problem I have with my hard drive. I tried to fix the back of the hard drive on my system after I finished scan to check the virus outside, while I tried to plug the disk hard, part of the power with the intact pins connection point is broken, and since the system is not completely power the way which it used to. It feeds when the hard drive is not connected and as soon as I connect the HDD, it fuels and stops again. What should I do

    Hello, Brigitte,.

If the connect the power supply to the hard drive has been broken, you've lost the hard drive. You must buy a new one. If it is a connection between the power supply and hard drive, then a new connector is necessary. Anyway you must have it looked at by a qualified technician. It is also wise to not it lights up when the hard drive is connected in case damages pins short the system and cause you more problems.

    Hello

What you do to a hard drive with an operating system preinstalled / license for a Compaq laptop a Sony, are not allowed under the rules of licensing.

If the laptop came with the preinstalled Windows operating system (Dell, HP, Acer, etc.), this product key supplied with the laptop is preinstalled OEM license and is not transferable.

OEM license/product key (systems of operating pre-installed on Dell, HP, etc.) is related to the first machine it is installed on and dies when dies of this machine.

The above applies also to OEM system builders licenses.

License of operating system in detail, that you buy and install yourself, are allowed to be transferred to another machine.

And retail licenses also can be installed on a machine at one time.

Reinstall Windows 7 on a new hard drive in the Sony.

As you have a pre-installed on the Sony OEM license, contact the manufacturer of your computer to order recovery media that they need to provide for a fee, if they're still available...

Or you can also borrow the same exact retail edition DVD of Windows 7 and use your product key to reinstall.

The COA sticker with the product key is either or in the battery compartment on the underside of the laptop.

With a desktop computer, it's on the side, the back or the top of the computer case.
