  I am a new user of Captivate.

  I created my own master slides. Many of them have blocks of text. My intention was to have the text frames appear whenever I have created a new slide in the Filmstrip view. Instead, I see just the text that I wrote (Insert text "here") in the background. I can't click and change the text in the view of the Film Strip.

  Could someone help me please? How can I make my text in the view of master frames appear as blocks of text whenever I create a new slide in the Filmstrip mode?

  If you want to "text frames", where the text can be changed in the view of the Film Strip, you must insert placeholders on the master slide. You probably insert text captions.

  Here are the instructions for the program shortcut "switch between windows" returned the fell on the Quick Launch toolbar:

  First of all, make sure you that you must show hidden files and folders active. Here's how:

  Go to: Start/Control Panel folder Options/configuration and select the 'view' tab select "Show hidden folders and files under the section files and folders hidden from advanced settings".

  Then you can get the file from quicklaunch default section. This location of file is here:

  C:\Users\Default\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

  You can paste this link into the search bar (Ctrl-Esc). When you get to this place, you will find the 'switch between client.lnk' which you can then drag directly to the Windows Orb and it going bust in the Quick Launch bar.

• Captivate 9: States of smart objects are not allowed on the slide master?

  If someone can tell me I'm wrong (the 'question' I write I guess) then please do - and tell me what I don't see in this program. THX!

  I have a series of large module has just completed for a high-profile pharma sales force - all built in my former 8. Captivate any software. Should I build a custom interface and completely brand (as it usually is) and do not use search gawd-awful, teacher friendly, built in stuff. All controls in the interface/shell are on slide master (as they should be) - and they are dynamic objects that use images in their States of a button. Worked very well! A master slide to any other, quiz, for precedent... get it. Plus - I complex animations that require a certain work come in the content area of a position backstage - so master slide items MUST be chosen as always on top (another reason to place controls on master slides. Some of my animations are edge animate - then those who are great - but the Captivate timeline based stuff can be 'hidden' obviously.

  Guess what? Captivate 9 not only broke all the controls (and all the custom actions of the art btw)-who needed to be rebuilt using their new 'States' method - but for some bizarre reason Adobe brilliantly REMOVED says abilities completely, all the objects that are placed on leaves of masters... WHY! Now - projects that I opened in it (which where ideally converted to C9 now) have not any comment Visual user for my custom shell (no State to overthrow) controls. I am the only man that creates custom controls and requires them to be the most logical place... slide masters? I am at a loss with this absurd forgotten - especially when it was already possible in Captivate 8. People really bad call.

  If all goes well - can someone tell me I'm a fool and I don't see a button somewhere...

• Customize the navigation on Slide Master

  I work on a new project and want to create a personalized interactive navigation bar. I am currently ideas and was hoping for some feedback on other methods, I can try to configure this or a simple * may not * if this is the case.

  Ideal solution:

  When you click a button, a new group of objects (text, buttons, forms, etc.) are displayed (see image below).

  1st test:

  I was able to create all the elements and do this work on a completed content slide, but there was no way to easily apply this to other slides in my module. When I tried to copy and paste the Group of objects to a new slide, the name of the changed objects that destroys my advanced to show/hide Actions items making this ineffective solution.

  2nd test:

  Then I tried to re - create this structure of navigation on a master slide. I was able to create all my icons/button/from forms and put everything to work the way I wanted, however, when I tried to program the button 'show' options on success, it is gray. I then tried to create a tip Action to display these items, and it does not list the objects or the group I created on my model of slides. Is there a way to show/hide objects or groups of objects on Master Slides?

  I also tried things:

  -Tried set-up and slidelet on a content slide, but you cannot add buttons to the slidelet.

  -Tried to assign the group I want to show a variable and then having my entitled main button a new value on success. Problem with that is a slide master that there is no feature ' on entering...» "so there is no way to hide the group.

  Is someone has created this type of navigation Dynamics show/hide in a module? Any ideas on how to implement this?

  You can have on Master slides form buttons that control objects on normal slides.

  What you never tried, is to make the Group of objects you want to order to show/hide with the master slide the buttons of time during the rest of the project (always on top). In this way, that the objects do not have a unique ID. I also used a combination of master slides and timed for the rest of the project in a scenario: buttons in the form of rocking - Captivate 6 - Captivate blog

  When I need custom navigation I always use this approach: objects of time during the rest of the project + buttons form of master slides.

• Cannot set properties from Slide Master

  I don't know how it happened, because I could do in the past, but for some reason that I can't set properties for slide masters in my project.

  I am using Captivate 7 32 - bit and when I click on a model of slides I get the message "Slide Master" and can add/delete/modify objects on the slide.  But, for some reason, I can't set the properties of the slide iteself more.  Specifically, I'm trying to rename a slide masters, and the properties view is identical to the last slide film that I have read.

  For example, I'm editing slide 2/10 film.  I decided to change the slides associated with this slide model.  So, I click the slide tab, and then select the slides model I want to change.  The "Slide master" message appears, but the Properties tab remains the same the last slide I watch one on film.  If I select an object on the slide (such as a text box), I can change the properties of this text box.  But, I can't change the properties for the model of slides, I work with.

  Any ideas how to reactivate the properties of the slide?  I already rebooted Captivate and my computer a couple of times.

  Most likely, you are showing the menu bar. Right-click on the toolbar area and uncheck the Menu bar - the Firefox button should appear. You can switch from one to the other.

• Receptive Slide height develops all the objects on the slide master background.

  If I build a sensitive project and slides, I need to unlock the height of the slide in mobile mode on some slides to create a scrolling to display more content.

  When I adjust the height of the blade, it develops all the objects in the background of the slide (my header, title...). These elements are not merged.

  Is there anyway that I can adjust the height of the blade so that it is not developing all the objects on the slide, only the backdrop (i.e. the white canvas). I try to use a model of slides for content pages.

  Or is the only way around it to create a number of different slide masters with heights of slide?

  I feel your pain. I struggled with this for a long time, but finally found a solution.

  If you want to extend the height of the blade, creating a scroll bar. But you want certain elements to stretch and others do not.

  
  

  Object to Extensible NOT / Static

  • Create in the Slide Master
  • Set the properties top and % Relative height.

  Stretch/dynamic objects

  • Create directly in slide film
  • Set the Top % Relative property
  • Set the Height property for % (not related).

  I recommend to create a slide film finalized and then duplicate this slide for all other instances.

  Let me know if it works.

  Edit the master slide, or duplicate and modify the copy. You must

  use a question slide master for each question, because a lot of objects

  Many queries take less time the second time you run them. After the first performance, there may be many, if not all, lines in the buffer cache. Then the second round will not make any or all e/s physical but will obtain data from the buffer cache.

  Also, you haven't checked that the MV was even used for the second run.

  Drop the MV and make the query several times and means of the time. Then create the MV and do the same thing.

• Slide show buttons

  Does anyone know how to change the default slide show buttons which currently exist "<" photoshop buttons?

  Just select the next item in the (>) mode creation; Double-click it and remove the container more symbol (or the less - than symbol if you select previous) which is nothing else than the text. Now import and Place your Photoshop button somewhere on the page (Ctrl + B) and cut (to move it to the Clipboard). And then double-click the next/previous empty container and paste the button from the Clipboard as an Inline element.

• Cp8 quiz resizing of buttons slide master

  I don't know if this is a quirk in the installation, otherwise it something that others are experiencing.

  On the question slide, MC master and the quiz results slide I rearranged the buttons and the legends of the slide and resized them. All buttons and captions are visible. I wanted to just make them bigger. I did also in Cp7.

  But in Cp8 when I insert a questionnaire slide buttons and captions are narrowed to adapt the text of the element. Positions are the same, but no, they are not the same size as I put on the master. If I "Reset Master Slide" nothing changes. But if I select the master slides in the quiz slide properties and then Clear, Back and Next buttons and captions change to match the master page. But the Send button is shrunk to fit. This seems like a bug to me. I know we cannot mess with the Send button, but it should keep the size properties. He did and Cp6 Cp7.

  Can someone else confirm this behavior?

  Just figured out this is a preference setting. I disabled in preferences/Defaults/General: buttons of Autosize and legends. Kind of weird that the question buttons behave differently with resizing works well.
