  You can use the SQL * more order

  WHENEVER SQLERROR EXIT

  to tell SQL * more to stop the execution of orders and immediately disconnect after any exception SQL is triggered.

  I don't know of anyway to stay connected, but to stop script execution, after an error.

  This script runs to remove files from the PC update VAIO Update has updated itself to the latest version online.  It should not appear on your screen and it indicates something wrong with the VAIO Care.  To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  • Open Control Panel and go to programs and features
  • Uninstall VAIO Care from the PC
  • Reset
  • Open your browser at esupport.sony.com and enter your model number, and then click OK
  • Your specific model support page, click on to the tab software and drivers
  • Expand the category of Applications Sony, then download and install the original version of VAIO Care (release date: 29/04/2011)

  This should take care of the issue of VAIO Care.  It is very unlikely that VAIO Care is the cause of the problems with the display in standby or sleep.  After trying the above, let us know the status of the PC, and we will discuss the steps for your other question.
