Low battery light flashing

I have a Toshiba Satelite L745 with Windows 7, fully updated as far as I know based on Windows Update. I recently replaced my battery with an identical.

While I have access to the office, the triggers for low battery and battery life are very good. However, I remember that, when the battery is low, it would have a flashing light. Now it only flashes even on critical battery and place lights only when the load.

Because I play on this unit in full screen, I often times do not have access to the desktop, so I am not notified of low battery and my unit sleeps on me.

Is it possible to add this flashing light again? Maybe a driver or a separate program?

== EDIT =.
Battery is configured to never reduce or sleep. (But it still happens. TTwTT)
Low battery at 35% (value: do nothing)
Critical battery at 25% (value: sleep)
Reserve at 15% battery low battery Notification is ON.

(Moved to customization and ease of access)

Hello

Check with Toshiba Support, their drivers and documentation online and ask in their forums.
Neither of my laptops computers Toshiba do that. Maybe Toshiba has a utility of power/battery for your device
that should be checked.

Unfortunately I can not describe the problem properly, because I keep having problems with the filter of the Commission.

    Short version:
I have a Toshiba Satellite 2800-300 and since yesterday, battery light flashes orange. Faster than it usually does when the battery is low. Change the battery, charger and power socket did not help. Someone has encountered this problem before? What is it?

I took the battery now and turn the laptop without it. Is this right? I realize that I must go to the Service Center, but this is no option at the moment so I just want to know what is happening and if it is harmful to the operation of my laptop in this State.

    Hello

First of all, you can use your laptop without battery until you find the right solution for this problem. Believe me I do the same thing if I use my camera at home. I remove the battery in the hope that maybe he can save the life of the battery.

It is not easy to give explanations on this path because it will be interesting to see what happened exactly, but AFAIK if there is no option to boot the device and if the battery orange flashing, it may be a malfunction of the equipment.

If there is an excessive flashing there may be some malfunction of the equipment. If the power supply microcontroller detects an error lamp DC IN sends a blink code. Can you please tell me how exactly it flashes? Are there different intervals (short, long)?

    Hello

Have you noticed this problem since the first day of purchase?
Theoretically, it could be possible that your battery begins to malfunction
On the other hand, an electrical problem could also be possible

    However, try this:
Remove the battery and the AC adapter. Then press and hold button power 30 sec long.
Then insert the battery and plug AC adapter still does that help?

By the way: this is the BIOS updated? If this isn't the case, perform an update.

  • Satellite A100-011 has stopped working - battery light flashes

    Hello!

My phone has recently stopped working.
No warning before, just don't flat line... :(

When I try to turn it on, the third fire left (the batery light) starts to Flash.

I guess what I'm trying to find, that's if the problem is with the AC adapter or should I wait for something worse.

    Can someone tell me, please?
    Thank you very much
    J.

    Hi guys

Usually if the laptop won't turn on properly then a hardware problem was detected.

In many cases workaround posted by Feliks (remove the battery and adapter, wait 30 minutes, reconnect the two parts and try to power upward) could contribute to power the laptop but if this workaround doesn't help then a help from a technician of the ASP is necessary and indispensable.

From my own experience press any additional buttons will not help you so I think that question is related to a hardware problem that should be checked by ASP.

    Good luck

  • HP 8710W (p/n: GT648PA #ABG): 8710W does not start - the battery light flashes orange 7 times then 1 green.

Troubleshooting done so far: I removed (even the RTC) battery, hard drive and memory. Hold the power button for 30 sec.

When I re - install the battery and press the power button, it flashes 7 times orange, and then Green 1. Same thing happens with or without the power supply is connected.

The laptop does well (no fan, no disc doesn't sound etc.) and the screen stays off (i.e. no splash screen).

I thought it was a dead battery, as it was 8 + years, so bought a new replacement. Unfortunately, there no fixed and I still have the same problems with the new battery.

How to decode what mean hot flashes?

What else can we test it before I bin the laptop? I would have preferred not to do so as he has been a full rock performer and the 17 "display is fantastic as a desktop replacement.

    Any suggestion is appreciated.

    Thank you.

Unfortunately, this seems to be a motherboard problem. After eight years of service, it is left for a digital camera never never land.

Unfortunately, it's time to bin and source of a replacement book.

You can retrieve data from the hard drive using a cable or a drive enclosure hard usb 2.5 ".

I understand your disappointment. Workstations are portable very special and very expensive to replace.

  • Pavilion DV7-3162nr: HP Pavilion DV7-3162nr does not turn on and the battery light flashes during charging

I was upgrading my HP DV7-3162nr for windows 10 when all of a sudden the laptop stopped working and would not turn.

The power adapter is plugged in and battery led was flashing. Now battery led does not at all depend on. When I press the Start button the laptop would try to start then turn off after about one second. However most of the time when when I press the button nothing happens.

I took out the battery and tried to immediately start the alternating current, but the laptop is like there is no power. The led near the power connector is on the AC adapter is plugged in. I checked the tension between the adapter and it is correct to about 19 volts, I even loaded to 1.5 Amps and voltage remained close to 19 volts. I tried now on the button for more than one minute with applied power (no battery or AC) and no change when I tried to start with just AC.  The battery is old, but shouldn't the laptop run on just the AC adapter with the battery installed? I do not think that windows 10 has done this, but it's a weird coincidense that he died during the upgrade.

I read about simular problems with flags of HP but nothing exactly like it.  The fact that I can not turn on the laptop with just the adapter seems to be a problem really bad.

Anyone has any ideas I can try to let me know

I was able to fix my laptop.

I thought that it must be a hardware problem, because the laptop would not run just the adapter. And the adapter was good, as I said, he had the right voltage and can support the load.  So after looking at a lot of U tube videos on how to disassemble laptops and looking for schematics on the laptop which I couldn't find. I disassembled the laptop and a beep on the load circuit and it showing. What I found, it was a bad MosFet at the beginning of the charging circuit. The MosFet P/N P0603BDG has shorted door to the Source.  I was able to get the part of China via Ebay for less than $5.00 total and it took a week to arrive.

Now, the laptop charging the new battery and works very well. I could have found the bad MosFet faster if I had diagrams. Does anyone know if it is possible to get the schematics for this HP laptop? I found a manual and it helped a bit to disassemble the laptop, but he had nothing on the main map.

This problem is now solved hope it helps someone out there.

  • Satellite 1800-100: battery light is still orange flashing, not charging

    Hello
I have a S1800 Satellite laptop series and I used it for a long time. But yesterday, I'm very disappointed by a strange event. Now I have no solution, please help...

Situation: While my laptop was working in battery mode (no air-con plugged), I was copying some files from my HARD drive, then suddenly portable inside out, I thought it happened because the accusation was over and I plugged adapter to load as usual, but NO charge!

Battery light FLASHES with the orange color and not charging, when the AC adapter is connected, the laptop works normal without error but if I unplug the AC adapter, the laptop turns off immediately. This shows that even though it is plugged in for 6 hours, but without costs as I said there is no advance fees.

I got this new situation and my local Toshiba service rejected my request due to the old mode of my laptop.

    My last chance is here

    Help, please.

    Best regards...

    Hello

Well, if the battery LED blinks orange indicating a low battery charge.
If the led blinks during the adapter is plugged, so in my opinion, the battery cannot be charged. Maybe the battery is dead. This is possible because you can recharge the battery, about 500 times. After this period, the battery will lose performance and dead.

I have checked the plug, unplugged the power cord from the laptop and plugged back again but does not help. A few times it started loading so everything went well and now he again refuses to load.

Any suggestions how I can solve this will be highly appreciated.

    Looks like a hardware problem

Usually if the power light blinks then it does not sound good because the LED provides an error code which can be read by a technician for laptop

But before you will contact the technician for laptop for help, try to do it:
Remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter from the portable computer
Wait about 20-30 minutes and then reconnect the two parts.

Then try to turn on the laptop

If it doesn t help that it s time for the call of the ASP
