Low resolution on retina display

It seems that muse adobe opens in low resolution on retina display. I used to have the same problem with adobe acrobat, but in this case I solved the problem by following the procedure described in: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1298242. This procedure, however, does not work with muse. Can someone help me?

  • Photoshop UI loading low resolution on retina MBP

    Hi all

For the past few weeks (I don't remember exactly when it started, so I can't tell if an update has caused), the user interface of Photoshop CC 2015 has been low dpi on my 2015 13 "MacBook Pro of retina. This is the interface: frame text interface user and icons, buttons close/minimize/maximize on the application, start to load, all modal dialog boxes, etc. All loading low DPI, visibly pixelated on the screen high resolution.

There has been some updates since I first noticed the issue (and I'm perfectly up-to-date now), but none of them were fixed.

I tried to restart my Mac, dumping my preferences, uninstall extensions, disabling the GPU acceleration, toggling the display in the preferences system resolution (the problem persists on all modes of scaling, including mode 'more space', which maps the pixels of the interface device pixel 1:1) and finally, completely uninstall and reinstall the app CC Photoshop. None of my other CC apps share the question.

I have an Apple Thunderbolt external Display that I use sometimes. The problem persists with and without the connected display (and through the above troubleshooting steps with and without display).

I did troubleshooting above with the people of @AdobeCare on Twitter, and they asked that I post my case here.

Any thoughts on how to solve this problem?

    Thank you

  • Resolution in Ubuntu 13.04 (Retina Display)

I try to use VMware Fusion 5.0.3 in a MacBook Pro with the retina (15 inches). The idea is to run Ubuntu Linux 13.04 in a virtual machine, but I have problems with the resolution of the screen.

When I use the default settings, the highest available inside Ubuntu resolution is 2560 x 1600. Using this resolution, everything seems small, but the picture is not very clear. It seems that the OS tried to simulate a high resolution on a low resolution screen (which is not the case). Using the resolution 1680 x 1050, the size of the text and images is fine, but things are not as sharp as they could be.

My second attempt was to go to the VM > settings > display > use full resolution for the Retina display. In this case, the highest resolution available in Ubuntu is 3360 x 2100, which is higher than the true resolution of my screen (2880 x 1800 - that is not an option). With the help of high resolutions like this makes the very strong image, but everything seems too small. It is really hard to use. Using a resolution as 1920 x 1200 seems to be a good compromise. The image is fine and the size of the text and images is OK. However, as soon as I restart Ubuntu, the resolution is defined as the highest one available (3360 x 2100). Does anyone else have this problem?

I also tried to use the highest resolution available (3360 x 2100) and configure Ubuntu so that the size of the text, images, and applications is not too small. However, I have not managed to configure everything properly. Most applications (like Firefox) appear smaller things as they should. No idea how to Setup Ubuntu in a display resolution properly high?

Anyone could set up Ubuntu 13.04 in a Retina display?

    Thank you very much!

    HI tiagobt,

[...] However, as soon as I restart Ubuntu, the resolution is defined as the highest one available (3360 x 2100). Does anyone else have this problem?

I just tried and noted this as well. 13.04 Ubuntu, I put the 1920 x 1200 resolution, suspend the virtual machine, take back the virtual machine, it changes the resolution of 2880 x 1800. (mine caps there, which is what it should do).  I'll tell the engineers.

Using this resolution, everything seems small, but the picture is not very clear. It seems that the OS tried to simulate a high resolution on a low resolution screen (which is not the case). Using the resolution 1680 x 1050, the size of the text and images is fine, but things are not as sharp as they could be.

It's actually not the case.  You got an image of low density pixel on a screen high pixel density.  When it is small, it is rendered pixels at 1:1 (or near) ratio.  There are actually of 2880 x 1800 physical pixels on the screen of the Mac.  Linux does not have the ability to be more 'dense' as how Apple has tweaked OS X for this view.  Same reason that Windows search chunky to 'normal' the resolution and tiny at 1:1.

Ubuntu is not designed for a high display resolution, so what you're doing to cram in it will be met with compromise.  If they had a way to specify the density of the rendering of the GUI, you can affect the resolution of 2880 x 1800 and Ubuntu would make the size / proportioned like 1440 x 900, but be super crispy.

  • Allow high-resolution Retina display

Version 11.0.0 downloaded compared to the creative clouds on iMac screen 5 K Retina (Yosemite). Acrobat Pro opens in low resolution - all the text.images appears blurry/bitmap/low resolution.

Watching the news of requests: 'Open in a low resolution' is checked and grayed out, so it cannot be changed.

I saw a few hacks to solve this problem, we have you should go in the happy / info.plist and add<key>NSHighResolutionCapable</key>
    <string>True</string> just before </dict>

I'm not want to do, more sounds like it will be glitchy.

Please the next update would allow high-resolution Retina display. Thank you.

Thank you Adobe, a day later, you release 11.0.09 that solved this problem.

  • Problems with the retina display resolution

    Hello

I have a macbook pro (2015) with a retina display 15 "that I can't seem to adjust to the correct resolution. The native resolution, as I understand it, is supposed to be 2880 x 1800. I can't see my resolution when I put its "default value to display" in system preferences, but if I change it to "scaling", it is said that the default resolution "looks like 1440 x 900". Even when I go to the maximum the space option, it doesn't give me that 'looks at 1920 x 1200.

When I up resolutions for the screens of the retina, it looks like the scale at 1440 x 900 option is supposed not to be available for the 13 "display.

The native resolution is not supposed to be available in the options when the scale is selected. What you need is respectful of the eye from the App Store, which will increase the resolution above the option 'More space' completely in the native resolution.

  • Low resolution for display on start upward.

    Win XP, SP3,
recently, at startup, you can view the res and color to a minimum.
Can not reset in the Control panel/display/settings, but can return you to display appropriate with restoration (but it's slow!), so all software must operate?
    Tried reloading the display driver.
Considered the responses of Microsoft Help.

No recent change in hardware or software - with the exception of regular updates, etc.
When support good res and max everything fine color.

    Any ideas?

  • Unable to set the display resolution, Intel HD 4600 in Device Manager displays ' generic non-pnp monitor low resolution.

I am slot as Windows 7 Pro on a Dell Intel 64 bit pc with a screen HD Dell I5 and Intel HD graphics 4600 driver.  PC woke up a few hours of inactivity, after no updates known to windows or other programs, with icons and pages double size beyond the limits of the monitor, setting the low resolution and Device Manager showing ' no generic pnp monitor low resolution ' instead of 'Monitor Dell HD' and no option to increase the resolution.  No help with reset, not restoration, disconnection and reconnection monitor auto plug n Play, 'Search new device', 'add a device', update of the graphics driver, reinstall the drivers from the Dell monitor.  Troubleshooting peripheral reported to date and working correctly.  After I finally uninstalled driver restarted, and graphic displays "default monitor" Device Manager (no longer "generic low resolution"), no graphics driver identified, but don't allow me to change to a higher resolution.  New windows had to be individually size / expanded to fill the screen.  This can be corrected?  I want to optimize my display settings for this monitor.  I have reinstall my graphics driver or just be happy that I can use my computer?  Thank you.

Call Dell.  Your monitor should have a 3-year warranty.  Your matching OptiPlex with a warranty of one year more.

Also, check all the hidden and invisible buttons on the monitor.  Someone may have inadvertently changed one of these.

  • Stuck in low resolution, 640 x 480. I can't change the display resolution

HP Pavlion p7 - 1247c. I'm stuck at 640 x 480. I can get to the resolution setting change, but the display setting is grayed out so I'm stuck at 640 x 480. I can boot into safe mode and I can't change resolution while in mode without failure, but not when I boot normally. I tried a system restore how it was first delivered to me. I can't complete the initial installation, because I'm in 640 x 480 and I can't see or click on the button continue because it's off the screen.  I found there a boot at low resolution option which is where I seem to be stuck. I can't find a way to disable the start-up at low resolution. In addition, it seems that initial Setup requires a wide aspect ration monitor. This does not work with my old monitor who will be 1280 x 1024, but is stuck at 640 x 480.

Looks like I finally figured it was the DVI cable that shipped with the computer. I swapped the cable with another computer and now it works.

I guess I should be happy to have solved the problem, but I'm not. Perhaps because the solution was too simple and it took me so long to try it.

I delivered the computer back to HP for no reason, they replaced the motherboard for no reason. I lost a lot of my time for no reason. I lost the time of four different technical support.

I think the real reason I tried swapping the cable is the last tech support guy said that he would not be the cable. This proves just that sometimes it's the easiest part of the whole system that can cause the most problems.

If one HP had shipped a good cable in the first place.  :-(

  • DropShadow object displays low resolution

We have an InDesign CS3 document that has a shadow on the preview area. The shadow was created in InDesign using InDesign feature rather than the use of images. When control us upstream it displays an error such as the image of low resolution, the resolution is less than 200 dpi. Usually, we create the PS through PDF files. But clear the error on the two PS PDF and PDF export.

  • logo JPEG to PDF display low resolution in reader but ok in acrobat DC, any ideas why?

I gave a client a jpeg of their company logo which they have downloaded on their ticket service online. The system they use generates a PDF tickets. The customer complained that the logo is not rendered correctly in Acrobat Reader. I was sent one of these tickets and seen in Acrobat reader logo is low-resolution and has a grey box behind it, it also prints like that also. However in Acrobat DC it renders correctly and also prints correctly.

I appreciate more info is probably required on which system is used to generate the PDF file, , but someone have any ideas on what could be the cause? They do not have problems with any other graphic they transferred.

    Try Acrobat Reader DC.

  • Blurry images on the Retina display

    Dear all,

I have two iMac 27', one of 2010 and a whole new one retina.

    The topic is:

Editing some pictures on photoshop for my site on the retina of display but the photos seem a little obscure, as a low resolution...
Edit the photos exactly the same on my old iMac and the perfect look of photos!

Same size, same resolution, same photoshop.

To be sure, I saved the two photos for the web on iMacs and then open them with the application overview on both screens.

Even, perfect on old screen and a little little point clear or blurry on the retina.

    Someone knows why?

This happens only on photos, texts and stuffs are supa clear on the Retina display, but I noticed that most of the websites I visit display pictures unclear!

So I guess that the problem is not the way that I save my photos or computer that I use.

looking forward to read from you guys.

    Jules.

On the regular iMac, an image that is 400 pixels may appear as about 3 inches long on this screen. However, on your iMac to the retina, that image would be on a 1.5 inch. This is because the iMac has double the resolution, but the same retina display size. Which makes things look great. The downside is, it can also make things look small. To avoid this, the iMac of retina automatically stretches everything so a 400 pixel image on the regular iMac seems the same size on the Retina display. If you set a picture on, you know it can become blurred.  The solution to optimize your images for the Retina of your iMac display is to use higher resolution images. If you take a picture only twice as large that it must be on a traditional screen and squish it down for display on your Web site, it will look sharp for normal users. Then, when he's nervous for someone on an iMac of retina, you're going to be displayed at its original size - and it will always look perfect. There are ways to check the zoom level of the web browser and provide different versions of images on this basis. HTML5 offers tools to help with this. Another solution is to use vector graphics to SVG.
