Hello

The models that you have downloaded to Lightroom, they are the model of Presets to develop?

And the computer on which you are working on, it's a Mac or Windows.

If all model files are then displayed as the PS Logo, the association of file type that needs to be changed.

For Windows: Right click on the file > open with > and select the application

For Mac: Hold down the CTRL key and click on the file > then select open with > and the application

Please let me know if it helps.

  • The value of jpg to open in photoshop CS6

I'm trying to open in my newly installed Photoshop CS6 when you navigate in Explorer to jpg.
I tried to go to the "set Associations", and does not appear in the 'recommended' or 'Other' programs Photoshop and when I hit the button 'Browse... "I can choose to Photoshop but it does not always show in the 'Open with' window, so only selects for use. The same thing happens if I click with the right button on a JPG file and select 'open with '. I can search and select Photoshop, but after I clicked "Open" it does not add Photoshop to the list and does not open in Photoshop.
I have tried with several JPG files, can open the file in the photoshop program and had photoshop to set as default, when I got CS3. How can I get it work?

Found a fix - if anyone else has this problem:

Problem: Photoshop CS6 is not an option as default program for jpg/jpeg in Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. Not even when you navigate to the program.

Solution: If you pin a jpg from your desktop into ch you then right-click on the jpg file and define the program by default Photoshop CS6.*
When you click and drag the file down to the icon of the Ps. place the cursor on the icon of the Ps and gives you the opportunity to pin the Photoshop file via the suspicion of the tool. When you see this option, release. If you right-click on the Ps icon you will see a list of recent items and your pinned file should be at the top.

This patch brings photoshop in the "other programs" list so that you can now activate other files open in Photoshop as well.

Note *: it is also the solution if you have a similar problem with using "Open in external editor" InDesign and the jpg/jpeg opens in one program other than photoshop. PIN just a jpg in photoshop.

  • Want to get an overview with the photo viewer and open with Photoshop

Hello.  In all previous versions of Windows, I was able to do.  Right-click on an image and the 'Preview' option would open the image in the Windows Photo Viewer, and the option 'Open' it would open in Photoshop (or whatever the editor, I had chosen).  I just installed Windows 7 and I seem to be unable to get to do this.  If I select "Photo Viewer" as the default program for jpg files, I have TWO options 'Preview' in the right click menu.  Both will open it in Photo Viewer.  If I select Photoshop as the default program for jpg files, I get a 'Preview' and 'Open' option, but both open the image in Photoshop.

How can I configure "Preview" with Photo Viewer, and 'open' with Photoshop?

Thanks for the tips of registry.  I managed to find and fix the problem.  I tried to fix paint.net as the program open by default, and it has open in paint.net and presented in preview in Photo Viewer.  So I thought it was something to go astray with Photoshop.  Under HKEY_Classes_Root\Photoshop.JPEGFile.9\shell, there is a key-file for 'Preview '.  I deleted who, and now it opens in photoshop and previews in Photo Viewer.

  • I installed a new version of InDesign and now when I click on an InDesign file, it tries to open in Photoshop.

I recently upgraded to InDesign and now all my InDesign files try to open in Photoshop. I tried to change how these files open by right-clicking on the file and choose open with. Photoshop is the recommended program. I unchecked "always use the selected program to open this type of file", click on browse and I found InDesign in the Program Files (X 86) folder and clicked on the InDesign program but nothing has changed. Any suggestions?

No problem, it seems that the program is well hang in the registry. This should fix it. If not, let me know and I'll dig through some databases to see if I can find a solution.

  • 6 Lightroom will not Raw files open in Photoshop CS6 (Nikon d5 and d800)

I recently bought a Nikon D5 and have nothing else had problems with reading and opening the files.  I have Photoshop cS6 and had 5 of Lightroom.  I contacted adobe when I couldn't even import my files even after doing all the updates.  They advised me to buy Lightroom 6 upgrade and I have more questions.  So I did and I was able to import my raw files from the D5 but still I can't open them in Photoshop anyway.

After much research I found that I have to convert each file to a DNG (frustrating ONE - if he will in bulk.)  Believe me, I tried different ways).  Then, once it is converted, I can open it in photoshop.

Still more frustrating is that now even my files between my d800 can't be opened in photoshop without first be converted to DNG one by one.  It wasn't a problem until I downloaded Lightroom 6.  Can someone help me please?  Why can't I simply open the raw between d800 and d5 as usual files.  I don't want to convert you to DNG.  I downloaded all the updates for both programs.  I have also uninstalled and reinstalled lightroom 6.  All advice is appreciated.  It is a puzzle.

convert each file to a DNG (frustrating ONE - if he will in bulk.)

The DNG Converter is designed to convert files in both folders in bulk.

    What is your workflow?

Camera Raw: How to use Adobe DNG Converter - YouTube

A conversion of files at once would be very laborious. I can understand your frustration if that's what you do.

Devices supported by Adobe Camera Raw

Camera Raw plugin and Adobe application compatibility

D5 has been initially supported by Camera Raw 9.5 (= cloud Photoshop only) and Lightroom 6.5 (or the Cloud version)

The D800 was first supported by Camera Raw 7.1 (CS6) and Lightroom 4.1.

So you should have no problem with Raw D800 files in Photoshop CS6 or Lightroom 6 and you will be able to open D5 Raw with Lightroom (but), the files provided that you upgrade to version 6.5 (not previous versions).

You will never be able to open Raw D5 with Photoshop CS6 files. Use Lightroom 6.5 for this then save as DNG. Then, open the DNG in CS6.

Or join the Cloud and open Raw D5 files in Photoshop CC without converting them to DNG.

  • Picture resized in Lightroom is changing dimensions open in Photoshop

Help! My photographer works with my graphic designer to develop a cookbook for me.

The designer gave the photographer the dimensions for images, which applies the photographer to images in Lightroom before exporting it as a high-resolution JPEG.

The graphic designer is open these files, but the size of the image is different when it is opened in Photoshop.

The photographer is exporting to 406 x 276 mm from when the same image is opened in Photoshop Lightroom, it does 352,72 x 239,78 mm

We are perplexed everything that happens.

No one knows how or why an image would re-size after be registered to a specific size?

First check the pixel dimensions. If they are identical, the file itself is unchanged.

Physical dimensions are always a secondary attribute, derived in pixel editors like Photoshop and Lightroom.

The file is entirely defined by its dimensions in pixels. Then a physical print size stems from the resolution which is defined, and this can be arbitrary i.e. pixels can be printed at any size by changing the resolution figure.

Print size = pixels per inch (ppi). This can be changed in Image > Image size. So much that "resample image" is not checked, this does change in any way the content of the file itself.

  • Adjustmens disappeared after you open in photoshop

At the time, I have a strange problem. If I make a few adjustmens in mode "try" and after I open the picture in photoshop and then back to lightroom, the adjustmens disappeared.

I hope someone can help me with this...

If I make an adjustment in Lightroom on the DNG file, for example the highlights and then open it in Adobe Photoshop and back to Lightroom, adjustments have disappeared... These SLA arrive with Tif and PSD. If I open Adobe Photoshop with a DNG file, there is no options, Photoshops opens directly. I don't want to open with "Copy with LR adjustments", because I want to change only the adjustments in Lightroom, so that I can always change it...

I reinstall Lightroom and I remove the plugins, but the problem remains...

Not sure what you mean when you say "when I come back to LR adjustments disappeared? What file are you watching? The original DNG or the SAVED TIF or PSD that is added to the LR catalog, once it is sent to, edited in PS and saved.

Please not that the library module cannot display the most recent adjustments in the develop module. What is displayed in the library module is an overview LR creates and it takes time for the previews to be updated with the most recent adjustment.

If you look at the saved TIF or PSD referred to LR these images are totally new and won't list the LR adjustment in the Panel of historical develop LR module.

If you look at the original DNG in the develop module and you 'think' adjustments were removed look at the section of history on the left to see if nothing is indicated.

Just you get only these options when you send a TIF, PSD or a JPG to Psalm allows so working on what you see when you send an original image of Leica DNG in PS with LR adjustments. (P. S. I have also used Leica cameras most of my life and had 2 M8s)

Also please stop saying 'Open in PS' and start to use "send to or change in ' PS for myself and others don't get confused that you use Bridge or PS to open the image in PS.

  • Why won't my NAVE of Nikon D5 files not open in Photoshop CS6 on iMac

Why my NAVE of Nikon D5 files will not open in Photoshop CS6 on iMac running the Version OS X 10.9.5?

    Hi Houstonjim,

The device you use Nikon D5 is supported with Camera Raw 9.5 and above, you need the latest version of Photoshop.

As Photoshop CS6 will not update later that Camera Raw 9.1.1, or you can install the DNG Converter and convert the NEF files to DNG, and then use them in Photoshop.

You can always consult the following link for a list of devices supported by Camera Raw: supported by Adobe Camera Raw devices

  • photos from Lightroom will be not automatically open in Photoshop 13

I have an iMac 27 "end 2012, Yosemite, Lightroom 5 and 13 items running. I have Photoshop Elements selected in Lightroom "change in" and in the Lightroom preferences, I have Photoshop selected 13 items.

When I select a photo in Lightroom to open in Photoshop Elements (i.e. in Lightroom, I chose "Edit in"), PSE 13 OPENS but the photo is never there. I looked and looked in PSE 13 for the photo from Lightroom, and I'm not.

Oddly, a copy of the photo appears in Lightroom in grid mode. Is driving me crazy! I can drag a photo into the components icon and it will open in the elements, but then I don't know how to get it back in Lightroom with changes unless I have enregistrer to save on my desktop, then drag in the Lightroom icon. I understand that it is supposed to work in a transparent manner if I do something wrong.

Yosemite has a history of breaking CS5 installed.

    The CS5 installers are here:

You also need to change your security settings for "Anywhere" temporarily or OSX may block the installation.

Now I have to go to the bridge, find the photo, click on and it will be opened in Photoshop and I can change.  What happened, and I would like to be able to open a single photo quickly by right-clicking and choosing Photoshop.  As I said, this option is more on the list.

Another problem is that when I open Bridge I get a window said msg / asking me to clear the cache of thumbnails in the preferences.  I did, but I still get the msg.everytime I open the bridge.  I did this several times.  So, I don't know whether or not the cache is purged.  What is the problem.  BTW, this happened before that I've upgraded to Windows 10 of 8.1.

    Hi Jdd,

Please go to the following location on your computer C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 and rename Photoshop.exe Photoshop CC 2015.exe

Once that is done, then please go ahead and right-click on the image and select Photoshop app to browse and you should be able to do as an option.
