  I have LR 6.0 on my Mac and used to check for updates. It returns a new update, it is then downloaded. LR6 restarts, it's always to version 6.0. I rebooted several times and run Adobe Application Manager, but it's still just 6.0. Now when I check the updates, it hangs just updater (I have to force enough after about 15 minutes).

  What should I do next? I missed a step initially? It IE should not automatically update update LR6 or was there something more, that I should have done?

  Unplug all external devices.

  Try to start in safe mode. If you can start in safe mode, and then do a system restore to restore the computer to an earlier point in time.

  Change the recovery settings to disable automatic reboot, if you are able to boot up to the desktop computer:

  1.	Right-click my computerand then click Properties.
  2.	Click the Advanced tab.
  3.	Under Startup and recovery, click settings to open the Startup and recovery dialog box.
  4.	Clear the automatically restart check box, and then click OK many times necessary.
  5.	Restart your computer so that the settings take effect.

  Now, when you are going to close and a fatal error occurs, you will see at least and it won't cause an automatic restart.

  Please reply back with the error message you get because it helps us to resolve the error.

  Start the automatic updates service
  Click Start. Choose run.
  In the run box, type services.msc.
  Click OK.
  Right-click the automatic updates service.
  Click Start.
  Starting the service will take a moment.

  By removing the contents of the download folder - you have removed the downloaded updates.

  I'm currently under OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 and I try to download and install macOS Sierra.  I tried several times and whenever the download stops at 2.15 GB with the message macOS that Sierra could not download use the purchases page to try again.  When I go to the shopping page I see a category for other purchases that lists the Sierra macOS.  However, the button has the text in red next to it indicating that an error has occurred and the button has no text.  By clicking the button does nothing.  I restart and remove partial downloading of applications to try again.  See screenshot below.
