My new M30 PC refuses to boot. The toshiba drive check reports errors, but does not resolve. Is there a tool for Toshiba hard drive?

Hi F

Have you tried to start Notepad in a safe mode? Try to start it and check if it is possible to start the scan disk.

Can you please tell me what you mean with Toshiba drive to a disk check?

I tried many schemes proposed in this forum and at least a dozen different ways to do El Capitan boot camp Windows. I have run csrutil disable recovery and used the utility gdisk to rewrite the workout plan to use GPT.  It seems to go as far as the installation of all files of Windows 10 then I get the message Windows "Windows didn't prepare the computer to start the next phase of the installation.» To install Windows, restart the installation. "I tried bcdboot c:\windows and manually enter the drive and also the partition GUID I recorded option detail gdisk. But I get errors co so there is something that has always does not run.

I have not yet tried Rufus. I used unetbootin to make my Windows 10 microsoft 64-bit ISO flash player. I also have an OEM Windows 8 disc bought three years ago. I am a little concerned by the barking of multiple trees simultaneously.

It's a MacBookPro6, 1 EFI and SMC confirm current. 8 GB Crucial RAM. The SuperDrive doesn't work, or my burner USB Pioneer BD-204 (with confirmation last firmware, which actually turns into a BD-205) will allow you to install windows despite offering an optical EFI partition after the option - reboot. I was able to get Windows installed from a USB key that I did leave an ISO download unetbootin Using Microsoft as described. Maybe Rufus has solved this problem?

I am entirely prepared to scrub the entire disk (that I had actually done yesterday, by a genius) and start from scratch if I could just find a step - who would work in reality. I really need to boot camp Windows 8 or 10 of this machine again.

I'm even ready to install another internal drive instead the SuperDrive for boot camp Windows, but I want to assure you that I have does not work in the same exact questions if I take this step.

Also boot camp just offers me the possibility to specify an ISO standard, there isn't that two not three check boxes and whenever I try from the disk, I get the black 'system unboot press a button' block after it restarts.

I also edited info.plist of boot camp to add my model to the list of the 32 bit patterns.

There is absolutely no problem backup etc., yesterday, the genius was so smart that he told me to try a Microsoft store.

Please help this is going on 10 days, that I tried to fix this now. Should I go back to the Apple Store and ask them to put the Mavericks on this? That's how I got 8.1 Windows boot planted three years ago.

  • XP don't boot-computer did not come with the XP CD

XP boot not - need XP Recovery CD, but it came pre-loaded on my computer, w/no CD.  Any suggestions?

Use the XP Recovery Console to check the file system on your drive HARD and correct all problems of integrity of system files caused by problems of power supply interruption and then try to start your system - this may be all you need to do to get your system running.
Boot into the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD.
If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.
This is not the same as recovery disks that may have come to a store to purchase the system.
You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.
The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:
    xp_rec_con. ISO
    Download the ISO from here:
Use this free and easy program to create your bootable CD:
Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:
    ? showtopic = 61
It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.
You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are
done before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.
When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:
Press any key to boot from CD...
    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.
Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.
Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)
You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).
You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same thing you see in the Explorer folder C:\WINDOWS.
RC allows commands the base - copy, rename, replace, delete file, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.
In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.
Running chkdsk is very well run even if she can't find any problems.
Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:
    CHKDSK C: /r
Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.  It may take a long time to complete or seem to be 'glued '.  Be patient.  If the HARD drive light flashes, it's something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.
You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.
Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the RC and restart the computer.
You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.
Once finished the chkdsk/r, see if your system boots.  If this is not the case, to do this:
The next time that your system has rebooted, start tapping the F8 key until you see the menu Boot Options Advanced XP.  On the Advanced Boot Options menu, select:
Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure
This will display the error message that you don't see when the system restarts.  This is what Windows is supposed to do when there a failure - it is supposed to automatically restart.  The error you see on the screen has your clues...
If you do not see the menu Options start Advancded or you do not have to turn it off automatic restart on option system in the list of choices, you need to try again until you do.  Start typing the F8 key earlier and more frequently as your system begins to come alive.  If you miss the window of opportunity F8, you must try again.

Do not guess what the problem might be - understand and resolve it. I need YOUR voice and the points for helpful answers and propose responses. I'm saving for a pony!

  • BSOD flashes for only a microsecond, can not find the way to disable autoreboot without booting properly and may not start successfully

I get at my wits end here on this one.  This morning my antivirus (AVG) wanted software reboot to continue the installation.  I put it off several times and then finally said ok for her.  Since then, I am not able to boot into Windows (Vista Home Edition, updates are on, it should be whatever the latest version is).  I see a blue microsecond Flash long on my screen after a certain point, each time, but my eyes are not enough fast to handle some error code it gives.

Safe mode does not load in any of its iterations.  Try to repair it with the installation disc, and he informed me usefully could not find a problem.  Is it possible to either freeze the computer on the error at this point (so I can understand what the underlying problem is?)  Or do I have to have a fancy paperweight?

Unplug all devices from your PC - printer, USB phone cables, etc.

Try to repair the operating system using the installation of drives now and see if it detects a problem.

Do you see an option - "Last good known Configuration" tapped "F8" permanently? If so, try this.

  • Satellite M30-241, unable to boot

    Hello!

I had a Satellite SM30-241, age of 5 years. The problem is that I can't start for three days. Last week, he started with the advice that there is not enough RAM, but it has 1.2 GB of RAM and this has never been a problem. So sometimes the monitor (external) was black (not showing any image) for 1-2 seconds, but I was able to complete my work. The next day the screen stays black and I could not shut down the computer properly. After that I could not start it more. It works for 2-3 seconds showing me the first image with the TOSHIBA etc. and then the HARD drive stops working.

I checked if the HARD disk and RAM are connected properly but everything was fine.
So, I put t know what could be the problem, if it's the drive, graphics card, or on the motherboard. Do you know similar problems?
    Thanks for your response!

    Hi Wray,

You can access the BIOS, and if so, is the HDD that are listed there?

Otherwise, try a version of Linux CD live-system, e. g., or try reinstalling Windows.

If that doesn t work, it s a hardware malfunction

  • G62 laptop don't boot-DST short failed

Hi, I have a 2 years, HP G62 - 407DX Notebook PC that will not be in service.  It doesn't have the start, lapping, sytem update and test drive with a short outage DST in each.  The error is QE07W4-5HK6GC-XDO141-60WQ03, hard disk 1.  Any suggestions on how to proceed?  Thank you.

    You are the very welcome.

Replacing a hard drive is easy to do.

See the manual on the link below, Chapter 4.

    http://bizsupport2.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c02641795/c02641795.PDF

If you don't want to purchase recovery discs for your HP PC (that you can find info on the link below), you can also make your own Windows 7 If installation disc you can read the 25-character windows product key 7 on the bottom of your PC.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/bph07143

Here is the info on how to make your own install of W7 disc.

If you can read the Microsoft windows 7 25-character product key, you can download simple Windows 7 ISO files to burn on a DVD for the version of windows that is installed on your PC, and which is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC case.

Burn the ISO with the option to burn the ISO on your DVD burning program and burn it at the slowest possible speed that will allow your program. This will create a bootable DVD.

Or use the installation of Windows 7 USB/DVD tool to compile the ISO file that you download from Digital River. Link and instructions below. You need a 4 GB flash drive to use the USB compilation method.

    http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msstore/HTML/pbPage.Help_Win7_usbdvd_dwnTool

Use 25 characters on the PC product key to activate the installation.

The key will activate a 32 or 64 bit installation.

Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.

Link to downloads ISO of W7 is below.

  • Don't boot to desktop-Boot computer ups always come with "no input signal" for monitor

Thanks for the research on this issue.  So first of all, he could start after a few attempts in the end goes to the blue screen error at approx. 5 min. I started this path several times that in "safe mode with network" to try the many suggestions of repair for two days. " At this point, it's freezing just at "windows is loading files", but probably will go to blue screen error. Boot ups always come with "no input signal" for the monitor and signal switching in the Help menu for 5 min periods I've mentioned and then fails or "monitor going to sleep" occurs.

The error messages rec'vd: corrupted image, corrupted file and header file check sum does not match the sum of computer control. The recommendations of the screen blue: disable the BIOS memory, any material current or drivers and check disk space.

Some tent to fix: memory diagnostics and it showed 'no problem', checked monitor on another computer and it works, in a session of 5 min a download to 'fix' Microsoft via a USB problem like "search of windows crashes" but was 'unable to set', a few other attempts would show the "windows installer has stopped working" preventing any action.

At the present time, am unable to start even with advanced at F8 options.  It's HP Pavilion 10/2007, with the help of HP. Its on a wireless network with a netbook, Blu - ray, occasionally a cell phone that works on windows live but none presents as a device.

    Hello

    ·        You did changes to the computer before the show?

    ·        What is the exact error message that you receive?

Method 1: Remove the external devices except the keyboard and mouse and try to restart the computer in safe mode and check if you can start inside.

If you are able to boot into safe mode then try a restore of the system it and check if it helps solve the problem:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/system-restore-frequently-asked-questions

Method 2: I suggest you do a system recovery options system restore and see if it helps:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-are-the-system-recovery-options-in-Windows-Vista

Method 3: If the system restore does not help then do a startup repair and check if this solves the problem.
