M40-101 and dual channel memory

Hello
can I feed my memory in dual channel mode if I have two identical? (PC2700 DDR)

Hello Mateuzs

It is a very interesting question. Have you already checked the BIOS settings? Is there a possibility to choose the memory Dual Channel mode?

I am very happy with my new computer laptop 17-j043cl of envy, but I see it came with 12 GB of RAM, 8 GB DIMMS and a 4 GB DIMMS.

If I replaced the 4 GB DIMMS with a 8 GB DIMM caller, the memory would be in dual-channel mode, offering a performance gain, or this computer only supports single channel memory?

More concretely, the performance gain would be sufficient to justify the effort?

(Although, really, I'd probably do it if there was even the slightest advantage of performance or efficiency.) "I'm just that kind of GUY!)

I'm curious to know if I can put a second stick of RAM in there for performance dual channel.

    Hi gremark,.

I understand you want to be sure of everything. I checked the service manual for this model and even tried to open a laptop of the same type and I can assure you that this model supports the double delivery. You can add up to a stick more than 4 GB of ram to increase the memory capacity.

    Hello

Qosmio F10 uses DDR RAM modules. This modules support dual channel.
As far as I know that you can upgrade the memory of max 2048MB and these modules are supported:
    PC2700 256 MB (PA3311U - 1 M 25)
    PC2700 512 MB (PA3312U - 1 M 51)

"Because I have heard that some programs might have problems with RAM dual channel." "And there is more chance for problems of" is it true?

    Help?

The best configuration for bandwidth, memory and performance is the use of two memory modules.  One in each location. The modules must be identical in all respects. Buy only guarantee compatible memory modules.

"Because I have heard that some programs might have problems with RAM dual channel." "And there is more chance for problems of" what you heard is not true. Just do a search online with unique compared to the memory dual channel mode channel as key wordsand you will see that what you were told is an invention.

  • G7-1329wm Pavilion: 1329wm RAM Dual Channel. Update the bios?

I bought 8 gigs of RAM laptop for my G7-1329wm Pavilion. Here it is:

    http://www.Amazon.com/GP/product/B00OUK919M?PSC=1&redirect=true&ref_=od_aui_detailpages00

It is already much faster than what I had before. My problem is that I expected to run at a speed of 2133 MHz and dual channel mode. CPU - Z does not have these results.

The two RAM slots show the same thing.

It made me start to wonder. Maybe my cell phone does not support dual channel mode or these speeds. So I was wondering if I could do a BIOS update if everything goes well accept more modern equipment and their speed. I checked in CPU - Z that my bios is old path, return from 2012. I couldn't find any support for an update through HP. Can an HP expert please let me know what I can do to get the most out of my RAM speed?

    Repair:

DDR3/1333 MHz (DDR3-1600 (1 GB / 2 GB / 4 GB / 8 GB) modules of memory supported as an alternative source for the DDR3-1333)

So max the card/motherboard/BIOS processor speed will allow the memory runs is at 1333 mhz. I'm frankly surprised the memory you have installed works at all. It's the equivalent of putting gasoline in an engine that can be only ordinary.

The problem goes well beyond BIOS. The chipset can operate at the maximum of 1600 mhz, and HP has set up to run at 1333.

    It is the specified memory:

    Memory modules (DDR3 10600 1333 MHz 2): 4 GB 621569-001

    http://www.Amazon.com/HP-621569-001-1333MHz-PC3-10600-SODIMM/DP/B005UF674S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&QID=1457907477&SR=8-1&keywords=621569-001

It may seem paradoxical, but your laptop can actually run a little faster and in double channel if you put in the slower memory. You can see there is a lot of information in gray in the CPU - Z I think because the system is not able to see all the technical features of memory, that she does not expect to be there.

  • [x 1 carbon] single channel or dual channel RAM?

I am very curious how the built-in RAM x 1 carbon is arranged? Is channel single or double channel?

    Hello feyi1986,

The carbon X 1 has built-in Dual Channel RAM.

It is suddenly a diagram I have internal carbon 1 X.

As you can see that it is Dual Channel.

The on-board memory is DDR3L and dual channel at 1333 MHZ, of course you travel to the Intel Ivy Bridge on the carbon X 1.

    Hope this helps,

    Alex

  • RAM is the only way but is dual channel configuration.

I have HP Pavilion a6000n, which has these capabilities of memory/features:

    • Dual channel memory architecture
    • Four connectors DIMM DDR2 240-pin
    • Supports the PC-6400 (800 MHz) DDR2 DIMM PC-4200 (533 MHz) and PC2-5300 (667 MHz)
    • Memory non - ECC, unbuffered
    • supports DIMM DDR2 2 GB modules
    • Supports up to 8 GB on 64-bit PCs
    • Supports up to 4 GB * on 32-bit PCs

I recently upgraded from 2x512mb (1 GB) DDR2 PC-4200 to 2x2gb (4GB) DDR2 PC-6400 installed configuration dual channel (connectors DIMM 1 & 3). The BIOS and my CPU - Z application illustrates that the memory works as single Channel.

This would indicate faulty RAM? Limitation of the motherboard? Any ideas? All inputs/advice is appreciated

    Thank you.

Thank you very much! Problem solved.

  • Check if the memory dual channel is activated

    Hi, I have a macbook pro 13 "Environment 2010 7.1 and I just upgraded ram from 4 to 16 GB (2x8gb).
I was wondering about dual channel, so my question is:

    (1) is my mb pro compatible with dual channel?

    (2) is it enabled by default?
    (3) hot to check?

I tried to check on cpu - z via bootcamp on windows7 64 bit but this memory tab is "grayed out", perhaps that cpu - z can not read this info (?).

    Thank you everyone

    Dual-Channel should be normal/standard...

The thing that probably do is install an SSD in your laptop to considerably improve the performance.

  • Aspire Revo R3700 memory does not work in dual-channel mode

    Hello

I have a Revo R3700 a few years now with 2 GB of memory. The PC came with the DDR3 10600 Hynix 1x2GB memory module.

I recently bought a second module of the same 2 GB of the same brand (Hynix) and part number.

After you install the BIOS and Windows detects 4 GB with no problems and everything seems to work fine, but CPU - Z tells me the following:

    (1) it is running in single channel and not dual-channel mode.

    (2) aren't 399 MHz and 800 MHz.

    3) SPD 1/2 bandwidth is 667 MHz and no 1333 MHz.

Do I need a BIOS update or configure something?

Sorry if I mix things up.

    Thanks in advance

    I've attached screenshots below.

Module original stock Acer is on the left. A new one on the right.

The Aspire AR3700 doesn't support dual channel. This system only supports single channel.

  • memory dual channel

on a 15 t cto w7 64 envy, how do the just installed 2 x 4 GB 1333 10600 dual channel dual channel kit? SPEC CPU - z is the memory correctly except that it says single channel? It has a processor i7

answer: you stick internally and put an external battery stick (expansion Bay). works like a charm with a better rate of 1 instead of 2 t t drive.

  • RAM upgrade: have to return another brand - what should I choose and I'll lose dual channel?

    Hi all

I spent some time looking for the forums for someone who faced a similar situation, but I couldn't find one. It was a little surprising, but good...

I have an inspiron 6400 with 1 GB of ram 4300 pc2 occupying only one memory card. I had planned this out when buying with the hope of upgrading in the future (i.e., now!). I understand that pc2 4300 is essentially the same as pc2 4200. cpuz shows me: Hyundai Electronics PC2-4300, DRAM: 266 MHz, FSB:DRAM 5:8. (?? This looks like a very impressive RAM stick, I'm right?). I can post more specifications if necessary.

I went on this Crucial ram site and had my system analyzed with their analysis tool, and recommended a second stick of RAM, but this time it's a pc2 5300 (667 MHz). My system is capable of dual channel, but my question is this: if I pair the pc2 installed by dell 4300 RAM with this stick of crucial pc2 5300, I'll have to dual channel? More important, I guess, it will count? I heard the benefit of the performance of the dual channel is about 15%, is that correct?

Everywhere that I've read, people point out that the two RAM sticks must be identical, but identical in what? Capacity will be the same, is it enough?

The other option is to buy a kit of 2 (5300) GB of crucial, but I had rather not throw a good stick of pc2 4300. Is this a good stick of RAM?

    Thanks in advance

  • Spectrum x 360 13: spectrum is x 360 13 support with memory dual channel

I want to buy the spectrum 360 13 x a few days later.

I've read the previous post, any set of spectrum x 360 is installed with only 1 on board memory.

My question is, the Board of Directors on performance memory taken supported dual channel?

I'll use laptop to play games, even if it is difficult to perform as well as those of office. But it's still a lot of difference between single channel or dual channel.

Also, I play DiableIII, path of exile or LoL etc...

Spectrum of HP x 360 13A aboard the single memory slot, they cannot be upgraded.

  • Add internal Bluetooth and/or Wireless N dual channel HP dv4-2164us

My computer is currently under warranty, so I'm not eager to open the machine until the computer comes out of the warranty.  Before opening the machine, so these are my questions:

    Quick questions for gurus.

I think to add internal bluetooth and/or Wireless N dual channel my computer to HP dv4-2164us.

    1. My MB has connections to add a separate internal bluetooth card?
    2. To clarify the question 2... If the MB CAN normally do, HP is usually to have the connectors removed from the Mo for these types of potential improvements?
    3. What bluetooth card do you recommend?
    4. I currently have 2.4 GHz wireless n.  A different card support double n AND bluetooth would be a better solution?
    5. If Yes to question 4 What considerations such as antenna or other changes should be aware of them before the decision?
    6. All this that imagine you being to consider

    Thanks in advance!

FYI, the Bluetooth does not have an antenna.
