M40X WLAN-disconnect

I use my M40X 112 in several of WLAN. In each WLAN, I had the same problem. Connection losses more and more.

Some other users have had the same problem, but there is no possibility to solve the problem.

What can I do? BIOS, Driver-WLAN, WLAN-tools - all to this day.
Connection-losses are from the first day on... several Access Points.

Kind regards
Frank Neitzel

    Hello

I think that the reason for this problem is that you WiFi signal is too weak in other rooms.
You can try to change the WiFi channel and may also try to disable Wlan energy saving
These parameters may be changed in the Device Manager-> card Wlan-> properties-> Advanced tab.

But to be honest I m not sure if this will help you.

  • Satellite P300: Sometimes WLan disconnect Internet

    Hello

I have Toshiba P300 with exactly the same problem, except that I use the included wireless Lan Adapter factory. I do not use external modems directly connected to the P300. All parameters controlled, disconnected firewall, AVG linkscanner disabled. XP works perfectly that this laptop with Vista has a curious problem.

    Hello

You should update the Vista in the last State and should also update the BIOS and Wlan driver!
The WLAN driver update is required.

I put t have an idea of what Wlan card you have, but the drivers are located on the Toshiba Wlan driver page:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

either directly on the WiFi card manufacturer site.

If this problem does not appear usign Win XP, then it must be a Vista or Vista Wlan driver problem

    Hello

The Toshiba Recovery disk is always worth a try! ;)

But before you do, make sure you use the same standard WLAN on your router, for example, 802.11 g or Draft N.
Also try resetting your router (disconnect the AC adapter) and the search on the site of the factory for an update of the firmware.

    Hello!

What laptop you have and you have the latest driver WLAN? You can download it here:
    http://195.182.196.33/WLAN/

In addition, I recommend turning off some options that affect the WLAN functionality (device-online card Manager WLAN-online properties => energy saving) saving.

The laptop and the router, use the same standard WLAN and disable all the security settings on the router for the test.

  • Satellite L300 PSLBGE Vista 64bits - WLan disconnects at random times

    Hey,.

I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite L300 (PSLBGE series) computer laptop. It has 4 GB of RAM, so I installed Windows Vista Ultimate 64 on that.

Problem is that on the Toshiba site there are only drivers Vista32 and with those that I found online, the wireless adapter works, but it keeps disconnecting at random times. It works fine until it stops randomly, there is no message "Network cable" unplugged

He let go the IP address but I tried to keep a 'ping t' on and it gives "the request exceeded" for a period of time and then it comes back.

    What should I do?
    Thank you

    Hello

First of all, it would be interesting to know what you have exactly the WLan card.

I know you could use some WLan drivers from this Toshiba WLan page:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

In addition, I recommend turning off some options that affect the WLan in energy saving feature.

First turn off in energy-saving WLan card properties. (device-> card Manager WLan-> properties-> energy saving)
Then check the power options of Vista-> wireless adapter settings > power save Mode

Here this Toshiba doc could be useful for finding these settings:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/HTD84026Q0000R01.htm

Finally and above all the Advanced tab in-WLan card-> properties > Device Manager contains some useful WLan settings that might increase WLan performance

    Welcome them

  • Satellite P100-400: WLan disconnects after seconds of connection

    Hello

just bought a Toshiba P100-400, but I have a problem with the wireless card, I think.
It disconnects after seconds of connection Wi - Fi. I have already downloaded the readers of the toshiba site, but it still does the same thing and I can't surf the web.

Is this a hardware or driver problem?

    Anyone?

    Thank you

    Hello

Similar problem was with older Intel 2200 BG WLAN card, but it is resolved with newer drivers. Please check the download page of Toshiba or Intel download page under http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df-external/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=2259&lang=eng

By the way: this problem was not present with all routers. I noticed this just with a few of them. Test of connection with different WLAN routers (different manufacturers).

  • WLan disconnect on Equium P300-16 t with card Realtek RTL - 8187B

I have a Toshiba Equium P300-16 t which is Vista (as purchased) and I am experiencing a problem whereby the without wireless disconnects me and I can't come back unless I just simply disable and enable the wireless card and then it works for a period of time (maybe 3 minutes, 10 minutes or a little longer if I'm lucky).

All other laptops work fine on the same network, so I know that it is the problem of the laptop it does the same thing at work too.

I tried upgrading the Realtek drivers and his worst kind end uninstall and get back to the original shipped with the laptop drivers who, then it works for a while and then disconnects and wander around.

I've seen other people who say that they have the same problems and that you have just the laptop hard wired that works perfectly. But can someone help and point me in the right direction to solve this problem - or do I just buy another wireless card and install it?

(Note that I tried everything to fix this in the removal of Norton antivirus and full make-up Remover and try to disable AV, but that's all the same problem no matter what I try).

    Hello

I read that an update of the BIOS can sometimes help.
That's why I recommend you first what version of BIOS is pre-installed.
If a newer version is available, update.

In addition, you said that you did an update of the WLan driver.
I put t know which driver WLan you used but here on this driver Toshiba WLan page you can find the most recent:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

Last but not lease that I recommend that you check the setting in the device-> Properties Manager card WLan-> Advanced tab.

Change the WiFi standard 802. 11B G etc. and Wlan channel.
Also check the Vista power management if this problem occurs only with the battery power then I should disable energy saving

    See you soon

  • Satellite L25-S1192: WLan disconnect when moving from router

I looked in the nets, and I can't find an answer to my exact problem.

I have a laptop Satellite L25-S1192 and XP running.
My problem is the Wi - Fi works very well until I'm 10-15 feet away from the router.

Once I get beyond that point, I lose the connection even if when I display the network connections it shows that I'm still have an excellent signal and always connected. Other laptops work in the House and I did several other tests to rule out the router.
I updated the driver but nothing seems to help.

Given that the connection is working near the top which tells me the settings are correct.

    What Miss me?
    Any help is appreciated.

    Hello

In my view there is nothing wrong.
The WiFi signal seems to be too low and therefore the WiFi disconnects.

I think that this happens when you run Notepad with battery operation. Right?

Well, you can go to Device Manager-> properties-> Advanced tab Wlan card
There you can check if the WiFi network is set to mode harder

  • WLAN disconnect on my Satellite L300

    Very expensive!

I got Toshiba Satellite L300 1 to 3 for two years now with original Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit).

    My wireless has never worked.

I updated my driver for my Realtek (RTL8187B wireless 802 11 b / g 54 Mbps USB 2.0 network adapter) so many times so please do not recommend anything like this again. I searched so many times in forums like this one and other and tried everything but nothing worked.

PROBLEM IS: I managed to connect to my modem, but the connection disconnects immediately I get out of my internet browser. Wireless CAN find networks, but cannot stay in touch! So I guess that the equipment works properly. Is it?

After that, I have to restart my computer to find these wireless networks.

I tried to update the BIOS, but my computer crashed so I gave up on that.
It seems that all the FN F8 and F9 buttons are working.

Is it Vista? What should I do?
    Any help is appreciated!

    Hi assert,

    > I tried to update the BIOS, but my computer crashed so I gave up on that.
BIOS update crashed the fact your computer boot properly or what happened exactly while the BIOS update?

The BIOS update would be worth a try but make sure that you have downloaded the correct file for her.

No doubt, it can be useful if you reinstall Windows Toshiba recovery disc. Maybe something has confused the WLAN driver or something else. With recovery disk, you can restore the original settings. :)

  • Qosmio x 500-10T: WLan disconnects after 15 minutes with a DNS server

My qosmio connects to my wireless network but after 15 minutes, it disconnects a DNS server is not found I know that's not my router because all other wireless pc connect. It seems that wireless equipment is either a faulty driver or hardware is to ventilate.

Any suggestion is welcome. I have updated the driver and tried to turn off the wireless and it re-engage.
    But still, it disconnects.

    Hi mate

DNS problems mainly affect the router problems.
I think you should try to reset the router WLan first.
In addition it s recommended to update the WLan driver.
You must use the most recent of which are available here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

I had a DNS problem with my PS3 connected to the kind of router home was that my laptop could not connect too and the same error was noticeable.
I have reset the router, checked all the settings and after 10 minutes, the two devices could run again.

Tried to put on an older theread, but they are locked as solved. Well, mine isn't. Usual problem of the WLAN as well on the sector but WLAN adapter disconnects Internet intermittenetly on battery. I have...

  • Re: Satellite C660-119 - WLAN disconnect battery

I would really appreciate if someone can help me here on behalf of my mother!

She has a Toshiba Satellite C660-119. Everything works fine when the power supply is connected to the laptop, but as soon as she disconnects it then he loses (Virgin Media router) wireless connection. Two other laptops (family members) work quite well. The problem is last week she bought an another Toshiba Satellite and had the same problem, so we went back today thinking it was defective and got the C660 but it happens on this one too!

    Any notice received with gratitude.

    Hey,.

If this only happens on the battery, I think that it s economy feature that will be activated WLAN energy battery mode. That means WLAN card saves energy, but it could be loose connection.

Take a look in the Windows power management and assign card WLAN for Performance maximum battery mode. This document will help you:

  • Satellite L510 - WLAN disconnects after having ejected the disk USB

    Hey.

I got my computer Toshiba laptop a few months and have been having this problem early. Initially, it was not the case very often and so it wasn't if big a deal, but now it's getting boring because of the frequency.

    What's happening:
After I eject any USB connection (the most frequent with my external HARD drive and other kinds of USB keys), my wireless network connection disconnects.

I always try to go to the tab 'network and sharing Center' and 'disable' and 'activate' the connection, but it rarely works. Most of the time, the pop-up that says something like "allowing wireless connection" doesn't go away. It sort of 'crashes', but not exactly either, as I am still able to use other parts of the laptop. I tried many things, but the ONLY fix I found is to restart the computer.

HOWEVER, it is not a normal reboot. It takes about 7-10 minutes to restart. There is this blue screen of ms back (is that what it's called?) immediately after it restarts, but it is only there for like 3 seconds and then he asks me if I want to start windows in normal mode or safe mode.

I would really appreciate if someone could provide any kind of fix for this.

    My laptop:
    -Satellite L510
    -Windows 7 64-bit OS
    -pentium (R) dual-core CPU T4500 2.30 GHz
    -2 GB of ram

    Hi captainmarvel,

Just a simple question: have you tried to update the driver WLAN?
New driver WLAN, you can find on the official website of Toshiba in order to check this!

Well, I never really heard this about WIFI disconnects after the ejection of a USB drive. That's really curious.
You write that you are running Windows 7 64 bit but it is preinstalled Windows 7 in Toshiba or not?

  • Satellite L500D-167 (PSLT9E-01701MS4) - WLAN disconnects

I have this laptop and he is nowhere to be found on the internet. It does not exist.

OK now... Wireless on this laptop is OK as long as I use it constantly. 10 min. idle means disconnection. It is not possible to reconnect again. Only restarting solves the problem. WHY? I have the latest drivers. I'm starting to hate this laptop!

    HELP ME PLEASE

    Thank you very much

    Christina

    Hello Christina,

I imagine that you research the laptop in the Internet because you need new driver WLAN for it. All the drivers and tools that you can find here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

Now, you can search the points:
    Laptop > Satellite > Satellite L Series > Satellite L500D > PSLT9E

Maybe there is a new version of driver WLAN. Otherwise, make sure that energy-saving WLAN is disabled in Windows and update firmware on your router.

By the way: what OS are you using?
