M6 - 1084 slow CA WLAN card, replacement?

Hello

I just bought a laptop Pavillion M6 - 1084CA yesterday brought home for my greatest pleasure and started setting up.

I noticed that the laptop seems to be a bit slower than my gateway download 2.5 year, it is supposed to replace.

I saw that the WiFi was only related to 65Mbps, and after some digging around to see the WLAN card into the notebook is a single stream and seems to only support 72Mbps top, which is unacceptable to me.

My old laptop connects to an 300MBps solid and I have a fiber line in my house, so the 65 Mbps is a real handicap.  I regularly download 8 - 8.5 MB/s WiFi on my old laptop and I refuse to accept the 4 Mbps downloads on a new machine that is supposed to last me another 2 to 3 years, that's why I pay for the internet service high-end home.

In any case, I did some research through the manual of support but did not find a card that would connect at 300Mbps.  Such a card is even supported on HP laptops?  Otherwise laptop goes to the store as soon as possible and I'll get something else.

Everyone was able to replace the card by another is not so slow?  Keeping in mind, that I also want to keep the bluetooth on the thing.

Hello:

I guess you will have to return it.

I agree with you that after reviewing the maintenance manual, none of the supported cards are dual band.

The only cards that can be installed in any HP laptop are those indicated in the maintenance manual and they must also have the part number HP on them or will not work.

HP crashes all the cards not supported in BIOS (called a white list).

    Hello

I have Toshiba Satellite A100-847. I would change as WIFI card for new with "n" standard.
I found some tutorials how to proceed, but it was for Toshiba A105, very similar to my only.

I opened the bottom cover where is memory and modem, but I couldn't see all the PCI ports.
    Is it possible to do?
Does work through mini-PCI or is integrated on the motherboard?

    Hello

The A100 PSAA9E supports a minPCI WLan card that supports the IEEE 802 standard. 11a / g WLan standards.
I m not 100% sure if it would be possible to upgrade the WiFi network with a WLan card 802.11 minPCI n because the two antenna cables.
You should first clarify if the antenna is compatible with the 802.11 standard new * WLan N standard *.

The minPCI wireless network card must be hidden under the keyboard. So you'd have to remove the keyboard first to get access to the wireless network card.
The wireless network card is also connected to two antenna cables. The cables must be removed carefully using a pair of tweezers. Then spread plugs securing the wireless LAN card until the card appears.

Usually it of not difficult to replace this WLan card but if you have no experience I wouldn t recommend doing this.
This replacement must be done by a qualified technician!
In addition you guarantee the validity could be cancelled after these updates.

I think so. Because it is a desktop computer should not be restrictions on wireless cards. Get a map of 5 GHz, and move forward.

  • Tecra M4: How to replace the WLAN card

    Hello
I have a Tecra M4 laptop and want to upgrade my wireless card, is this possible without opening the whole case?
Most of the NB I know have these cards below the keyboard, or behind a clean cover accessible from the rear. Tried both, found nothing.

    Thanks in advance

    Florian

    Hello Florian

I fear that you will not be able to Exchange only WLAN card. The WIFI card on this laptop model is placed on site so stupid and laptop must be disassembled. Please be careful if you want to do this alone.

To be honest you shouldn't do this without maintenance manuals. One small mistake and you can damage the sensitive plastic components inside your laptop.

Furthermore, this model Tecra a pretty good and quick WLAN card. G standard, if I remember well. I have the same card on my Tecra and data transfer is OK.

What WLAN card you want to use now?

  • Satellite P300-1EX slow (high) ping - card Atheros AR9281 WLan -.

I just bought the laptop above and fight with insanely high during wireless pings.

It is only when connecting via wireless, as when it is connected directly to the router, that is fine.

    TIA.

    Hello

Please check if you are using the latest Atheros WLan driver.
The latest driver can be found here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/

In addition, you must ensure that you are using the latest version of the BIOS.
See the European driver of Toshiba page and compare the BIOS installed with the BIOS on the Web site.
If there is a newer version then update!

Please also check the properties of card WLan (-WLan card-> properties > Device Manager)
There, you can turn off the option that could affect energy saving WLan functionality

  • Satellite P10-304: replacing a WLan card - can I the same WiFi chip?

    Hi all

got a satellite P10-304 of a companion here.
He said the free thread never worked on it and hes had it years and someone else has already looked at and changed the TNA wireless card.

Basically, she acts only as the wireless switch does not work and it remains permanently off the coast, although the drivers install correctly and map also shows ok. Simply disconnected.

Now, I thought, okay, I'll take a look because I'm pretty good on the old hardware. Has taken apart and this you know, switch has been bent and not up. I handed the place, checked the switch and stop positions with a multimeter to check the switch worked and he was doing his job perfectly.

    Now it still doesn't.
I guess it is now due to the fact that as I said, the map has been changed since its origin to a processor intel pro jobby.

My question is, I'm right, do I just need to get the same card that was originally in it. I assumed that when the switch is set correct return, that I solved it.

    Hello

The WiFi card must be activated bu switching the switch TO the position (the LED must illuminate) and in addition, you should choose the WLan antenna using the FN + F8 key combination.

    Please check this!

Notes; go to Device Manager-> properties-> Advanced tab Wlan card
There you can check if the WiFi is enabled as well.

I've had a few confusing issues with my internet connection for a few weeks now:

  • New on Satellite Pro 6100 WLAN card installed, but can not be activated

Hi, just replaced the internal Wireless LAN card on my laptop Satellite Pro 6100. Map of yesterday and today have the same problem: I can't turn them on. They are installed properly and supposed to run in what concerns the XP drivers, but does not detect wireless network andy saying it is "disabled".

I tried upgrading to the latest version of BIOS
    I reinstalled the latest drivers
Toshiba network device switch sees only the Intel Pro/100 VE wired, network card, but not the card the Intel Pro/Wireless 2200BG.
Direct activation of the Wireles does not produce a said connection disable, enable, trying to connect, but it fails, as if he did not see the network.

Past and present, wireless card fail to see any network.

    Martin

    Hello Martin

This model of laptop is quite old and at that time 2200 card was not on the market. I can imagine that there is a compatibility issue.

I think for older models of laptops, the best solution is the use of a faster but external solution in the form of PCMCIA or USB WLAN card. With the help of these cards you will not have compatibility issues.
What do you think of this?

  • P20: Where to buy compatible miniPCI WLan card?

This model comes standard with wifi a/b/g 802.11 module and Toshiba is not in stock, so I need to know if it is guaranteed replacement or if anyone knows where to buy. This is the part number K000007500.

I think I downloaded the driver from toshiba but no way of knowing withot lan card mini pci.
    Thanks, Andrea

    Hello

As far as I know the card you mentioned in your post is just a / b one. I found information that are compatible for P20 WLAN cards:
    PA3212U-4MPC (Agere 802. 11b)
    PA3273U-2MPC (Atheros 802.11ab)

This device about three years ago and currently, there is no WLAN card with standard g. In my opinion, you should contact the Service of your country partner and look for information on compatibility with the WLAN cards. Flippers in another way, you can check if you have something under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/generic_content.jsp?service=EU&ID=ONLINE_SHOP

  • Laptop Dell Studio 1537, my "WLAN card stopped working properly.

I'm not savvy material even when it comes to computers. The last few weeks I had a weak wifi signal and pages were loading very slow and not all the way, etc. I was not able to download anything really, either because of the connection. Earlier I had a pop up of Problem Reports and Solutions, saying "your WLAN card stopped working properly. There is a network adapter that allows your computer to connect to a wireless network. To find out if a version update of your wireless network card is available, contact the manufacturer of your device or computer. »

My laptop is a 2008 Dell Studio 1537 is no longer under warranty now (I had to pay almost $ 200 for a crack small cover courtesy of my dad dog last year so I'm not a joke). How would I go about fixing that would not cost a fortune? I read something about some people fixed by re-installing the drivers of some sort, but as I said, I'm not too savvy material etc. with comps so I'm a little confuzzled.

  • XPS 8500 (early 2012) 1703 WLAN Bluetooth replacements not working / compatible

I have a XPS 8500 (early 2012). A few months ago, the Bluetooth works OK. A few days earlier, he ceased to recognize all the devices in the region (explore ipad, iPhone, Cricut, LG phone, etc.). In addition, the bluetooth devices there is place could see is no longer the computer as well (Yes, discovery has been enabled). I opened the file and checked that there is a mini DW1703 WLAN PCIe card installed. All the drivers installed and are ongoing. The system indicates that all devices are working correctly. I deleted all the software/drivers and reinstalled several times. The WIFI feature works OK, just the Bluetooth does not work. First of all, can tell me what other wireless with Bluetooth cards will work properly in this system? When I talked to Dell parts department, they had no card DW1703 or DW1704 to spare in stock. In the meantime, I ordered a USB Bluetooth stick, but still want to replace the card since if Bluetooth is bad on the map, it is unclear how long the rest of the card can operate before the failure. I was watching a 3160 Intel Dual AC + Bluetooth mini PCIe card. It would be an acceptable card to use in the XPS 8500? Also, on a side note, when I talked to parts of Dell, told me that the Bluetooth is integrated directly on the motherboard and if I don't use a USB Bluetooth key, I need to replace the mother any function Bluetooth card. Is not correct, since the maps provided by Dell in this system are a combo WIFI + Bluetooth WLAN card. Any suggestions on what I can try that I did not mention in case the card is not bad? Then, what is acceptable as a replacement card, by Dell, Dell is currently out of stock on the maps of 1703 and 1704?

I installed an Intel 7260.HMWG network. Revised R WiFi wireless - AC 7260 H/T dual band 2 x 2 AC + Bluetooth about two months and it works great.  I have a router AC and installed the latest Intel drivers from their site.  I highly recommend it.  Let me know if you have any questions.  It took about 10 minutes to install.  I understand that the 7260 is twice faster than the 3160 and it only cost about $10 more.

  • Equium A60-156: can I spend it with WLan card?

Anyone know if I have antennas mounted in my laptop I want to install a mini-PCI Wireless card?
Ive found the crack but not sure if it has already installed antennas again. No matter what welcome halp. Thank you.

    Hello

As much as I know WiFi is not available on satellite A60-156
In this case it should not be possible to upgrade the device with the minPCI wireless network card.
You can use an 'external' as a USB WiFi key or a PCMCIA WLan card.
I would prefer the WLAN USB key. It is not expensive and very easy to use.

    Hi Carl

According to the specs of your device is not ready WLAN. This means that you can not switch on the unit with the mini PCI WLAN card. Only solution is the card PCMCIA or USB WLAN stick.
