  In order to have our design software to take the right for every different paper tray, we must triple (once for each tray) this printer (Laserjet 5200tn). We did successfully on all our XP systems using the disc that came with the printer. We are currently migrating to Windows 7.

  First of all. The disc that came with the printer will NOT work under Windows 7. By clicking on empty install results in a message box which reads "the system cannot find the path specified" in the title, there is nothing in the message outside this box. We confirmed that the drive still works out there in an XP system. This also happens when you try to install from an image of the drive we recorded in our network.

  In the second place. When you manually install the printer through the interface of Windows 7 it will perfectly everytime. Each instance of the printer installs without flaw. When you go to print options to change the settings of the tray, only the manual feed tray 1, tray 1 and tray 2 are configurable. Tray shows upward but cannot be configured (in gray).

  In the third place. We noticed the driver Windows 7 automatically installs is PCL5 while the disc installs PCL6 on all XP machines. Driver using Windows Update search does not return a PCL6 driver. I doubt that it has any account, however.

  Fourth. We tried to install the UPD PCL6, but that has nothing at all to help him.

  Printers still work and pull tray 3 so that there should be no problem connecting with tray 3 and we have two of these printers and it's the same problem with both. Any help is appreciated.

  Have you been in the properties of the driver under device options, scroll the installable options and change tray 3 not installed and installed to apply this option.

  (1) turn off the printer

  (2) pull tray 2 completely out.

  (2) turn on the printer without 2nd tray

  (3) turn off the printer

  (4) install 2nd tray

  (5) turn on the printer

  Basic scanning drivers built into the operating system only allow scan however a USB key.

  You can follow these steps to install the previous HP software by using compatibility mode:

  as the topic says I have problem with my beloved printer...

  It is a product that I bought because the seller told me that it can scan without a PC. It's wery useful function so he convinced me to this purchase. But when I got home I was surprised wery when discovered lacks Scan to email in the menu structure.

  The HP LaserJet Pro m127FN does not support scanning to e-mail.

  The HP LaserJet Pro m127FW supports scanning to e-mail.

  I don't think the seller you have lied. He was probably talking about the 127fw and accidentally sold you the 127dn instead. Or maybe did not know there was a difference between the two.

  Of your most recent post, looks like you're watching the wrong part of the Device Manager. Optical drive is listed under "readers of CD-ROM/DVD-ROM". The info you gave appear under "drives". If the drive is not listed under "readers of CD-ROM/DVD-ROM" or there is no such section in Device Manager, then Windows do not see. If windows can't see it then this means that there is no power or that the drive is broken.

  When you pushed the drive back in, the player no longer has much of the book or did you have to push all the way. If the latter, it means that the drive has no power or is broken.

  With respect to the opening of the case, I guess I should ask first if it's a laptop or desktop?

  Well there's no easy way to do I know offshore. I have come across this thread on Apple support community: Print rename status bar. They're editing the PPD file to change the names of the bins. It seems that it is possible within the OS X with some serious tinkering.

  I couldn't find a place were someone was able to change the names of plateau in a Windows environment.

  I just unpacked and install this printer.  Initially, it took the paper tray 2.  Now, he wants only to single stream of tray 1. I can't find a way to run from tray 2 or by default.  I have reset the tray several times, added paper... thinking that it is not read a sensor.  I'd appreciate any help.  Apart from that, it seems to be a beautiful machine.

  I did a full reset under configuration/services/restore default settings.  This seems to have solved the problem.  Now, it feeds from tray 2.
