  This particular screen means that your Mac could not find a valid system folder from upward. I recommend that you try reinstalling OS X using OS X Recovery. Please follow the steps below.

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

  If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    Regarding your plugins, CC 2014 structure is different and you have to wait your plugin maker updates. Simply dragging the plugins from the old installation CC could cause problems.

I'm trying to decide between an iMac (3.5 GHz quad-core i7, 8 to 32 GB of RAM, 3 TB Drive, NVIDIA GTX 780 M 4 GB GDDR5 Fusion) and a Mac Pro (3.7 GHz quad core, 12 to 64 GB of RAM, 256 GB to 1 TB of storage flash and Dual AMD over-pants D300 with 2 GB of GDDR5 VRAM GPU each/D500/D700-3 GB 6 GB). I was expecting some tips on the Mac Pro is worth the additional investment for After Effects - the software will take advantage of the extra power, or an iMac will be sufficient?

    After Effects is a program of CPU load and memory. The MacPro is faster, more scalable and more capable in all directions over the long term. Take any money you can save on the GPU and spend it on ram, buy some storage external thunderbolt, a table if you can afford it. External storage is a good idea for any system. The iMac will be a GPU capable or traced to the given radius, but it is a very slight advantage for a very limited type of project that will be of little benefit in the grand scheme of things.

  • Cannot re-enable Flash CS3 on Mac new after Migration Wizard

    I recently purchased a new Mac MIni and used the Apple Migration Assistant to transfer all my existing files and applications to the new machine, including my copy of Flash CS3, I bought in 2009. I use the Mavericks on the new machine.

    I tried to open Flash CS3 Pro and he asks me to reactivate my software. He tells me I have 5 days to do and sent me to a screen of reactivation.

    I first tried to use the online tool to reactivate, but get the error message "unable to connect". I checked on another forum to test my connection to https from Adobe servers and managed to connect, but the reactivation process still does not work.

    I then tried the telephone reactivation process but the phone system says that my reactivation code doesn't have a sufficient amount of characters!

    I checked a forum that says I need to remove a line of text from a file "hosts" etc, but this file is locked and I can't change it.

    Another suggestion is to fix my permissions of the drive using disk utility. Nothing has changed.

    Then I tried to chat to Adobe tool to see if a tech could help and they sent me here.

    Anyone know how I can get this resolved?

    never migrate to adobe products.  they must be properly installed.
