    Hi, Victor:

According to the specifications, this should not be a problem...

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docid=emr_na-c03029649

According to the parts list, there is only one model of system map, so it shouldn't matter what processor you install, as long as it's one of the reasons mentioned in the first link I posted.

  • Mac Pro (to 2008-ish) upgrade help requested!

    Hi guys,.

I just turned on my Mac Pro after 5 years and would like to give him a good ol' upgrade '.

The specifications are in the grabs form attached below.

How would you recommend that I do? Should I buy Snow Leopard from the Mac store and then make all the upgrades and then on the Mountain Lion?
Is the manual work that is robust enough to support one or two of these BONES?

It is running CS3 programs, I have CS4 on my MacBook Pro that I don't use, so I hope I can migrate this package on somehow too.

Read a lot of forums online, I think that CS3 programs running is possible up to Snow Leopard and CS4 up to Mountain Lion?

Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot for taking the time!
    SJ

Mac Pro1, 1 from a first generation Mac Pro and support for which ends in 10.7.5.   The only way to get to 10.7.5 via a purchase of 10.6, Yes.   If you want to spend money on this Mac Pro - rather than scrounging a somewhat more recent Mac Pro in the secondary market as a Mac Pro3, 1 Early 2008 model (which can run El Capitan) or a model later Mac Pro - add more memory.   Probably eight or maybe 16 years would be preferable, if you do any sort if intensive work with images or video.

  • 2009 mac Pro 8 core graphics upgrade advice

Hi everyone, my Mac Pro crashed recently and wiped out the SSD drive and 8800gt graphic card in the process. I have since replaced the SSD but you want to replace the graphics card also. Can anyone recommend some links to maps of upgrade appropriate that work with this machine you?

Take a look at macvidcards, they have a wide variety of graphics cards from amd and nvidia, from low cost to high power.

In general, every current video card should work in your mac, but the 'pure windows versions' do not show an image until osx is fully charged and drivers are loaded.

Versions of macvidcard are flashed so can show splash screens. Not normally necessary, but when that mind in the process of starting or when you need bootcamp boot selection screen, you will see the value of the additional monetary you spent for the funniest versions.

I got my 980ti to them.

  • Satellite Pro L630 - 14L - CPU upgrade possible?

Is it possible to upgrade processor in this model: L630 14 L? If yes what processors are supported?
Another question - my hdmi port stopped working - is the possible replacement?

    Hello

With regard to the question on the CPU upgrade:
This question was asked several times here in the forum. I recommend you read the other discussions on upgrading the CPU.

Usually, the case is simple: the manufacturers of portable don t support this upgrade for clean products. The CPU is delicate because the new processor must be based on two essential elements: chipset and BIOS.

The laptop supports the Mobile Intel HM55 Express Chipset.
So, you know, what would the CPU supported by the chipset.
But like I said above: the BIOS support is also important and finally everything depends on the BIOS whether your new processor works or not.

  • Satellite Pro L20-PSL25E - CPU upgrade question

    Hello

I upgraded the ram last year and im running high-performance for my model, 2.0 GB.

This really helped for awhile, but after a few heavy programs have been installed this year (only one software, one game) ive noticed it running slow as before, its worth noting that my computer has adopted all the necessary specifications for both outside the game where im working on 1.7 ghz and it needs the least 2.0 ghz processor , and I'm short on speed slowest peformance of the game itself.

The vehicle has currently a centrino pentium, keeping in mind a new portable computer is not in my budget, is it worth getting a new processor and which would be best?

    Thanks again, Rebecca.

    Hello

My personal opinion is that Satellite L20 is not designed for heavy operations and is certainly not game machine. If you compare the price of Satellite and Satellite L laptops you'll understand why. I'm sure that this laptop is designed for Internet, office and simple every day activities.

Upgrading RAM is very good and I'm sure it helps a lot but CPU upgrade is not the solution. Update CPU is not supported. You must also understand that each hardware platform is designed for optimal physical activity. Processor, graphics, cooling system and other hardware components must work without overheating and harmonic. Stronger CPU means more heat.

In my opinion you should optimize operating system preinstalled software hoping you use will work better and more stable.

  • Satellite Pro A100 - PSAAAE CPU upgrade

    Hi Toshiba,

I have an old * Satellite Pro A100 * _PSAAAE-type_ and I would like to upgrade the processor. I have seen that is 479, and I found that there are the Core 2 Duo on this plug. The 945GM chipset supports Core 2 Duo, but I don't know if my laptop BIOS supports these CPU.

    Someone can confirm or not?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

In General, upgrading the CPU is not recommended.
Of course, you can use the processors that are supported by the chipset, but the BIOS compatibility is another story. No one can tell if your laptop would be stable after this upgrade due to the higher heat dissipation.

But I read in this forum that some guys have upgraded the processor and the laptop still works

  • Satalite Pro A60 - issue CPU upgrade

    I have a Satalite Pro A60 model EN PSA65E 01HOOU8K

It has an Intel Celeron processor 2.8, I wonder which is more processor which can take, I
tried to find this info, but'm not 100% sure, I watched a Pentium 4 in the link below

http://Ark.Intel.com/product.aspx?ID=27369 this CPU will work with this laptop.

    Thanks in advance.

    Soon Alex.

Update CPU's official not taken in charge and you will not get a solid with the new CPU performance boost because the laptop is old enough

But as far as I know if you have a PSA65E model, you should check the specifications of other A60 Pro of the Satellite with the PSA65E model number. If they have faster processors, it could work in your model too, but there is no guarantee, and everything happens on your own risk!

  • Mac Pro optimized for Photoshop and Premier Pro, yet affordable data sheet

I'll replace it my old desktop Mac Pro with a new.  I'm looking for advice for the choice of the configuration suitable for the new Mac Pro for use with the latest versions of Photoshop and Premier Pro.  This must be balanced with a budget between $ 4000 to $6500.  I use several storage on hard disk for my files, but I'm not pleading for all the advice to do this, my Photoshop is used for photo editing, with several images of at least 25 MB files panoramas and a high dynamic range and composite (used Photoshop for 10 years).  I have not started using Premier Pro for video editing, but he'll use it mainly in the next 18 months to edit movies in the family home.

Primary technical issues are the GPU D300 or D500, CPU speed and the number of hearts 4 or 6 or 8 and the memory ECC DDR3 12 GB or 16 GB or 32 GB or 64 GB.

Read various articles Internet and clients of the Mac Pro, I find that I am unable to lead to a final choice.  An article said that Adobe has designed its software to effectively use the new Mac Pro GPU and CPU cores.

    Thank you

    MIKE

I would say at least 16 GB of ram with 32 GB really what you want because of the bi - GPU "s. If you do not have enough ram to feed two video cards, then these two cards will have a limited performance. D300 cards are really loss. I wouldn't bother with nothing less than the cards D500, especially if you plan to use the first. AMD cards already have half the performance that Nvidia cards do with acceleration GPU Adobe Premiere. I wouldn't make it worse with D300 cards. I also suggest you the processor 6 4 soul. Otherwise just get the new Imac instead of you want a Mac.

  • Mac Pro CPU and GPU upgrades

Hello, I am looking to buy a Mac Pro 2008 and had a few questions. 1. I found I can pass of say a 2 X 2.80 GHz 2 x 3.0 GHz CPU, but I looked up a few processors (from my MacBook Air i5 2013) and one very well like i5 Core 6600 k in guides and found compared to my only MacBook, it is barely faster , but compared to the 6600 k, is pretty lame. So I would like to know if I can put a more modern, faster CPU in the Mac Pro. 2. I saw you pass GPU also through multiple models of Mac Pro, but a similar question, wondering if I can swap in a GPU more modern. I'd be by accepting a list of compatible CPU / GPU if it works.

    Thank you!

  • Vs CPU Ram graphic card upgrade for Mac pro performance?

Just after the crossroads to aboard the cloud to Adobe and seeks help on CPU Ram vs graphics card GPU.

    Material:

    • MAC Pro (early 2009) 4.1 2.26 Ghzdual core 8, 23 grams (5 x 4 g sticks and sticks of 3 x 1 G), 4 x 1 TB 7200 RPM int. HD (1 scratch drive), (no windows don't things here)
    • Graphics card Ge Force GT120 Machine has 64-bit capability, but normally starts in 32- bit due to old still used 32-bit apps.
    • Watch CS6 AE activity monitor uses all 16 son, works in 64 bitsand seizes about 10 Gig of ram to operate in.

    Software:

    • Running OS x 10.6.8. (Snow leopard) with all updates.
    • All major video applications: creative cloud (also have studio FCP 3 installed but just move to Adobe now on video works)

I really like this AE & body use all threads, made in the background (which results in NO crashes (so far)) because my old 120 GT video card apparently is more stifling that it worked in FX in FCP 7 & 4 Motion.

    1. Q - can someone point me in the direction of how Adobe got the device to use all the cores and threads and run it in 64-bit, but starts in 32 bit?

In terms of performance, (rendered in particular) I know I should go to the Apple/ATI 5870 graphics card, but as a veterinarian of fixed-income securities disabled, $450 is hard to find. I evaluated cards flashes, including those of macvidcards on ebay, but for used cards which are flashed, it gives me pause, especially when they are about the same price as the new price of 5870.

So I am struggling with trying to figure out that the best shot for the less $$$, where the issue of the title.

    1. Is it more effective for video FX works to add CPU ram or (gulp) to upgrade the video card to 5870 card?

Example: I can add sticks of 3 x 4 G in place and place existing 3 x 1 G sticks of ram for less than $200 CPU. A new 5870 card is $ 450 Apple. Approach that annoys me that most make speed plant put VFX work in AE CS6 or P Pro CS6?

Sorry, I'm more than a little fuzzy on this, but hoping a kind soul will lead the way.

    Ken

For After Effects, more RAM is better. For Premiere Pro, an improved GPU is more important. In addition, you might consider spending money even on an SSD, which is beneficial for both (for caches).

The panic occurred because the queue of the AHCI is truncated. Thus all things SATA are immediately suspect.

These extensions on the "scene of the crime" are used ordinary ACHI drivers for SATA drive.

In your added kernel extensions, you have an additional driver for RocketRAID. If possible, you should remove only while debugging this problem. It was not explicitly on the "crime scene", but it may have made changes that caused the instability.

In addition, readers could be involved in this problem, as a failed drive can spray data in the wrong section of memory, rewrite of things.

  • Mac Pro keeps stopping, lightweight CPU a / b overtemp on

I bought a used Apple Mac Pro 2.1 in December.  I use it mainly for editing my photos on Adobe PS, using filter of camera RAW.  The unit never gave me any problems, until early last week.  Here are the specs:

    | 8-CORE 3.0Ghz (2 x Quad-Core)

    | 32 GB OF RAM

    | 250 GB SSD

    | V RAM OF 4 GB GTX-680

    | Double BONE - El Capitan (primary) and Yosemite on two separate boot disks.

All started early last week, with an error screen when I open an CR2 on Adobe PS file.  I got this message...

"Camera Raw has temporarily disabled acceleration graphics processor because of the error." Update your graphics card driver may solve the problem. "Choose the option 'Use the graphics processor' in the dialog box Camera Raw prefer to re - enable GPU support.

In 5 minutes, I when preferences and choose 'use the graphics processor', then continued my work.  Subsequently, the Mac suddenly stops without any warning whatsoever! No message, no noise from the tower itself, the power light remained.  I then turned off the power.  I waited for a minute and he went back on.  The password screen, it would be closed again.

I then let the rest of the machine for 30-45 minutes, removed any buildup of dust inside using compressed air and turned on the unit return to perform minor troubleshooting. as well as other "light work" to avoid an overload of the system... He will stop in 35 minutes to turn on the machine.

Still, I unplugged everything (including the power cord) to reinstall the two riser cards. I powered the Mac with the access panel open, to keep an eye on something unusual.  All fans are smooth running, no sign of problems.  Until I updated the driver (Nvidia Cuda) GPU, the machine will stop again in 10 minutes!  Frustrated, I opened the side panel to only discover, both red lights (CPU A / B) on the section of the overheating of the logic board.  After the recharge time, I restarted the MAC and ran a tempature monitor I have installed.  I noticed the radiator of the Northbridge turned very quickly when I was running Adobe PS, please refer to the picture I have attached.

I have no idea what to do next.  I'm not sure if I need a replacement PSU, or something else entirely.  Pointers, help and/or advice.  I greatly appreciate it!

  • Upgrade the OS on Mac Pro 2009 OS 10.5.8 to a newer version without Apple Store

    Hello Mac Fans,

I need upgrade OS on a Mac Pro 2009 with current OS 10.5.8 to the latest possible version for this model. I don't have app from Apple Store in this version of the operating system.

    Data sheet:

    Model name: Mac OS X 10.5.8 (9L31a)

    Processor: Dual-Core Intel Xeon

    Model name: Mac Pro

    Model identifier: MacPro1, 1

    Processor: Dual-Core Intel Xeon

    Processor speed: 2.66 GHz

    Processors: 2

    Total number of cores: 4

    L2 Cache: 4 MB

    Memory: 4 GB

    Bus speed: 1.33 GHz

I should be grateful if you would help with the following two questions:

    • Do I need to purchase the snow leopard for $19.99 on their Web site and then move into the new OS version / new? Is there a way to avoid spending money on a platform that will only fill to the latest operating system for this iMac?
    • Settle El Capitan on this model of iMac result in slower operation of the operating system? My computer is too old for the El Capitan? If so which version should I update and where can I get if go?

In addition, it's Mac was having once belonged to one of my friends. Do I need from the previous apple associated with this MAC ID for purchases in apple store?

It seems to pay to use a vintage OS on an iMac vintage not knowing if it will work even ridiculous. I also own a MacBook Pro3, 1 (intel Core 2 Duo 2. 4 GHz, 4 GB) and I upgraded from the same version of the operating system: 10.5.8 directly in El Capitan and I didn't have to pay. I had however Apple Store that seems to make the software easier to access, but the operating system should be available for free download directly from Apple. I got the ElCapitan installer disk external and transferred to the Mac Pro, but the pop-up message advised that it was impossible to install this version. The difficulty in upgrading the operating system more old iMac is not just for Apple users.

If you can, let me know what I can do to make the use of this machine.

    Peace

    1. unless you have another Mac, you do. This step can be skipped using target disk mode, installation thumbdrive or NetInstall (Mac OS X Server only), but doing so will probably need scrub or repartitioning the internal drive.

    2. the most recent OS because it is 10.7.5.
