I have discs for Creative Suite but the LR has been downloaded originally so I do not have the disk.   I bought a new computer that is running Windows 7. I have Adobe Creative Suite 2 Premium. When I install and try to open any programs, I get a message that tells me that there is an incorrect serial number. I called Adobe and they said that the serial number is fine, but that the program isn't compatible with Windows 7.

  Is it possible to make this work? Do I need to buy a CD to upgrade, which is available?

  I encountered the same problem with serial number incorrect error when you try to run the program. It seemed to turn fine on internet, but got the error when you try to run one of the programs. I found that if I created a new directory for program files (I used "C: Program Files OldV") on my C: drive and installed CS2 for that (instead of the regular two provided in Windows 7 directories), it works! This work around worked on two different copies of Adobe Creative Suite 2 Premium loaded on two different computers with Windows 7. (Apparently, he can't deal with the parenthesis in the Windows program directory usually "C:\Program Files (x 86)".) When I told it to install in "C:\Program Files", Windows always put the files in "C:\Program Files (x 86)".) (I use Windows 7 Home Premium).

• Installation CD of Adobe Creative Suite 4 stalls at "installation preparation".

  A few months ago, it has been installed on my new laptop Windows 8.  However, for some reason, the person is my installation was missing Adobe Acrobat 9 and I'm looking to remedy that.  I put it in the CD and it goes through the first step... I think it's "system check" or similar.  Then, it displays all the programs that I can choose to install.  I check Adobe Acrobat 9 and then goes to "prepare for installation" and is never beyond.  I took a NAP hours waiting for her and nada.
