    If you push and hold the button / stop, it should turn off in about three seconds.

    If this does not work, try the Command + Option + command + eject button

    Have you tried to navigate to the toolbar  > Shut Down?

    If you bought the CD, you will not have a download link in your account, but the downloads are available for most modern versions of Photoshop.  You can use your serial number of the drive to activate after installing the download.

    Never, never the migration. CS installs is 'Specific to the Machine', you break allowed it.

    Based on your model described, it seems that the beginning of 2014 MacBook Air should be able to produce a somewhat higher resolution for a monitor external, as shown here:

    However, the max possible resolution may be limited by the type of connection, or the specific adapter you use. For example, this Mini-DisplayPort-HDMI adapter supports up to 4 K (~ 3840 x 2160) resolution:

    Then how you connect to an external monitor can certainly affect the maximum resolution available. In this case especially, however, I suspect that the issue is actually the screen itself, as it appears from the Samsung S32E590C screen to list a 1920 x 1080 max resolution:

    I see that you have problems when you try to import MiniDV video from your camera to your MacBook Air. I see that you try to use a USB FireWire-cable to achieve this. I would suggest that you use a FireWire adapter rather Thunderbolt as a USB connection does not allow you to import the tape media in your computer.     When my MacBook is sent to sleep or I shut down the computer, the monitor will sometimes get stuck in a loop where he wakes up "Power Saving mode" then displays "Enter Power Saving Mode" then shut off again and repeat in less than a second.
